"Play Like a Girl" is the current album that counts - you'll see parts of the recording process, with girls from IMA's PreTeen Camp 2010 singing on it as the encore of their show; + an overdub, and more. Fanny was before their time.. They were the hardest rocking all female band back in the early 70s and they were compared to Deep Purple at that time because of their hard rocking music and musicianship. These ladies could rock hard!! Women musicians did not play like them back then... and its an injustice that Fanny never got their recognition that they deserved. They should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for being rock pioneers...
Totally in the same realm as Deep Purple, also Rainbow (Dio era) comes to mind when I listen to them sometimes. So damn good.

I don't know how I missed these ladies when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's. What a great band! Loving watching their vids on RUclips. I guess hitting the big time is mostly luck, but this band was really good and deserved a place on the top. This vid shows me they are still better than 95% of what calls itself music today.
I only remember their first song, didn't' realize they had more than one. I'm guessing they did not receive a lot of play time in this area!!

My best guitarist friend and I are both floored by their performances on Beat-Club and beside ourselves at how we are just discovering their music now, 2020!! I just came across Fanny today on accident..watching a live session from 1972/73 forget which, wow it blew me away i grew up in the late 1970s and though i heard all the good bands from that era. Nope i missed out on these chicks. I'm going back to find everything i missed, The bands of today need to take a page from their book.......Jams!!!!!☮

I'm 74 yo. I was a groupie for an all female band called Lilith, back in the 1970s. They released one LP, Boston Ride, in 1978. They were also one of the groundbreaking all-women bands, who faced discrimination because of their gender identity. I didn't know about Fanny back then, but I'm glad I've discovered you now. Some of the finest music I've ever heard.

I stayed up late to catch the doc about Fanny on my pbs station. I can't believe I didn't know about them back in the day😟. When I was young, I wanted to be "white boy w/guitar" because I wanted to play rock music. Being a black girl raised by a widowed mother( she was a great mom though") that wasn't encouraged. I was supposed to get a "real job". I did have piano lessons ( to help keep me and twin out of trouble). Fanny was just what I wanted to be. Glad to find out about them now! Rock on!!

Discovered Fanny during lockdown March 2020. Here it is a year later. Everyone I turn someone on to Fanny from back in the day I get the same response..." why were they not HUGE?!" The 70s were a different age I guess. They got Shafted for sure though.

Miss Nicole Barclay. Very good singer and awesome organist/pianoplayer and keyboardist. This was a fantastic rockband. Playing the shit out of many male bands! Still have all their albums on old vinyl.

The '72 live performance of Place in the Country blows me away whenever I listen/watch. How come I never heard of Fanny until 2019? Did parallel universes meld or something because it's baffling that I, and other old music lovers were totally unaware of your existence until recently? God why does this make me so happy... these girls have a revolution in their hands and voices! I mean I'm a big fan of Heart and Janice... but let's be Frank for a second... those girls ai t got shit on Fanny... all girls actually playing leads and singing harmonies.. not just an acoustic player an singer or just a singer.... These girls HAVE to get their recognition.. I for one will be a HUGE fan boy now because they play my favorite kind of music and they actually are good!! Ypu know that old familiar Rock N Roll feeling you get when you hear something you know is killer and it just haunts you until you hear it again... yea these girls have that creativity....They need their credit...
