Very cool, although being friction driven instead of by a sprocket, I’d imagine that this will have significant trouble if used in difficult terrain. It’s an easier build though, so that’s not a bad thing
If you where to place another row of rubber in the centre of track, directly over the wheels so you have rubber on rubber to give more grip for turning. As you try to turn your drive wheels are spinning in the track.because you have rubber running on the steel. But I like the concept of the tracked machine.
Good work, but controls are backwards. You should push the lever forward to make that track go, pull back to make it stop or reverse. He evidently has it set up the opposite where he his pushing the lever forward to apply the brake. I find that very nonintuitive and inconsistent with how real tanks work.

lol. :) The Mercedes Benz logo on his golf car is the best! Cool build! I felt bad for him , when he got to the dirt lot and figured out that his tank turned better in reverse cuz it kept loosing traction on those smooth inner treads. He needs a couple cans of spray on bed liner or maybe just couple fists full of self tapping bolts on those inner treads for some traction!
Great concept boring video. should have sped it up a bit ....I did one of these based on go cart wheels, lawn mower engine and industrial conveyor tracking.
Your front drive axle is twisting....why tire tire is only spinning.....watch when you stop on the pavement roadway to see it......needs to be solid mounted.....if possible.....spring load the back one....just do sliding tube mount...add grease nipple....fill with grease.....the grease will act like hydraulic pressure.....to keep tracks tite....bulldozers use this design.
Good video, good content except the freaking giant watermarks at the middle of the screen and the moving one either, what a ridiculous. The kind of watermarks just ruined a good video, plus annoying as well. SMH

alternatively, you could use 2 electric motors that drive each side instead of a transmission
