Girl, You did right for keeping the clip in! In the military I had this problem all the time. YES! it’s always the old crusty men tryna see if they can get the attention of a young woman. Great job ignoring him however, a more effective approach is to address them because most of them love feeling like they have they power to chastise you. For instance I had to verbally let them know that I was not interested in having any communication that didn’t involve direct work issues and if continued I would report them for harassment.
Thank you sm for sharing this🤍. I didn’t even think to do that but I agree that’s definitely the best approach in a work environment! I’ll admit it’s hard to do that as a student but I will keep that in mind👏🏽

Definitely glad you get the clip in! It is important to call out that behavior and also to help other women not to feel alone or like they should keep quiet. Glad you can finally get away from that person, hopefully you don’t have to see them again!

I was told to smile more during my family med rotation while presenting patients because apparently I looked too "serious" and that could scare patients. But here's the thing Doctor ma'am, I *do* smile when I'm with the patient, why exactly do I have to keep a smile plastered on my face *as I'm presenting* in front of colleagues and doctors??? Because I'm a woman? It's so frustrating. I'm glad you addressed this.

Someone in my English class sent me this video and was like “you look like her” 😂 I was going off on him (you’re cute by the way) but then I started looking through your window and was like “why she drive pass my mom house” 😅😅. HEY 👋🏻 Philly girl !! I had to subscribe because I’m in my medical path way now and will definitely be using RUclips for my emotional support. (Oh, and the 12:12 statement you brung up is true) I’m a black girl and I get that all the time. I literally be chillin and the “Europeans/ spaniards” would be bothered by that.

Did your school do it differently, where you have to do dedicated while doing rotations? Or you chose it
We each choose our 4th year schedule but I was forced to move my ICU to my first month of 4th year which is when I originally planned to do dedicated. I explained it further in some of the dedicated diaries vlogs!
btw you're not being aggressive at all! Like a lot of people LOVE to respond with that when Black women within professional spaces show any sort of autonomy or a sense of self
