- In this video, we will talk about how the capacitive liquid level sensor works.
We all love using plants to brighten up our living spaces, but taking care of them is no easy feat.
How to keep these plants alive may cause a headache, especially when we’re away for a holiday.
Well, in that case, drip irrigation may be a good way to solve this problem.
Besides, if we can monitor the water tank and get informed to refill it in a timely manner,
then our dear plants may enjoy their vacation just as we do.
So how do we know if the water tank is nearly empty?

This is a non-contact liquid level sensor with a status indicator and adjustable sensitivity. It can be used in liquid detection of non-metallic containers or pipes, suitable for all types of detection of curved or flat surfaces, arcs, cylindrical containers, or piping fluids. The status feedback of the sensor can be given in real-time.
Besides that, the sensor comes with a 4-pin sensor adaptor that can directly collect digital signals, which is convenient for connecting with Arduino or other main controllers. This liquid level sensor can be widely used in liquid detection of a tank, water dispenser, etc.

Excellent explanation on the history and working theory of capacitance and capacitors. I have seen plenty over the past decade. This one is great.
Excellent
Thanks, it's a very useful video explaining how the capacitance works and how a capacitive liquid sensor works. It would be nice to measure the actual level of water, by modifying the distance between the plates of the capacitor.
Thank you for sharing and clarifying this video. I subscribe.
Great video, thanks you.
please keep your videos in this format.
can it sense liquid in tin and aluminum cans?
Hi, I have the same sensor. However, it senses even when I shake my hand or touch the bottle in which I attached the sensor. I only have the sensor though not the module connected the sensor in your video . can this be the reason why sensor senses my hand
Urgent. I am an undergraduate student. It's great work. I have to implement some of the ideas related to this. How can I contact you to discuss more about this technology?
Doesn't the moisture sensor work by capacitance also?
Not Steve Jobs, LG.
@1:03 Steve Jobs did no such thing. Please stop giving any and every tech innovation credit to this one individual. Other faceless brilliant minds had a lot more to do with it than he ever did.
Only detects the precense of wather level?
