In general most of the weddings in Iran are like this (sometimes some of them have less food) . In my county it is really Important to show your family and relatives that you are wealthy. So many people wait to achieve a huge mony and then get married. Also the parents help them a lot to afford it. But we also have those traditional and family weddings but they are old fashion.
