He is also the only justice to hide the fact that his wife tried to overthrow the government. How many crimes must this man commit before he's held accountable?

Yes . Mr Thomas could not ever convince me he did not know what his wife was doing . And she could never convince me that Clarence did not know , and make sure she had the money to help with trumps coup . Senator Whitehouse and senator Warren are trying to unravel the right wing dark money and the JCN.
The federalist society is really the judicial crisis network. In 2014 Mitch McConnell blocked every judicial appt Obama nominated and bragged about how he ruined Obama's presidency.
In '17 in comes Trump. And now DT and Moscow Mitch put no less than 200 judges on the courts. MM rammed ACB's nomination to the SC less than a month before the election.
This is where the JCN comes in. The Severino's and especially Leonard Leo played a HUGE part in getting these right wingers in the courts.
And now we have a corrupt SC who are ideologues more than anything. I'll bet there's at least one more republican like uncle Clarence.

Without politics, bribery, coercion, plea deals or any of this other crap involved. WTF happened to decency? What is the incentive for regular people to abide by the law when our legislators, prosecutors and judges violate the laws freely. All while they “ do the important work of deciding” whether grade school children should be able to change their gender. (Grade schoolchildren can’t decide whether or not to change their underwear, they should NOT be given a choice to permanently mutilate and sterilize their bodies) The loonies have taken over the asylum.

There already is part of the constitution that gives the senate impeachment power over a Supreme Court justice but with such stringent requirements to convict (a bare house majority and a 2/3rds senate majority voting to convict) it’s a truly amazing circumstance that in 234 years we had had only 2 supremes impeached but none convicted.

From what I have seen in the good reporting we get from certain newsgroups, Merrick Garland is a spineless Trump supporter and finds ways to get out of making decisions to investigate or prosecute. It kind of makes me wonder what Trump has on all of these people in power and why are they afraid to step on his toes or even speak up. Garland is not going to investigate anything he's playing around with the drug war today in the news and it is well known that if we can stop a country from warring with another country, United States can for sure war on the drug cartel and stop it. So I think Merrick Garland is biding his time until he can retire and being very low-key and don't want to offend anyone and of course he might be in fear for his life because Trump is a mafia and they are well known for taking people out.

Impeachment of a Supreme Court Judge works in similar fashion to the impeachment of a President. The House has to draft the articles of impeachment and vote to impeach and then the Senate would decide if he was removed or not. The problem is the House is controlled by the Republicans so they are never going to launch an impeachment vote against Thomas so the Dems hands are tied on this with out assistance from Republicans. Until Democrats have enough control in the senate and house to do it with out republicans help it's not going to happen. The only hope is that it appears he has broken federal law so the Justice Department could charge him or that Dems regain control of the House and keep the Senate in this upcoming election cycle but for the time being their hands are tied.

Clarence believes he is American royalty and is above the law. When I was a law student many years ago, respect for all courts was hammered into our minds. Judges are supposed to be beyond reproach. Lyin Sammy Alito and Sneaky Clarence have eroded my respect for the US Supreme Court. I was a law student during Clarence's confirmation hearing, and that of Robert Bork. Bork was truthful during his hearing and wasn't confirmed. Clarence learned that if he lied, he would be confirmed. Lyin Sammy, Kavenaugh, Gorsich, and Barrett followed Sneaky Clarence's example.

Civil penalties may include fines of up to $50,000, as well as disciplinary action, such as suspension or termination of employment. Criminal penalties may include fines, imprisonment for up to 5 years, or both.

It's not any harder to be a good person than a scoundrel, it is only a matter of how you act and when (+ the likelihood of getting caught).
