Man if this was booked correctly it could have been huge. Such a missed opportunity. Steiner as a monster heel (on his own without the stable, kinda how they booked the homeless guy but winning all the time and still fucking with the crowd). Build the tag team division around the Bollywood Boys as faces and the Shieks as the heels. Make Baroods losing streak a storyline with a final match where if he loses he is fired, put him up against one of the taller American guys (Masters maybe) and give him the upset victory. So many missed opportunities.

I believe Magnus is right about the audience being paid in some way or the other.
Because Ring ka King definitely wasn't a live show, and back in the day I never heard about any ticket sales or anything.
One day colors just had a wrestling show on their main TV channel.
This wasn't the first attempt Colors had in bringing a wrestling show on their TV channel however.
They did something with a South African wrestling promotion for one season before this.
Also the thing about Indian audiences are, a lot of us are not hardcore fans, most watch WWE, most like what WWE does but TNA did have an audience too, and honestly back in the day TNA really did a lot more to branch out in India than WWE did, with their live shows.
Also because we are not smart fans, kayfabe works really really well here. God forbid some heel came in and insulted the city, there would probably be an actual riot. Scott clearly realised that and did old school heel stuff which worked well.
And lets be real here, seeing a guy like Scott Steiner would be shocking for almost the entire world, man's so jacked, so there's obviously that factor playing into how intimidating he comes off as.
