I agree. Tehran is nicer than most cities. Especially if you consider the fact US has many many cities. Only one with a population the same as Tehran. (New York). But New York is just as beautiful in its wealthiest areas, if not more. Which is what we're being shown in this video....Tehran's wealthiest communities. Regardless, Tehran's most evolved and wealthiest areas are much nicer than I expected. And much nicer than many areas in many US cities.

Came to Teheran many time overland driving a truck from the UK between 1974 & 1977, loved the country and the people. Wonderful memories now in my mid 70;s. Great video and how it has changed in 50 years.

@@migianogoux1967 - Thanks for that - The mid 70's in Iran was a great time and place to be and I enjoyed visiting Teheranl. We would for the few days that we were parked with some 'down time' in the customs compound, on the (then) outskirts, visit the city by taxi, probably daily, to phone home from the PTT (had no mobiles then) and do a bit of shopping etc. Looking at it now - it a really smart modern city - impressed.

I never knew Iran was so beautiful and people are so modernized but really nice to see it. Eye Opener for me. Beautiful Country with beautiful people ❤❤❤❤❤.
What do you mean by "modernised"? Your name suggests you're from India and so you should understand the importance of preserving your own culture and traditions. Wearing Western clothes is not modernisation. It's a form of colonialism where the West, through soft power influence push their culture and beliefs on the rest of the world. Modernisation should not be linked with Western values, especially clothes!

Nothing is wrong with the people. Its the people who lead the iranians that destroy the image iran to the world. Their policies are ruining the people individual rights. Their leaders are trouble makers creating proxies to control the middle east. These proxies like houthis, hezbollahs, hamas forment chaos and killings. I liked your comment. I live in Tehran, Iran. Its my honor to be your host if you want to visit Iran and came to Tehran. The Persian and Japanese cultures are closed to gather in many aspects like caring about parents and other family members and be gentle in front of elderly people and so.
Iran aims to uphold certain cultural and legal standards in public spaces, which can contribute to a different atmosphere compared to some other countries
This view is a bit distorted. These type of videos are showing you what are the most photogenic areas. It is true that there is less visable homelessness unlike in other countries. However that is not the same as saying there are no drugs. Iran has insanely high addiction rates and has for decades. They are just less likely to be unhoused. In many Western cities, someone who is working sporadically or on drugs without family support cannot possibly afford even the worst apartments. Not in view doesn't mean not there.
Great idea to publish these videos giving people around the world an insight into life in Iran. Most conclude that it looks so normal and similar to life elsewhere. We are often mislead by mainstream media.

@@larrytrejo1882 Nor do you see homeless running around super rich areas of other countries. The politicians and corrupt must live somewhere hey. Look you being lied to. Why not simply search RUclips for factual videos, not tourist propaganda. A leading economist said in May that at least half of Iran lives below the poverty line as the government fails to solve the economic crisis, and a report by the parliament’s research center released in July said the population below the absolute poverty line increased by 30.4% in 2021. Pirhadi, the deputy head of the parliamentary committee for Iran’s Seventh National Development Plan, stated that the economic decline in the past decade has led to social decline and a rise in financial corruption, drug abuse, and increased migration to large cities. Over the past decades, there have been several factors hindering Iran's economic development. The revolutionary chaos of the early 1980s, and the Iran-Iraq war that caused hundreds of thousands of casualties, derailed Iran from its modernization trajectory. The Islamic government, built on an anti-Western ideology that engaged in hostage taking and supporting militant groups left the country isolated. And in addition, the inefficiency of successive clerical governments and many years of international sanctions crippled the country's economy. The remarks by Pirhadi came a few days before the latest report by Iran's Statistics Center -- whose director was sacked by the president earlier in July. Although Iran's Statistics Center is administered and funded by the government and operates under the umbrella of the Planning and Budget Organization, it maintained a veneer of credibility as one of the very scarce sources of both economic and social data. The Islamic Republic's authorities are trying to use new definitions and indices for the inflation so that the official figures do not increase to numbers that can create panic in the market. The country’s economy has proven especially vulnerable to sociopolitical developments, such as rumors about a possible revival of the nuclear deal or large labor strikes.

I loved the video! Thank you! I hate the current demonizing of Iran and it seems from the comments that your video went a long way to debunk that tendency. I wouldn’t say Farsi and Arabic are similar, however, even though you go on to explain that they belong to different languages language families. Farsi, which I don’t speak but can recognise, is a beautiful, soft singsong language which I could listen to forever. In my youth some 50 years ago, I taught English to some very wonderful Iranians (who in those pre-revolutionary days, called themselves Persians), who were thoughtful, sensitive, aware people. Alas, I never visited, due to lack of funds (and maybe courage - I had a very tentative sense of identity and might have lost myself there). Your video had everything but the smells, which I missed, particularly in the Grand Bazaar, but I forgive you for that. Modern technology has a long way to go! Thank you again. a few things still with me as a South African after visiting Iran are:Outdoor eating in sheltered resturants lining up as a train with slots offering variety of choices of which dishes to choose from, with abundance of sitting and eating places irrespective of which slot you bought your meals from, second is ice skating in the mountains not far from town,it was enjoyable, third is going to the market next to the mosque, mixing with vibrant city reidents and the last impression is the BIGGEST FLAG,as you leave Tehran to the AIRPORT,for me,the flag is a signature, and a sense of Patriotism, that is truly to be proud of saying, ""YES WE ARE IRANIANS"

Okay, I bet you there are homeless and poverty-stricken people there. It doesn't matter what country we're talking about, your comment would not be sensible. Iran has violence, Iran has drug addicts, Iran has poverty. Every country on Earth has these things. Does it have beauty as well? Yes, but don't try to make it out to be a perfect place. As for Tehran being better than American cities, it's definitely better than some, at least in my opinion, but that's a very low bar to overcome. Is it better than all of them? Probably not.

This video really surprised me. I always thought Iran was a war-torn place, but it actually seems very peaceful. The people are nice, and the cities look modern and clean. I especially like the Tehran Grand Bazaar. It’s a treasure trove of antique and vintage items that tell stories of bygone eras. It seems like a wonderful place to visit. May GOD bless the people of Iran.
@RightyAllrighty the US backed Iraq ( Saddam's Iraq no less) in their long drawn out border war with Iran. The Iraqis infamously used poison gas. There was international condemnation. Iran suffered huge enough deaths of soldiers in this long war that there was a shortage of marriageable men. Perhaps you are of a much later generation and have no knowledge of this. The last wars in Iraq and Syria were caused by reckless US conduct. One of the biggest being ISIS..one of so much mystery the Western intelligence agency claims they don't know how ISIS rose..and even attacked Iran's parliament. Syria was overrun by ISIS ..how convenient. What was inconvenient was Bashir didn't fall tho most of the country was devastated. Irony is, the chaos of Syria allowed ISIS to arrive at Israel's doorsteps. At every step going back decades you will find USA's fingerprints in the chaos, deaths, and misery. No doubt Bashir, Ayatollahs nor Saddam are/were not saints. But neither is the US, and neither is Russia. And remember, one of the USA's Presidential candidate talks civil war if he does not win at upcoming elections, the same one when he was a sitting President allowed and even encouraged the sacking of the Capitol. The seat of USA's democracy. An act of war.

I agree. Tehran is nicer than most cities. Especially if you consider the fact US has many many cities. Only one with a population the same as Tehran. (New York). But New York is just as beautiful in its wealthiest areas, if not more. Which is what we're being shown in this video....Tehran's wealthiest communities. What do you mean by "modernised"? Your name suggests you're from India and so you should understand the importance of preserving your own culture and traditions. Wearing Western clothes is not modernisation. It's a form of colonialism where the West, through soft power influence push their culture and beliefs on the rest of the world.
Unfortunately when the Islamic Republic regime in Iran took power in the 70s it totally changed. Once progressive it’s now under sharia law. They lynched over 800 innocent civilians last year. Lots of torture. Eye gouging. Poverty. The people and cities are GORGEOUS it isn’t their fault. I’m Persian so I hear it all straight from the people it’s bad 😢

Salam Iranians from your neighbor (pakistan) ❤️
سلام پاکستان ❤
Greetings Brother ❤
As an Iranian, I love Pakistanis, you used to be a part of Iran. You are our brothers and sisters ❤
a few things still with me as a South African after visiting Iran are:Outdoor eating in sheltered resturants lining up as a train with slots offering variety of choices of which dishes to choose from, with abundance of sitting and eating places irrespective of which slot you bought your meals from, second is ice skating in the mountains not far from town,it was enjoyable, third is going to the market next to the mosque, mixing with vibrant city reidents and the last impression is the BIGGEST FLAG,as you leave Tehran to the AIRPORT,for me,the flag is a signature, and a sense of Patriotism, that is truly to be proud of saying, ""YES WE ARE IRANIANS"
Thank you for opening our eyes to this beautiful and dynamic country, Iran is on my list of countries to visit ❤
Very enjoyable video and thank you for not adding any music over the normal sounds of the street etc. 👍
I loved watching this video, thank you! Iran is one country I would love to visit.
Thank you so much for sharing this video, it is VERY nice to get a glimpse of Iran and it’s beautiful (just like I thought!). 😊❤
No home less people, no drug addict, no gun violence. Better than american cities. Iran is a beautiful country
I can show you places like that in the U.S. You only saw the best. Smh…
hahaha so you only see what the iranian Govt or other Govts want you to see. you are just as dumb and controlled as everyone else. There is a reason millions of people want to come to the USA and not your BS sand.
When they are not destroying their Jewish neighbors and enslaving other countries people to fight their proxy wars? Yeah apart from being sacks of human misery, they are nice enough right?
the video shows you the center and the rich part of Tehran, you should see the suburbs and the rest of the nation
One of the greatest nation of the world! Love from Turkiye!
😂
La ont parle de Téhéran pas d’Ankara ni d’Istanbul … 😂😂😂.. toujours à parler pour rien …
Thank you brother.. i have visited Istanbul, and i love how smart turkeya is by doing everything better than Arab golf countries for tourist attraction.. from high brand cloths being fraction of a cost along with Good food and nice vibes👏🏻👏🏻❤️🇹🇷
In fact, I never knew Iran was this beautiful and people are so simple. I encourage everyone to visit Iran and surely I will come there too.
A beautiful video it’s nice to see a sample of life in Iran people are much the same the world over fantastic cities and so clean and well looked after.
Much love from Mexico to Iran 🇲🇽 🇮🇷 🙏🏽

I work with an Iranian girl in England, shes absolutely lovely, respectful and with a caring soul, loves the English culture. Wish all people who came to England had her oulook on life and mindset.
I keep reading about how many on the left say that there is no such thing as English culture.
An amazing and interesting insight. Greetings from Scotland
That was fascinating and Very Educational! Thanks for a genuine and interesting look at Iran's main city and her people. Really well made doco.
Since I loved the game of Basketball, my thoughts are mainly focused on center Hamed Haddadi of Iran's men national Basketball team who became the FIBA Asia Cup champion in 2007, 2009 & 2013. May GOD bless the people of Iran.
What war?
@@bardhantube
We don’t know lol we literally just assumed it was like Afghanistan or Syria. US propaganda against the Middle East is insane
@@RightyAllrightyIm from the U.S and I agree, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are living in the year 2024, the U.S is a third world country now
No offense but you just weren’t educated: it’s a beautiful place and good people just under an evil dictatorship
The Iranian people are beautiful, kind and gracious. It's the government that is evil.
Evil are 95% of politicians corrupt demons
can you give us some examples of the evil the government commits ?
Iranians are indeed known for their warmth and hospitality. It's great to hear your positive experience with the people.

"It's the government that is evil." what has the iranian government done to you or to your country?
No trash, no graffiti, no drunks nor druggies, no gangs, no mental illness individuals attacking, and no gang’s looking to rob !!! Seems very nice, clean , and interesting! U.S.A. take notes !!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yea thats sadly changing due to westernization

But they also have respect for personal space.

It's called mutual respect.

I have travelled around the world many times. While I have not been to
Iran, I have been to many places westerners generally don’t go. I can honestly tell you I have never felt worried about my safety nor my wife’s safety. I have always been treated with kindness and respect. Yes there are places you should not go to but then you can say the same about many U.S. or European cities. My point is don’t rely on CNN to show you the world. Get out there and see it for yourself. There are many great adventures to discover and many new friends to make. There is more to life than Disneyland.
It's nice to see you enjoyed being in our country. ❤
It is not a safe place for a westerner.. look at the people held hostage over the years
Me ha sorprendido este video. Son imágenes y ambientes muy distintos a lo que en occidente nos enseñan sobre Irán.

I used to live there during Shah Pahlavi's reign. It's much more modern now. When I was there, there were no subways. The Peykan was the most prolific vehicle on Tehran streets. I remember, we went to the Grand Bazzar and my late mother had bought 2 samovars and a beautiful Persian rug...which I still have to this day.
5:10 Thanks for sharing! I had no idea there were places in Iran where people walk backwards wherever they go-that's really fascinating!

Stunning. I love these videos exposing more western lies. I’m a Christian and I would rather live in Tehran than London
The Iran regime itself have not denied the accusations of repressive measures against women. They supports that they observe their customs.

Why don't you go and try living as a Christian there ? Give it a try and see how happy you'll be....I'll give you this, western countries are becoming more like this, if you go to east London for example , you won't see any difference....same people, same dresses, same shops, same food...it makes you sad.....
