  • Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! RUclips's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10. A car that needs no introduction! Enormous engine, looks that scream "here I come" manual transmission and 500 horsepower, gotta love it! During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
    FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RUclips!

    This is a proper sportscar: 2 seats, oil temp and pressure gauges, appropiate hood ventillation. No expensive things (which won't care when racing on the track) but comfortable enough to be a daily driver car.

      @wviampero 8 лет назад +16

      +1slow Also this is a car for the real drivers, no such shits as ABS, EDB, ESC or Supermega-tritronic-dual-assisted automated transmission. Just the stick shift and the driver's skills.

    The european ones didn't come with side-pipes because they are illegal in some countries ( for example here in germany, where I come from ). They had a four pipe outlet in the rear diffusor.
    I never understood why because some cars can have sidepipes ( Mercedes SLR ) , some don't...Strange

    Vipers do sound a bit strange....but that's because you're usually only hearing 5 cylinders when listening to just one side. They sound better in person...especially from the rear where you can hear both side exhausts at the same time.

    I think a dual clutch transmission is coming in the future for it as an option but I actually like that every one comes with a manual. Dual Clutch setups are the fastest shifting transmissions but a manual provides the most engaging driving experience with the car by far. That's what a lot of auto critics love about the Viper and the Corvette ZR1. Plus they are all raving about how much Chrysler improved the Viper's transmission as the shifting action is very precise and short.

    Well I'll be one of the first to not hate on this car! I love the Viper, it's a fantastic performer with menacing looks and amazing sound. The interior on these is cheaper but who buys a Viper for the interior? Seriously. I'm sick and tired of hearing the German car fans hating saying a BMW gets this amount of power out of a smaller V8. WHO CARES?! Completely different cars. The 2013 Viper will have 640 HP and the interior looks VASTLY improved. I can't wait til it comes out!

    you can always mention the MSRP it was set back in the day, it's something educational and worth knowing. I always mention it in my review videos of my lawn equipments, cars, and my collection
    But you don't need to mention what the dealer is listing it as now, we don't need to know that, you're not a salesman for that dealership.

    If cars were music, a Ferrari is electronic dance music, processed through many computer programs. It's never off tune, and it never misses a beat.
    The Viper is LIVE ROCK N' ROLL. Loud, intense, and incredibly exciting! It's something that you just don't get from computers!
    Don't get me wrong, I love both kinds of cars and music. But the rock n' roll Dodge Viper puts a bigger smile on my face than almost anything else in LIFE!!!

    Kyle, I would just like to say that when I was looking into buying my first car, I made sure to check if you did a review / indepth tour on it before I would even think about looking at it in person. I thank you for that. I would basically look for a few cars that I would consider, and then look at your review to see if it was what I really wanted. You are great at what you are doing and you should keep at it! Do u think u could put the prices of the individual cars that you are presenting too?

  • @IKhanNot

    While it doesn't make as much power as you'd expect 500HP is more than enough for this particular car. It's insanely hard to control going full tilt and it is raw as hell. You can always mod it for more HP though, a big engine like that will respond well to mods.

  • @mhtube01
    @mhtube01 11 лет назад

    Actually the V10 in this one IS 8.3L. Chrysler originally put an 8.0L in the original 92 Viper and just increased the power over time. 2003 was the first year for this complete redesign which also increased the bore of the engine to 8.3L, thus increasing power. Then in 2008 they introduced the 8.4L which drastically increased the HP to 600! They carried that engine over to the new 2013 model but made a bunch of tweaks to it so it red lines higher, revs much more freely, and now has 640 hp.

    sort of, "w" engines are divided into 4 rows where typically 2 per side are merged into a single cylinder head. a w16 is 4 rows of 4 where 2 banks on each side are merged and a w12 is 4 rows of 3 where 2 banks on each side are merged, very similar to the now discontinued VW vr6 engine. So each side is it's own "v" with a very narrow crank angle

    your totally correct. you know your stuff. and also look at the price tag. the LFA is more than $300,000, the M3, yeah its a little less, but to me the M3 doesnt have soul and it feels like its been made by Nerds at the M tuning company saying how can we get this around the Nurburgring. and the GT2 and all the other ones are purely for track. the viper has a sort of refined way of driving. it doesnt ride hard like the GT2 and the LFA. and it cost a hell of a lot less than alot of them.

Well if I was to shell out over $80k for a car, it BETTER have a sound system! It doesn't need to be fancy, but EVEN in a supercar, its good to have a radio for things like weather alerts (ya know like for a oh idk a TORNADO WARNING) or even to listen to something entertaining like Opie and Anthony to make the driving experience even better!!

    It's a common mistake to look at the peak hp output and not the powercurve. Where most small engines have to rev high to achieve some power, the Viper engine delivers it instantly. Not very useful in dragraces no, but very useful on the track.
    The ring times of the ACR (same engine but better suspension and lighter) tells it all.
