- May 8 | Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, delivers an opening statement at a Budget Committee hearing entitled, “Reducing Paperwork, Cutting Costs: Alleviating Administrative Burdens in Health Care.”

Its not complicated. Corporations are not people.
Your irony with respect to senator Grassley is, as we would say in Maine, “wicked diplomatic.” A local hospital administrator recently announced with great pride that their hospital had over 200 people employed managing insurance claim paperwork
Whitehouse makes common sense look easy. Only a part of why he is the BEST!!!
Your irony with respect to senator Grassly is, as we would say in Maine, “wicked diplomatic.”
This is why Medicare for all is a priority. Privatized insurance companies are notoriously thieves. Medicare has oversight of costs and standardized administrative forms that most healthcare providers are accustomed to.
I'm getting 895 a mo to live on cause of medical deductions !
Horrible because of these greedy ass government workers who don't give AF about the American people
1. Universal healthcare - Healthcare is a right not a privilege. 2. Get rid of Medicare Advantage -- It is neither Medicare, nor gives advantage. 3. Publicly fund medical schools and nursing schools 4. Legislate price controls on pharmaceuticals (No higher than they charge other countries) and ability to negotiate prices even lower
MAGA just cancelled cancer research to spit Biden so now millions will die like Trump under Covid
All great points!
M4A could cure hoarding.
There was a lot of screaming about "death panels" with the ACA. How is what the insurance companies are doing different from death panels? For profit, not for efficient use of resources.
Detailed
Thank u Senator 🙏 please have Jim Jordan investigated

went to urgent care for severe poison ivy reaction. Husband's work Insurance automatically denied claim because they "thought" I was covered by another insurance. They didn't even ask. Wasn't much, a few hundred dollars, but very annoying and time consuming to find out why and get them to pay.
Is this a committee meeting with three senators?
Prior authorization has been a danger to me and family members. Your addressing the barrier created and ignoring of the professionals knowledge rather than actuary's perspective.
Finial
another thing is: The 'middleman' is a set of companies making huge profits from drug prices. They're called pharmacy benefit managers, or PBMs. these need to go.

The over all 😊
