Yup scent bird is a joke, they do not have huge collection of fragrances, so limit, and their price is way too expensive. I rather buy decants from local resellers 🙈
I don't see many people in public wearing headbands. However, I just started wearing them myself and I love them. The fabric ones with a twist at the top are my favorite because the point really slims down my wide face. I've never thought about sweet fragrances for winter. I usually defer to clean cotton, my favorite being Clean Reserve in Warm Cotton. But I will take this as a self challenge and try some of my sweeter fragrances this year. I'm guessing you're a first time mommy. My kids are 18 and 21. I'm sure you are inundated with advice from everyone around you about how to be a mom. But what I can say is that, in these early years, it's a lot easier to accept that your world has changed and go with that flow instead of trying to fight it. This is a temporary time for you and it will pass and I've learned that I'd rather look back and say I did my best for my child rather than trying to apologize to everyone around me for my mommy life. What I'm trying to say is, this time of your life belongs to you and your child and not everyone else. Hope that helps some 😊
I love the headbands, to me they look vintage-y and adorable 🥰🥰 As to gourmand fragrances, I do love eating sweet things, but I don't appreciate smelling like dessert, lol.
I think headbands are cute. I was bald from skin cancer surgery on my head; headbands cover most of my scar and they’re getting me through an awkward hair stage. I just found your channel a few days ago, and I’m a huge fan. ❤
I love maissa destin des anges,i just got it along with narcotica dulce diablo alittle similar one has orange the other a beautiful apricot with cacao.i love le petie robe noir intense, i mix it with vanilla 28 and always get compliments.❤️👌
Yes! I love Microperfumes. Their travel sprays are a good size and I get a good feel for a fragrance before I decide to invest in a full bottle. I was able to test Mojave Ghost and learn that nope, my skin didn't like it.
Microperfumes sells 10 ml for more than regular retail price 💀 try decant X, scent split, the fragrance decant boutique, scent decant and even max aroma. **sorry I meant they sell FIVE mL for more than the brands sell their own 10 mL, on quite a few of their scents. I did a whole ass comparison one day&realized what a joke some of their prices are.
@@hadesisbaby I'll check those out! They have sales all the time and I wait for a good one. I live in the same state as the company so shipping is super fast and the service is really good.
Yana, have you tried Rumeur by Lanvin? I can't understand it, I like it and I do not at the same time, would like to hear your opinion. The perfume is created by Francis Kurkdjan btw
I've been interested in trying it because it's by Francis Kurkdjian but something about the notes made me unsure. Maybe I'll blind buy it during the next sale
Yep!! I rejoined Scentbird, they charged me 27.81 5 times in one visit. These are horribly priced, and it’s 10.00 extra dollars for a better scent. The ones everyone has access to are all the old ones or ones I’ve never heard of. Just dropped them again after the first visit and 130.00 later! I’m pissed as well!!
Love your sweater Yana! I have been on fragrance hiatus for awhile because my nose needed a big break. Been dealing with headaches and bouts of vertigo. Right now I’m looking for something softer and invigorating scent that I can feel comfortable and happy to wear. I think I’m going through hormonal changes due to my peri menopausal time so I’ve gotten more sensitive to certain notes in the fragrances. I’m ok with my Chanel fragrances with no issues but the others I kinda shy away from. I do love clean fragrances brands that I think I need to start exploring more. I love wearing SALT and SWEET by Ellis Brooklyn but they are best worn for Spring and Summer. Not sure what to get for winter. I love Commodity and Henry Rose as well. I don’t want to wear what everyone is wearing lol
@@TheScented Love Rain. It’s very nice. I also love Rain from Clean Reserve and Jakes House from Henry Rose. They are all similar to each other. Now I can’t decide which one lol smh 🤦🏻♀️😂😂😂 Thanks Yana!
Girl I have long hair and no baby and I am in a headband most days.....or a braid. It's functional and I think it's looks beautiful. I ended up deciding on the Elixir flanker based on your recommendation and I couldn't be happier!!
Loved this video Yana. And I love headbands. I use the full circle ones as decoration for when I wear my cornrow braids. They don't give me a headache or earache like traditional headbands do. 😁😁
I got La Cautiva on your recommendation. I am obsessed!! It's incredible. I would love to hear if you have any other recommendations from this house. ❤️

The thing is.... you are beautiful! You can rock whatever you wear! I like headbands but they give me a headache. Thank you for your content! So fun learning about perfumes. xoxo
Scentbird continued to charge me monthly despite asking them multiple times to cancel my subscription. They even charged me and “prepared shipments” twice after apologizing in email and saying they canceled it. Like what?! That’s not acceptable.
And Scent Bird is definitely cuter for people very green to trying perfumes. I tried it for 3 months a few years ago and lost interest because I had way more access to free perfume samples with greater variety. And 2 out of 3 of the travel size spray perfumes I bought from them were fails.
I was debating between ScentBox and ScentBird, ended up going with ScentBox as they are a local small business in SoCal. They have a waaaay better selection. They did recently raise their prices a bit but it’s still much more affordable for the “premium” scents versus the “Saks collection” that ScentBird has. The $10 markup is ridiculous 😑
Scentbird used to have a great selection. I do not remember what made me switch to Scentbox, but I did. I have been a member for so long that I've tried all I want to. It was interesting running into this video today because just last night I decided to switch back because of this. I didn't go through with it. I never heard of so much of what they have now. Those really may be their best sellers because we've heard of those lol.
Love the braid! Thank you for sharing your lovely fragrance recommendations and your views on scent bird. I looked into their service a while back and it wasn’t for me, but it may be suitable for folks in more rural areas and less access to retail options. I’m happy to know you partner with people you feel comfortable with and don’t just go for anything that comes your way. You made me buy Armani Code Luna and Ioooooooooooove this! Such a great discovery for me. So underrated and sadly discontinued (lucky me to have found a truly well made dupe). I'm really considering to purchase a big bottle and make it my signature.. Thank you sooooo much!!
Just paused to say you should look into those “Velcro hair pads”. While they look a bit silly, you can get them on Amazon and they will hold your baby hairs out of your face without pulling or discomfort ❤ I wear them around my baby niece
Love the braid! Very Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider. Totally feel you about the baby pulling the hair! My youngest will be one on New Years Eve and that’s his FAVORITE pastime right now is eyeballing my hair and yanking it so hard he nearly pulls me to the floor 😂😂
I am so fed up with scent bird. They have the worst customer service ever. I’ve been getting double charged things missing from my order and they never respond to my emails. I am canceling and just sticking with Scentbox, much better selection, and great customer service

Hi Yana, it's been a long time I don't say hello. The things that you're feeling are totally normal. Life has changed now for you; you're a mom. Now it's all about practicality. We become a short fuse for stupidity (as in the Scentbird case), and we put our children and our comfort first (the whole thing about the hair in your face and how to keep it off from there and out of her reach). All of this is normal to a mommy. It's not the same anymore and I know you totally get what I'm saying. If the headbands make your life easier, wear them please. Us moms do everything from working in our jobs, running errands, doing chores at home and raising a baby (and being everything to your husband/partner). We do it all, so we do not have time for petty things, let alone hair that bothers us.
