I love this part in Titanic its Rose letting her hair down and being a kid and she was 17 at the time I am sure Jack was older. All of Kate Winslet's dresses were made for her and she was so beautiful in them! Rose may have Cal because he was rich but she choose Jack because Jack was a free spirit.

He cheated on her multiple times, beat her, and to top it off left her and their newborn baby when a yearly checkup from her doctor revealed she had breast cancer. He’s remarried now and never sees his child, my friend is also remarried to a man who treats her the way a lady should be treated and treats her son like his own. So no money isn’t everything. If Rose hadn’t have met Jack she’d be dead, either from jumping off the back of the ship or finding someway to kill herself before or after the wedding .

I think of it like this: Jack wanted her to be free and happy. He even told her that she would've had kids and died of old age as a grandma. He wouldn't have wanted her to be miserable and unhappy. So perhaps even as she coped with the loss, she promised Jack and herself to enjoy riches of her life, which would include getting married. And of course we have no idea when she married her husband in America since movie never specified that but most likely few years passed when her heart was ready to welcome someone 🙂❤️
That was what Jack wanted her to do. He literally told her she would go on and have babies and die an old lady warm in her bed. He saved her life so she could live it, not waste it. As for her husband, I'm sure she did love him, believe it or not it's possible to love more than one person in your life. Love isn't a finite resource, it just gets bigger. Her love for her husband doesn't take away from her love for Jack.

Yeah, I mean people can criticise how short the love story was, but I reently realised that it was the amount of fun they had that played a huge part in their falling in love so quickly. Plus, there was the whole sinking, which cut everything short.

Yeah, I mean people can criticise how short the love story was, but I reently realised that it was the amount of fun they had that played a huge part in their falling in love so quickly. Plus, there was the whole sinking, which cut everything short.
