What ring needs to do is focus on the 2020 door release fixed their battery problems mine will not charge when it's -3 in cold weather I even have a 24v charger completely incompetent won't charge have to constantly take it out and charge inside the house!
Love this item sooo much!!! I have installed this for my apartment, it works so great, charging the doorbell and the most important NO NEED FOR DRILLING
I noticed that my Ring Doorbell Wired with this mount was offline before going to bed on the same day I installed it. I just ordered these new, within the past few days. I went to check on it and it was completely off. The device and the 24v pack on the mount were hot to the touch. I unplugged it and didn't find any info on the issue aside from making sure it's not in direct hot summer sun, etc. It was not. I installed around 7-8pm. Any ideas?
@lifehackster Is there a housing/bracket made out of metal for theft protection on the Eufy 2k doorbell? If so, can you recommend one? I can drill holes if needed
Great video, why is it important for the mount to use on a door that open inward? I have a storm door which opens outward, this door is never used but I can't find any info on why it is important for the door to open inward. Can anyone answer this question minus the inside joke please.
I've often read that lithium based batteries are best kept between 30 or 40% to 80 or 90% charged and should be cycled between the lows/highs periodically to minimize battery degradation over time. Out of curiosity, does Ring battery powered doorbells that are constantly plugged in do this periodically on its own? I'm guessing no and it's probably best to let it run entirely on battery periodically, right?
When it is constantly plugged in, No..it will keep it close to 100% charge all the time. I have cameras hooked up to a solar panel and I haven’t had issues with battery failure yet.
@@LifeHackster I'm guessing it might also partly explain the 14 hour charging between 84% to 95% you mention at the 5:40 mark in this video. If I'm not mistaken, most modern charging systems are programmed to trickle once it reaches 80 or 90%, which the Ring doorbell itself might be doing in terms of drawing power from the charger. For future tests, would you please try charging from, say, 30 or 40% to see if there's a difference? The only scenario (that I can think) you would test this for are for people who experience frequent power outages, I suppose.
nice idea, should be very handy for people who are renting houses or apartments, only problem in my situation would be, door thickness, and long power cable because my power socket is far from my house door. anyways.. once again thanks so much for your review. CIAO
Hello, I'm happy to answer your questions! First of all, the rechargeable function is effective, you need to install it according to the instructions; Secondly, this uses a cable charging, which can continuously charge your doorbell; If it is a solar panel in winter, the energy is very limited, of course, if your solar panel output port is Micro or Type C end can be directly plugged into the bracket; But the problem is, the solar panel is outdoors, and the bracket The charging port in the door, the above suggestions are for reference only, thank you!
@@olaiketv1261 I just purchased the video door mount for my ring pro 2. Can you purchase an additional white power cord because the black one sticks out. And can you send me the link and thanks
@lifehackster I purchased the ring doorbell 2nd gen from Amazon prime w/ the doorbell boa so far I love both. Can u use the ring solar charger w/ the boa? I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere! I’m upstairs & thinking I could mount to the rail somehow in front of apartment? Please help! Lol 🙏🏼
Great product with both anti-thief and chargeable functions, super convenient.😆
I got one too and tips: Read the product description and instructions carefully or you will purchase the wrong model.
Doesn't exist on Amazon anymore can you please make a new video on the best boa mount that's in stock for ring 4 battery version

True.

It’s it any no screw anti theft doorbell for outward swinging door
To bad cause my metal apartment door opens outward 😢
very cool and can be very useful just to try to mount the doorbell in different places..
Great mount for wired doorbells as I always opt for the wired version if I have the choice of both.
Looks neat but it seems to be a design oversight to have the power plug in on the top
If your door opens the other direction, it'll be on the bottom
The metal bracket is suitable for left or right door, so it will appear upside down, no matter how, it does not affect the use.
Seems like a very good product.
If you have a screen door with a frame, you're screwed.
Do you have a video on how to install the non wired version
@lifehackster Is there a housing/bracket made out of metal for theft protection on the Eufy 2k doorbell? If so, can you recommend one? I can drill holes if needed
The doorbell BOA can fit the eufy doorbells except for their dual models.

What about a door mount that works with the dual camera E340. It has a camera on the bottom too which most door mounts block
I’m looking for one for a door that swing out ward is there one that swing out ward
Will this fit the ring peephole camera?
So, if you have an outward door, this will not work. Do you have outward mounts for the Ring?
would this work on a double door (the other side door is seldom opened except when getting something big like furniture).

Doors Thickness: 1.0-2.5in/(25mm - 65mm); Doors Gap : Over 0.06in/(1.6mm). And with 16ft long power cable❤
thank you so much for your video!
You are so welcome!
Why don’t have so for eufy😢?
Great review as usual, LH. I am wondering if the rechargeable function will work but using a solar panel instead? does that make sense? Cheers ...

You go so fast that it’s difficult using this as a tutorial
Can you do a compare with Reolink new doorbell against Nest hello? Would be really nice. Night mode is important.
Yes
Question ❓ would that work in apartment.
I can say it is designed for apartment and rental one since it has no required for drilling, thats pretty awesome!!!
Definitely.
