- In this video I take you on an apartment tour of my new loft. I moved into a fully furnished apartment at what I think is a bargain! Here’s a look at what kind of apartment $300 USD or about ¥1800 can get you in Kunming China. In comparison to the bigger cities in China, this apartment is extremely cheap! A similar apartment in Beijing, Shanghai would probably cost double the price!

To others who check out this video, who wonder about the bigger cities' prices, I also live in a loft apartment (looks like bigger than this one) and I pay around ¥7500/$1100 for mine. This type of rent gap is par for the course in China. If you live in any smaller city and by "smaller", I mean not: Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, you should be able to find a nice, new apartment for very cheap, but I must say: as someone who's been in China for almost six years. That price is amazing and the quality is nice too. As a capital city, I didn't think Kunming would be THAT cheap.

can get apartments even cheaper than that if ur looking in the right district, i live in a 4 bedroom apartment fully furnished in Bao'an 5800 yuan per month excluding ulitilies
@@daynelim2850Oh for sure. Beijing apartments are overpriced and the quality’s nowhere near as good as down in Shenzhen. 😂
@@tc2334 I want to move to China as soon as I turn 18........I need to ask my Geges(friends in China who are like my older brothers) what to expect and prices and stuff like that to be able to plan it properly, but for now, I just need a way to get a part-time job or something there and stay at a hotel or a few hotels for a while, let's see if they agree with my plan or not as they know the reason I want to leave so quickly and they did say it isn't normal....one(first Gege) said to make money and save it for that time
This apartment is so cuteee!!! I hope to come back to China again one day and hopefully move there for awhile, definitely need to look into this area

Beautiful apartment. The only thing I don't think I can get used to is that if I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I would have to go downstairs and be wide awake!

contact an agent who can speak english. i assume you move there for working? otherwise you wouldn´t get a residence permit anyways. ask your colleagues for such agents. there are some companies who offer all kinds of services to expats who cannot speak english. also your cinese coworkers normally will be very happy to help and assist you with everything.

The forest coverage rate in Kunming is 70%. There is no winter and summer, only spring and autumn!Yunnan is a world-famous tourist area! Disadvantages: There are few high-paying jobs.😊

Nice place but if anyone expects to move to China and get an apartment like that for 1800 yuan keep dreaming. Most cities that apartment would cost 5000 - 10,000 yuan.

There is another place in china where the rent is much cheaper. Ten miles silver beach, huizhou. Apartment rent there is as low as 1500 yuan
