Don't get me wrong, it's not a depression, it's more like feeling an emptiness in the life. At the end of the day, we are all alone and no one really cares about our existence. I wish one day I will find more joy in my life, rather than temporary happiness, mixed with responsibilities and broken heart. Thank you for this masterpiece of unspeakable acting of Ryan Gosling.
Bro you're literally me. It's not depression, it's a feeling of hollowness that resides within you despite having everything one can desire for. It's all seems pointless, you have money, you have family and friends that care for you, you have a well paying job and a nice personality but still sth inside isnt satisfied one bit. It's our emotional thirst that needs quenching but we're off chasing after things that add nothing but an urge for more. Call it existential crisis or whatever but it sure as hell is extremely vexatious. Knowing that you are waking up not excited about what life has to offer anymore.

I feel sad all the mans out there, we are suffering to create a family to live the legacy. Thats our life no matter what, and if its not, you a shit in the eye of society. Love this Gosling "community" Keep up.
I think part of it is a culture / zeitgeist of entitlement and taking things for granted. People don't appreciate each other and their contributions, especially that of men. I see it everywhere that men jump into the meatgrinder to provide for their loved ones, and almost always they are lucky if what they get is apathy and indifference, because usually it is nagging and "why can't you provide more"?
I wonder how to put Gosling's mood into words. There is something magnetic and fascinating in his spontaneous acting. Although he act indifferently, I hear the echo of his inner world. Indeed, his roaming silences are explicative as a speech. His characters have so many words to say that they are overwhelmed and paralyzed . I can't tell if he is acting or if this kind of characters fits perfectly his personality.
For me, it's the driver arriving home just to head out and aimlessly drive in the night again, and Luke driving near the woods after "must get lonely".
I think everyone feeling this kind of desolate loneliness is valid for relating to the emotions portrayed by the actor. Sure, he's just _acting_ in this way, but it's a clear emotion. Not quite sadness, not quite depression, not quite loneliness, not quite focus, not quite thoughtfulness. Maybe some combination of the bunch. Been feeling a lot of this myself lately. It's not an entirely male feeling, either. It's a genderless emotion. It's an emptiness, devoid of meaning or sense. Unapologetic, like the vacuum of space, and just as cold. I could sit here and write this edgelord poetry all day, honestly...and it still probably wouldn't make me feel any better. Edit: I come back to this video every so often, and recently I see a lot of the people saying "cringe, imagine thinking you can in any way relate to a fictional character/movie star" and it's kind of disheartening, as it shows a lack of self-awareness from a shocking amount of people. Let me explain. If you are feeling second-hand embarrassment (aka "cringe") then you're guilty of the exact same thing as the comments you're calling out. Both of you are accessing empathy to put yourself in someone else's shoes and relate it to your own experiences, that's why you feel that second-hand embarrassment, that's why people relate to art. How about we all agree to try not to be hypocrites in the future and accept that empathy is important for interpreting and enjoying art (in all its forms) _as well_ as for interacting with other humans in a real-life and virtual sense, and that we all have different ways of dealing with our problems and emotions, so don't make fun of other people for doing it differently from you.
it is ironic, that Gosling being a nice and cool man irl, has gifted us with 'literally my' icons, that we feel so relatable. thank you, Gosling, despite you being unaware of who we are and why we praise you, we still love you.
Ryan Gosling is actually a literally me in a few ways that are quite crazy. First my name is Ryan. First time I saw him was in the Notebook on my first date with my first love. We ended up having a relationship that resembled the love couple of the movie.. reconnecting years later.. but she died (It's hard to talk about but that's a real story). On top of that a lot of his Characters either play in Places I grew up in or ways of living very similar to mine. In The Place Beyond the Pines the locations are very near to where I was Born and spent parts of my Childhood & Adult years. I once broke my right hand punching a Concrete Staircase out of Anger on my front porch, right in front of my American Flag in argument. While I was in the Cast & suffering from Drug related issues I watched a Movie he did where he fucked up his right hand & kept clenching it like I did, all the while it had a Patriotic theme to it. I was going through a lot at that time. Ryan is like a weird Mirror of myself it's kinda nuts & that's just surface level shit I shared. To wrap this up, I'm no Incel or anything lol, just someone who actually has these really weird ties to Ryan Goslings Film performances over the years. I am good looking, and have actually lost count of my body count, not bragging just saying this isn't a I wish I was him thing.. literally I am Ryan Gosling in a lot of ways.. at least what we see on Screen. My personality is a lot like him too. I come off Stern but I open up the more you get to know me. Life is strange, and no matter what happens to me I can say I have lead an extraordinary life. Now I just need to meet my version of Eva Mendes settle down with a few kids lmao. Thought I would share, I normally don't but even it was just for myself typing this out felt therapeutic in some weird way haha... alright peace.
I know mostly it's men who relate to these two Ryan characters but as a woman I'm living this feeling. You're drawn to the aloneness of his character. Doing your duty, but also unsettled by it.
lmao w*men cant relate to the loneliness and solitude that gosling transmits, you semen demons can have sex and love any time you want with any guy you wish, we dont
Didn’t feel like acting felt like realistic day to day loneliness and being lost but trying your best to stay focused and find your place b/c theres not really an alternative, and the frustration and exhaustion that comes with that. Like another dude in the comments said young men like us can relate quite easily
The saddest thing about the newest blade runner was that unlike the first we’re the synthetic humans was emotionally sub human in a way but the current one explains how their absolutely no different then every other human being but are put through inhuman circumstances with the idea that they know nothing or expect nothing better
Reading a lot of these comments made me really sad. I'm sorry a lot of you are going through the pain that you do. I struggle with borderline personality disorder and it's ruined a lot of relationships and friendships in my life. The pain and loneliness I feel because of it every day is unbearable. But I find comfort in knowing that there are others out there who know how it feels to be in pain. We got this everyone
I can't promise to you if your life will be any better. But there are people who understands you and can relate to you. Stay strong brother, work hard so one day you may be happy, at least for a short moment. Try to keep it positive

We are all empty inside brother but don't fear, Gosling will fill that hole in ourselves
Anhedonia mixed with apathy, that's how I would call it.
You well said my dude 😔
I do think it's more prevalent on young males, tho.
Beautiful words
On all levels except physical, I am a literal Ryan gosling
i can totally see myself in him 💔😭
🤨
No lol
💀.. just nod and smile everyone
☺️🍎
boy…. 🤨📸
it is ironic, that Gosling being a nice and cool man irl, has gifted us with 'literally my' icons, that we feel so relatable. thank you, Gosling, despite you being unaware of who we are and why we praise you, we still love you.
Ryan Gosling is the best driving actor.

It feels nice to hear Dido again
maybe we r all ryan gosling
Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed reading this
ahaha I'm so out of touch I can't tell if this is a copypasta or not
he are living this movies
I know mostly it's men who relate to these two Ryan characters but as a woman I'm living this feeling. You're drawn to the aloneness of his character. Doing your duty, but also unsettled by it.
lmao w*men cant relate to the loneliness and solitude that gosling transmits, you semen demons can have sex and love any time you want with any guy you wish, we dont
Same
Yeah, honestly, you tend to feel more alone because of that.
Get out, woman.
He looks like if sad was a person
Didn’t feel like acting felt like realistic day to day loneliness and being lost but trying your best to stay focused and find your place b/c theres not really an alternative, and the frustration and exhaustion that comes with that. Like another dude in the comments said young men like us can relate quite easily
He’s figuratively me
The saddest thing about the newest blade runner was that unlike the first we’re the synthetic humans was emotionally sub human in a way but the current one explains how their absolutely no different then every other human being but are put through inhuman circumstances with the idea that they know nothing or expect nothing better
We got this everyone
it is tough
Don't be like this Ryan gosling, be like the one from Barbie
@@jj_see_film 😂😭Lmao
I was like that too, then I embraced Jesus Christ. Go pray. I will pray for you.
don't let societal ideals distract you from how amazing it is to simply exist in this universe.
I can't promise to you if your life will be any better. But there are people who understands you and can relate to you. Stay strong brother, work hard so one day you may be happy, at least for a short moment. Try to keep it positive
We need Reynolds and gosling in the same movie With Ryan being funny and extrovert while Ryan is and outcast and loner and boom watch box office explode
Jesus Christ, the world couldn’t handle that.
The place beyond the pines is criminally underated y'all
I've decided to watch all of Ryan Goslings movies back to back. I will either emerge from this crucible a God or suicidal.
i'm just tired that's all
Its weird, because in movies he feels so real and then u see him in interviews he's upbeat and almost bubbly.

Тихо и хочется спать.
