    she is awesome! specially when talking about being less evaluative about others' behavior so we may fully experiencing inter-personal interaction and deeper relationship.

      I believe mindfulness is an outwardly active form of meditation.
      You're talking about the inward form of meditation, which helps to clear the subconscious gunk out of our heads, so that later,we can think more clearly and be more mindful in the outer world.

      @@charlesjoseph7505 You don't have to prepare. The capacity for being mindful is already available to everyone. Meditation is a formal practice, it can change your brain in beneficial ways, and is a way of practicing paying attention to your sensations, thoughts, etc., but Ellen isn't talking about mindfulness meditation, but about mindfulness alone - the act of actively paying attention to new things. One doesn't need to meditate in order to be mindful.
