Hi everyone, I hope you enjoy this video as we take a look at the impeccable style of the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Do you remember the famous slip dress? Feel free to leave your thoughts or any comments down below. Thank you for watching.
Thank you Agnes for putting together this special video on Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s style and outfits. She was someone who I admired for her impeccable taste and style. She was a similar age to me and I found it inspiring to see how she always managed to look put together and stylish with simple, good quality pieces. Her wedding dress and the beautiful bouquet of lilies of the valley remain imprinted in my memory. As does the tragedy of her untimely death with her husband and sister. Lovely to see you back on RUclips ❤️
Hi Cristina, my pleasure. Looking back at her style while researching for this video was wonderful. Such a great reminder to keep it simple and not overcomplicate my outfits :) For some reason, I didn't notice your comment until today. So my apologies for not getting back to you sooner! Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 🌼
The 80s and 90s, when I was in my 20s and 30s, were different. We all wore our clothes and accessories over and over again and had a lot fewer of them. I was happy with 10 work outfits, so I only had to repeat them once per month (every two weeks). Clothing quality was far superior to today’s, the standard for suits, trousers, jackets, skirts and trousers was lightweight wool, no polyester in sight, linings were breathable rayon, or silk in better brands. I just can’t find that quality today.
I agree with you, I wish they would bring back those days, you got quality without breaking the bank. I think it all changed when they started making things in China. They didn't match our standards, it's a shame.
So true .. my mom still has some of her stuff from the 90s and those items are top notch! Wool/cashmere, leather coats etc. .. everything is so well made. A lot of todays high end items don’t even compare.
I saw Caroline at Greenwich train station. I'll always remember how beautiful and stunning she was. I was waiting to take train to NYC and all mens' heads turned to see this beauty. She looked demure and kind. She was wearing I'm sure a CK long black wool coat and that beautiful blonde hair. So iconic. Excellent video! And she had no makeup on
She wasn't kind , in fact, she was snotty and not nice to John. They fought often in public. But she did have great style, which this video is truly about.
Her aim was NOT to be a celebrity. Kim kartrashian, whose only goal is to be famous for being famous, tragically owns the watch Jackie Kennedy bought herself after she was widowed. Kk is also infamously wore and damaged Marilyn Monroe’s dress, and bought a cross worn by Princess Diana. Carolyn, say what else you will about her, was the opposite of the 2020s celebrity culture.
She was model height and build. I always tried to emulate looks on models and never looked the same! They can wear casual clothing and carry it. I’d look like a mess. She was 5’9’’.
Love her look, its a bit how i dress except i use more color in my wardrobe. She had more common sense in some areas of her life than John did. They should have moved a lot sooner and started a family somewhere a lot quieter.
CBK definitely birthed what we call, clean, chic, classy capsule wardrobe/style. Even today some might call it by many names, but her timeless style has been reproduced since the 1990s, like her MIL, in her time, Jackie Kennedy Onassis.
Yes! Absolutely. Both women brought something wonderful and unique to the table. Their styles were classy and elegant. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Recently, Sézane, a French high street brand, recreated some of the best-known paparazzi photos of John and Carolyn for inspiration. It all hold up perfectly today.
What a wonderful video. As a New Yorker, I remember so well the deep sadness surrounding the tragic, untimely deaths. Your observations regarding Carolyn's style are a refreshing reminder that classic, simple fashion is not difficult to achieve and never goes out of style. Thank you for a different and very welcomed post!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the nice comment. I lived in NY (my fav city in the world:) during that time and also felt the deep sadness that took over the city when the news broke. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts. 🤍

Only high quality pieces can be worn over and over. I have her Levi jeans (bootleg) that I have had for years. Maybe 30…When the skinny jeans became popular years ago, I was tempted to throw them out. I’m glad I didn’t. They are making a comeback and are always flattering. I’m wearing them again lol.
I loved Carolyn’s style and class. I always thought her wedding dress was simple elegance and so beautiful. Especially the setting & location of their event. I loved the pic of John kissing her hand . They looked so happy ! John was a knockout as well. Enjoyed this video ! 💕
Such a beautiful video, thank you. How refreshing to see someone who enjoyed wearing her pieces time and time again. we should all take heed, it would certainly make for a much simpler life.
Thank you so much Beverley! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s lovely to see the same piece of clothing more than once. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
Love the video . Carolyn was a natural beauty with a beautiful tall figure , she really knew who she was with the minimal way she wore less so beautiful thank for the memories of them
I love her style. She was amazingly beautifully simple. Almost spare. Nothing superfluous . My favorite… even better than Jackie… was going to say a little better than Audrey but I can’t quite go that far 😂 Thank you for the video 🌷
My pleasure. 😆😂 Each lady had something unique and wonderful to offer in terms of style. My feeling is that Audrey inspired both women to some degree. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts. 🤍
I think she would still be wearing the same style of clothing. This was slow fashion~timeless and beautiful. She had one well used handbag instead of a closet full. I should get rid of the bags that I don’t use. You should have a lot more subscribers. Your presentation is calm, well thought out and informative. I’m subscribed and I look forward to more videos.
I loved the 90s and I have still my 90s coats, they are still in mint condition because I looked after them and they still look fabulous and in fashion brcayse yes they are comfortable and classic for 2023.
Her wedding dress simply blew me away…it was so gorgeous on her! I personally love anything with a cowl neck or back and her tulle gloves along with her veil were just divine…stunning bride imo…such an unbelievable tragedy…so sad😢
What a wonderful tribute to a beautiful woman and amazingly handsome John F. Kennedy, Jr. I remember exactly when this tragedy happened. I still have the magazines that paid tribute to this couple. I started getting teary-eyed myself as you took me through this video. Looking at Carolyn's fashions was inspirational. I believe she would have not gravitated too much away from her styling. Simple, yet elegant! Thanks for this wonderful video. You styled yourself beautifully as well.
Thank you, Diane. It brought up some emotions for me as well while preparing for this video. They were both so young. I also think she would not have gravitated too much from her style. It seems like she had such a strong foundation regarding personal style. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!🌼
I was (still am) a bit awestruck by her. Her style was timeless and effortless. Many times over the years, I have wished to see her fashion today. I don't imagine much would have changed. She was regal, iconic. Wonderful video, thank you!
As some mentioned here, her hyper slender and tall figure helped her tons. She could wear a potato bag and look classy and elegant because of her figure. She didn’t need anything
She was an average looking girl, 20 pounds heavier mousey brown hair before she went after JFK. She bleached out her hair and lost 25pounds and became this self involved remake.
I've always compared the Character that was played by Gweneth Paltrow in "A Perfect Murder" with the same kind of Classic Dresser that Carolyn Bassette-Kennedy was! I have always gravitated to that kind of Style! I've never been the Ruffles & Bows type of Woman, nor have I been the Tee Shirt, Jeans & Boots type either! I have always wanted to have Classic Pieces even as a young girl!
@@HelloAgnes Gweneth Paltrow & Michael Douglas "A Perfect Murder"! Penthouse in NYC & all! It's a Great Movie! I Love it so much I've seen it at least 3-4 times over the Years! ENJOY!
Carolyn was 6ft tall and slender, she also had a small A cup bust. That's why she she looked great in that wedding gown. Her entire wardrobe of straight skirts, slacks, etc., could only be worn by a tall, slender woman. Ingrid Bergman and Jackie Kennedy had simple style also. Carolyn's long blonde hair was a big +.
She was 5’9” but with heels yes over 6 feet. Model body so yes everything looked great on her. Years ago, I had no idea she was that tall which explains why she could pull off those classic looks so well. Just like Jackie his mom. And yes, for processed hair, it was quite shiny and healthy looking. Probably professional blow outs. Its looked healthier than when she wore her natural hair color.
She worked for Calvin Klein. I’m sure that had an effect on her developing the minimalist aesthetic. Her mane of well kept blonde hair was her best accessory.
Yes it was the “light” on a dark canvas (the black tops). Was very striking and completely changed her look, although imo it made her look older. It reminded me of Daryl Hannahs hair. The blonde definitely had to be an expensive upkeep as well as the professional blow outs she probably had, seeing earlier photos of her hair texture (Keratin wasn’t available yet-or maybe she did get it when it was first coming out). Very shiny, bright hair.
Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy did indeed have that ultimate, timeless and chic style. A style which she must have picked up no doubt after working with Calvin Klein for many years. She was also a woman blessed with stunning features and that aquiline nose! So beautiful. She could have worn rags and still looked chic! Even though her clothes and style were simple, you can tell that she wore designer pieces that were high end and of quality, the Birkin bag, cashmeres, tweeds, suedes, etc. - pieces and fabrics that are difficult to imitate. Even though she wore few and simple pieces you can tell that her outfits (including accessories, boots/shoes) must have cost thousands of dollars.
Yes, simple clothing doesn’t mean inexpensive clothing. Thats an important factor. Most people could not afford what she wore to look that relaxed and well put together lol. Her coats were quite expensive. Prada was a favorite of hers and unattainable for most. Her shoes were also mostly Prada. I walked into Prada a couple of times and could not believe how expensive the clothing was. Her cashmere sweaters alone could have cost 2,000.00 each.
CBK was so beautiful and she was smart enough to know that simple stylish clothing complemented her effortless beauty rather than anything else she could wear. I miss her and JFK Jr. so much. The 90s we lost so many fashion/cultural icons - Jackie O, Princess Diana, Greta Garbo, Audrey Hepburn, Versace, Halston.
This is such a wonderful video. I have always loved her style which you have recreated beautifully using items from your own wardrobe in reflection. Thank you too for including multiple photos.
What a great job you did on this video. It’s so special. I remember that time and I too admired her style and grace. It was like she floated when she walked. Thank you for remembering her in such a beautiful way ❤🕊️
I know what I am going to say is not very polite, but her looks are incredibly beautiful because she is thin. If she was just a little bigger, her looks would be just ordinary at best. That kind of outfits are no for everyone. Me included. Another point: she was marrying a Kennedy. That creates a kind of “shock” between powerful rich people and simplicity. In a plain Jane marrying a plain John the effect would be completely other. Congratulations for the video. ❤
A bit of context: Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s minimalist look was pure Calvin Klein, the designer for whom she was working for a few years up to and including until the time of her death. This look was also pure Jackie O - the slacks and black turtlenecks, etc., something that was commented upon by those in the fashion press.
I found only a few photos in which she wore prints. There was a summer dress with flowers and a red coat, but the rest of her wardrobe was comprised of more neutral colors. I like my corduroy trousers as well:) I only have one pair, and they are very comfy. I can completely understand your enjoyment of them. Thank you for watching!
Even Carolyn's wedding bouquet was minimalistic, elegant, classic, and timeless. Everything about Carolyn Bissette's style was outstanding because it was clean, classic, and trim line.
Love your appreciation for Caroline Basset Kennedy’s style. You did a Fantastic job recreating these looks and have inspired me to do the same. You showed this look can work for anyone.
Thank you! I'm glad you got a bit of inspiration from the video. We can all enjoy a simpler style no matter what our body type. Thank you for watching.
I knew this would signal the calls for the nut job brigade...any way...You did a most excellent job! I look at her pictures on Pintrist and her style could easily transport through a time machine to wear today.
I loved pics of her and her style was impeccable! The movie “The Perfect Murder” came out in 1998 and the style the main character (played by Gwyneth Paltrow)had was very similar! I love the movie mostly for the style!
Her elegant yet comfortable style was a refreshing look after the big hair, loud clothes, of the 80's. I like your look too, it suits you. I think Calvin Klein spearheaded this minimalist look, put him on the map so to speak, I believe she worked for him? She had a great figure and the inborn confidence to pull it off. Nice that she used her favorite handbag, sunglasses, repeatedly. Her wedding gown was gorgeous.
Thank you Agnes - yours is the best representation of Carolyn's style for the 2020s I have seen. This 64 year old intends to put some of it into practice!
That was nicely done. You didn't include another of her looks, which for some reason is the one I always think of with her - just a simple white t-shirt peaking out from the top and bottom of a dark sweater. So casual, but chic.
Please could you feature more of CBK outfits, for example I was inspired by the knee-length coat and faux fur scarf worn so casually yet elegantly - another modern classic
Thank you for doing a classy video about Carolyn's style. I just watched another video put together by someone else and can't tell you how disgusted I was watching that one. You honored Carolyn in the best way! Amazing how keeping it simple is so classy and elegant! It makes the look accessible to so many.
That’s the best feeling! I also need to go through my closet and remove a few unnecessary items. It always helps me to get dressed a bit faster when I know exactly what’s in my closet by removing items I don’t really reach for that often. Thank you for watching.
What a lovely video. Your own recreations were beautiful too & very inspiring. I remember when Carolyn hit the scene (she's just a bit older than me) and how devastating when she died--I've refused to even look at a photo of her for more than a second since then, so watching this video was a turning point for me. I think her absolute consistency (neutrals always; prints never; minimal makeup) is what gives her that signature style. I try to do the same (It's hard; prints can be tempting!), so this was super inspiring for me. Thank you for taking the time to create this video.
Hi Roxane, my pleasure. I'm so happy to hear that the video was helpful. I often get tempted by prints too:) But I have learned to be more selective about which ones end up in my wardrobe. Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and for leaving me your kind comment. I appreciate it!🤍
She wore a leopard jacket, similar to Jackie’s and gifted it to John’s personal assistant bc she felt she was photographed din it too much and maybe it was too bold looking. You can see it if you google it. You can see her wearing it and then Annemarie. Annmarie was given a lot of Carolyns clothing by Carolyn.
I love that she carried Lilies of the Valley, my favorite flower, their fragrance is heavenly. We never get them here in the West, it’s too hot and dry.
I enjoyed your video & I liked how she looked clean & classy. I’ve read some of the comments & my response to the criticism is if everyone was to be put under a magnifying glass none of us would look very good especially the way act & spew some words that shouldn’t be spewed out of our mouths. They weren’t perfect by reports but they were young . But their are things that they did right too. Thank you again!
My pleasure. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for your wise words. Less judgment and more kindness would serve us all much better in this world. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts.
I’ve always been fascinated with Carolyn’s style. You did a fabulous job of recreating some of her iconic looks. I’ve wondered if she could carry off being so very minimal because of her beauty and model-thin figure. Regardless of the contrast in my hourglass shape and dedication to subtle makeup, you have inspired me to try recreating her style. I’m always most comfortable in unfussy clothing in neutral colors. Thank you!
What a beautiful video , a lovely reminder and tribute to this iconic woman , you did a lovely job putting this together ❤️❤️ so elegant and a timeless style, Carolyn would be pleased I’m sure
She has been my styleicon since the 90’s ( yes I’m that old.) its just now that I’ve been able to recreate that style for myself, 24 years after her death. Black, beige, and white are now my colours.
I agree everyone should read Carole Radziwell’s book, What Remains. It’s excellent. I bought a pair of Hush Puppy loafers because Carolyn said they were a must.
I loved Carolyn Bessette's sense of style. The beauty of understated elegance. She didn't appear to try too hard. Her style was subtle yet chic. Comfortable but impeccable. RIP JFK Jr., Carolyn and Lauren Bessette.
She was stunning and thank you for sharing the style of a person who is not with us but was a good example of what simplicity and timeless style really means
Caroline had some great coats which had a lot of style - more style than what she wore under them. At the dressy events, she looked underdressed next to John in his suits. Her style worked for her because of her age and her slender figure. For every day walking around NYC, her fashion was nice. Her wedding dress with the lily of the valley bouquet was beautiful on her.
not only is ur analysis of the minimalistic style of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy very inspiring, but I love the minimalistic furnishing - simple clean lines - perhaps u could do a vlog on minimalistic furniture and the designers and manufacturers😊😊
Thank you! I enjoy a midcentury style. The furniture is mainly from West Elm, and the lamp is from Jonathan Adler. Thank you for the video suggestion and for watching:)
There are many beautiful , famous , dark haired women who may appear tall in pics & movies , but are actually short / petite . They are beautifully styled - it is about clothing choices & tailoring to enhance the wearer . 💓
@@edennis8578Most striking blonds had mousy hair prior. Think of Michelle Pfeiffer, Farrah Fawcett, Sharon Stone, Heather Locklear to name a few. With their natural brown they wouldn’t have been hardly famous.
really true, Carolyn had a Style, which really suited her and was indeed very minimalistic, amazing for that time. Yes my fav combination for a couple of yrs now is beige and black. To see it on her in all the variations, but always stuck to her main colours, really nice! Yes and her wedding dress, as simple as it was beautiful, true avant- garde in style. I remember the day when their plane crashed, it was a shock! In Germany people were stunned like in the U.Sl. They were truly iconic and beautiful in and out!
I love her style and she is an inspiration for me, but I have absolutely different features than her and I guess the trick sits in the fact that she was tall, slender and her light colouring. I am using her outfit formulas as an inspiration to build looks that look good on my features. But yes, she is a godess :)
I think she was inspired by Jane Birken. Jane Birken dressed in simple white shirts, flare jeans, white t-shirts, long black coats and ofcourse, her Birkin bag which was designed to be a practical item for her daily needs.
The lady has a strong character, and elegant looks. As her mother. Admired by many around the world. Love how you’ve picked up about her outfits/accessories choice & how to put together. Simple on styles & classic colors- Chic, beautiful on everyone/ages. (my thought) I’m new to this channel, and v pleased with what’s offered😋Subscribed. Thank you for sharing. I lived in the city at the time of their death as well and the whole city felt somber. Gone too soon. Thank you for watching.
Her wedding dress simply blew me away…it was so gorgeous on her! I personally love anything with a cowl neck or back and her tulle gloves along with her veil were just divine…stunning bride imo…such an unbelievable tragedy…so sad😢
Totally agree. Yes...way too soon. Thank you for watching and for the sharing🤍
Man, we loved our khaki bottoms in the late 90s lol. Had brown corduroys even too. I really miss that time period.
They are having a comeback. I keep seeing corduroy pants everywhere. Thank you for watching.
This was a lovely video. Carolyn was timeless.
Thank you 😊
Thank you very much, Jenn. I'm happy you enjoyed my take on Carolyn's timeless style. Thank you for watching!🤍
Great video. The world's most iconic women all had a great sense of personal style and knew their colours and consistently stuck to their basics
Couldn't agree more! Thank you for watching.
I was (still am) a bit awestruck by her. Her style was timeless and effortless. Many times over the years, I have wished to see her fashion today. I don't imagine much would have changed. She was regal, iconic. Wonderful video, thank you!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I have feeling is she would stick with her classic and timeless looks. Thank you for watching.
Love this video! I always admired Carolyn's style as well as Jackie and Lee. Very classic and minimal.
Very Old Money!
Thank you so much. All three ladies had something unique to offer concerning style. Thank you for watching!
She was a beautiful woman. So chic! May she, her husband and sister rest in peace 😢
I haven’t seen the movie yet. You have peaked my interest. Thank you for the suggestion!
@@HelloAgnes Gweneth Paltrow & Michael Douglas "A Perfect Murder"! Penthouse in NYC & all! It's a Great Movie! I Love it so much I've seen it at least 3-4 times over the Years! ENJOY!
Gwyneth Paltrow has a similar body type. And hair color. Tall small chested, long legs. She also looks great in minimalistic clothing.
She must've had a great colorist, because she was not a natural blonde.
Yes. She wasn't a natural blonde, either. She was a brunette. She got zero attention until she went blonde.
And Ralph Lauren
She is a style icon that I have always looked to for inspiration. thanks for spotlighting her.
My pleasure. Thank you for watching!
I think she worked with Calvin Klein in the 1990's and she embodies that look. Her main accesory is not the bag or her clothes but her man.
He was handsome:)
Yes, I agree. I think it was more quality over quantity. Thank you for adding to the conversation.
LOVE this look! so classic! I am so tired of seeing people look sloppy, unkept, slobs. Bring back class!
Class what you talking about.beggining with a former President vulgar and criminal plus the kardashian.vulgarity to the the max.
I was taking about trump the raw exemple of vulgarity.
Loved her fashion style! Very elegant but simple not fussy. The definition of class.
She had a great sense of style and made everything look effortlessly chic. Thank you for sharing.
This is such a wonderful video. I have always loved her style which you have recreated beautifully using items from your own wardrobe in reflection. Thank you too for including multiple photos.
My pleasure. Thank you for watching and sharing you kind feedback. I really appreciate it. 🤍
What a great job you did on this video. It’s so special. I remember that time and I too admired her style and grace. It was like she floated when she walked. Thank you for remembering her in such a beautiful way ❤🕊️
My pleasure🤍 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for letting me know and for watching.
Carolyn was the look in the 90s. Very elegant and classy.
That beautiful old little church and a most beautiful couple.
It’s all so lovely 🤍 Thank you for watching.
Yep!
I wonder if she would have changed her designer/style in later years?
I completely agree! Thank you for adding to the conversation.
Loved her style, definitely timeless!
Well said:) Thank you for sharing and for watching.
Yes, I agree. She is timeless and classic. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts.
Her nature elgence and beautiful physique don't need clothes to make her standout. Love her styles. Thank you.
Yes, she definitely had that going for her as well. She was a beautiful women. Thank you for sharing and for watching 🤍
Yes, they definitely did need clothing to stand out. Quality, very expensive clothing!
I remember Carolyn and admire her beauty and style😉🌷💐
I loved pics of her and her style was impeccable! The movie “The Perfect Murder” came out in 1998 and the style the main character (played by Gwyneth Paltrow)had was very similar! I love the movie mostly for the style!
Oh that’s s wonderful. I haven’t seen it. Will have to check it out. Thank you for the recommendation. 🤍
Ive always thought back to that movie too after all these years of how Gwyneth Paltrow's character dressed. Loved her hair also.
Great style . I remember her style so simple yet classic
I love her style and thank you for your respectful way of presenting her story and her elegance.
My pleasure. Thank you for watching.
How wonderful that you got to see her. I also lived in the city during that time but never got to see them. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Agnes - yours is the best representation of Carolyn's style for the 2020s I have seen. This 64 year old intends to put some of it into practice!
Thank you so much Fiona! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful. Thank you for letting me know and for watching!🤍
I loved her classic minimalist style it reminds me of how many french women dress.
Yes! classic and timeless.
I really enjoyed watching this. I have always loved Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s style.
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching and letting me know🤍
That was nicely done. You didn't include another of her looks, which for some reason is the one I always think of with her - just a simple white t-shirt peaking out from the top and bottom of a dark sweater. So casual, but chic.
Ah yes! That is a simple but chic look. Thank you for watching.
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it!🤍
When she said here comes Carolyn in her slip dress, I wanted to cheer. It’s a reminder to be brave with your style and beauty.
I have a very small closet since moving recently. It has caused me to downsize my wardrobe drastically - and it has been so freeing!!!
That’s the best feeling! I also need to go through my closet and remove a few unnecessary items. It always helps me to get dressed a bit faster when I know exactly what’s in my closet by removing items I don’t really reach for that often. Thank you for watching.
@@HelloAgnes ❤
I absolutely loved her style then and even more now
Me too:) Thank you for watching.
I’ve only just watched this video and it brought tears to my eyes…such a beautiful woman who died far too young.
I love that she carried Lilies of the Valley, my favorite flower, their fragrance is heavenly. We never get them here in the West, it’s too hot and dry.
It was so lovely. Simple and beautiful.
Excellently done! Thank you for a lovely, elegant video and with well-researched content. You honoured Carolyn with grace.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate the kind comment. 🤍
You look very nice in your clothes. Also classy!
Thank you so much!:)
Thank you!
Thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that you got a bit of inspiration from the video. Thank you for watching and for your sharing:)
A lovely tribute.
Thank you! 🤍
What a beautiful video , a lovely reminder and tribute to this iconic woman , you did a lovely job putting this together ❤️❤️ so elegant and a timeless style, Carolyn would be pleased I’m sure
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the sweet comment🤍💕 Thank you for watching.
She has been my styleicon since the 90’s ( yes I’m that old.) its just now that I’ve been able to recreate that style for myself, 24 years after her death. Black, beige, and white are now my colours.
That’s so wonderful. Her simple style is a great reminder that less is often more. I also love that color combination. Thank you for sharing!
Loved her style. Thank you . Ignore the idiotic comments just jealous. Great job .
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support:) Thank you for watching.
I agree everyone should read Carole Radziwell’s book, What Remains. It’s excellent. I bought a pair of Hush Puppy loafers because Carolyn said they were a must.
It’s a great book! I didn’t realize she wore Hush Puppy loafers! Thank you for sharing🤍
I loved Carolyn Bessette's sense of style. The beauty of understated elegance. She didn't appear to try too hard. Her style was subtle yet chic.
Comfortable but impeccable. RIP JFK Jr., Carolyn and Lauren Bessette.
I totally agree. Her style doesn't look at all dated today. Ditto for Princess Catherine of Wales. They are the epitome of elegance and style.
Um, no.
I LOVE Princess Diana's EARLY clothing- oh, so ME! SO PERFECTLY feminine and lovely! Kimberly
She was stunning and thank you for sharing the style of a person who is not with us but was a good example of what simplicity and timeless style really means
My pleasure. It was wonderful to look back and see the outfits again. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
The best is yet to come! ❤️💜❤️🙏🌏
This video is such delight Agnes! keep it coming!
Thank you so much! 😊 I appreciate the sweet support. Thank you for watching 💓
Yes! Her coat collection was also timeless and classic. The bouquet was perfect, so delicate. Thank you for watching.
not only is ur analysis of the minimalistic style of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy very inspiring, but I love the minimalistic furnishing - simple clean lines - perhaps u could do a vlog on minimalistic furniture and the designers and manufacturers😊😊
Thank you! I enjoy a midcentury style. The furniture is mainly from West Elm, and the lamp is from Jonathan Adler. Thank you for the video suggestion and for watching:)
@@HelloAgnes Thank you for the reference!- love the style - simple but beautiful in it's own right
Omg she always looked perfect
Thank you for watching!
Her natural assets being tall, very thin with long blonde hair certainly helped. Someone with dark hair and short wouldn't get the same reaction.
There are many beautiful , famous , dark haired women who may appear tall in pics & movies , but are actually short / petite . They are beautifully styled - it is about clothing choices & tailoring to enhance the wearer . 💓
You are correct. Carolyn was a brunette by nature; she got no attention at all until she went blonde.
@@cynthiajohnston424 The truth is that Carolyn was brunette. She went blonde because she wasn't getting noticed as a brunette.
John's mother also wore very simple lines...many pictures of her walking around NYC in her black top...
My style icon. A lovely tribute to Carolyn. An unimaginable tragedy.
And You look amazing!
Thank you! so much! I appreciate the positivity. 🤍
The lady has a strong character, and elegant looks. As her mother.
Admired by many around the world.
Love how you’ve picked up about her outfits/accessories choice & how to put together.
Simple on styles & classic colors-
Chic, beautiful on everyone/ages. (my thought)

Her main accessory was John-john
I have always admired her style which always appears easy and comfortable. Thank you for bringing this to us. 🫶🏼
My pleasure. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! 🤍
I would have never thought about her in regards to style, so thank you for the inspiration. She has great style and is right up my alley.
My pleasure! I'm glad you got a bit of style inspo from the video. Thank you for letting me know and for watching🤍
Thank you so much for the video, she had an iconic style, the simplicity and elegance went hand in hand. Absolutly love it😍
You're so welcome! I'm also a fan of her simple and elegant style:) Thank you so much for watching.🤍
