- Hey y'all, thanks for tuning in. While I don't have a big ol' game room with thousands of games, my collection is what I consider humble yet meaningful. I'm probably gonna change things up soon so stay tuned for more! We'll call this the game room tour 2023 edition.

Thanks for hanging out :)
Great game room that doesn't go over the top! I love that your collection isn't just a mass of games that you will never play. I've tried to start dwindling down my collection once I got to about 300 games. I realized I would never play a lot of them but it's still hard to get rid of some of them. Often times I will set several aside to get rid of but I'll wait until my local store has a higher priced game I really want and trade in the stack to reduce the hit for me. Another problem I have is some of my favorite game series have 5-10 games in the series so the collection builds up quickly with those in there! Sorry for the rant, I just love talking games!
I definitely feel that, I’ve intentionally stopped buying so many games until I can play through them quicker than I can buy them haha
@@JohnGamesOfficial That's the never ending battle of being a gamer/collector. I struggle with it because I love playing both new and retro games so it's a constant balance between "do I want this new game or should I pick up this retro game that just popped up locally?"

I have not done a game room tour since 2019. Presently, it is a mess but I really don't care. It's homey and it's as if Im a little kid (48 years old presently). It's a small game room and I have to use every space available and cut out unnecessary items away like using Retro Trio console (nes, snes, genesis) instead of by along NES, SNES, and Genesis. I have also put in a gaming pc as well.
If you have limited space, look up gameroom tour that emphasize on small game room instead of giant size living room tour. The small room game tour will give you more ideas than huge game room.
I give you a few ideas.
Controllers. Gaming controllers will be a handful. Use a pantry or shoe racks and hang it on the door. It can hold more than 50 controllers and handguns.
Use mutlipurposes consoles like mentioned above. It will limit the wires connecting to the TV. Instead of using both ps1 and ps2, just use ps2 instead because it can play ps1 as well.
The number 1 enemy of a console is dust and debris. Get a glass stereo cabinet with back opening. Usually put cartridge consoles on the bottom and disc base game with fan on top.
These are awesome recommendations, thank you! As long as you’re happy with your game room that’s all that matters 😁

Wonderful game room. I love the Nintendo GameCube It has many wonderful games like the Mario Party games. Thanks for sharing. Cool video. ^_^
Thank you!!! The GameCube helped define my childhood for sure😁
@@JohnGamesOfficial You're welcome. ^_^
Cool setup ❤
Thank you!!
Love it! Do you play modern games?
I do! Only on PC though
I agree, my setup is very similar to yours. I play retro games and modern games on PC. I didn’t buy a PS5 because all their exclusives are coming to PC.
@@chchris25 I only play modern games for the social aspect with my longtime friends, my alone time is the retro/older games :)
i stop being a sucker for playing retro games on original hardware i just hang my up in the shelf behind me i just emulate them on pc ps1 ps2 ps3 psp ps vita nes snes n64 game cube wii wii u switch 3ds ds games i can emulate my gaming pc is a emulation machine and modern and fighters . for rpgs i use a ps4 or ps3 or ps5 for ps3 emulation it depends not all games work 100% yet
Totally fair! Personally I like the hobby of looking for em, and the nostalgia of using the systems but there nothing wrong with emulating!
Where's your desk?? Why is everything on the floor? I'm new here, so please be kind 😉😂
Imma be honest bro idk what you’re asking - the desk is right there 😭
@@JohnGamesOfficial I hear ya! 👍😄
What type of wall shelves do u have and what inch are they
I built those myself! Got wood from Lowe’s and brackets on Amazon, painted them etc.
I believe they’re an inch and a quarter thick, and 8in deep
@@JohnGamesOfficial what is the length
@@Casuallycollecting 8ft!
@@JohnGamesOfficial I am sorry I meant width
@@Casuallycollecting they’re 8ft x 8in x 1.25in
