    I had the privilege to witness the unloading of a Beluga (number 3 if I remember correctly). It is truly an awesome experience to see.

    I'm surprised it only needs 2 engines

    • @regularflurfy8174
      @regularflurfy8174 8 лет назад +4

      There wouldn't be need for extra engines due to the fact that it can practically lift an entire A320. Besides, I don't think the A300's architecture can support two more engines.

    • @Koploper77
      @Koploper77 8 лет назад

      +Yoshikage Kira Who said that it needs 4 engines? They could've made it a trijet aswell

    • @regularflurfy8174
      @regularflurfy8174 8 лет назад

      Again, the Beluga is based on the A300, which is a twinjet. I doubt the Beluga could support another engine.

    • @matekochkoch
      @matekochkoch 8 лет назад +3

      It had a flap problem, so it had to land with a higher speed than usually. Therefore it landed in Liverpool, because the runway is longer than in Broughton.
      It landed safely and if they have not died yet, they all lived happily ever after.

      Most of the parts that it flew were relatively large but they are also relatevely light as well.
      Now if you force the Beluga to carry something like a large gas generator or a heavy locomotive, it can struggle to even take off from the ground.
