Good old height restrictions I remember when I was 16 I got pulled over by Michigan State trooper I had to put a drop bumper on my old square body LOL. By the way that S10 is badass!!!!

I have 03 ZR2 and just did complete brake overhaul and had the same issue that you did were I had monster good brakes until starting the engine and then they just went to almost nothing. Did the same thrashing, re-bleed brakes, check for leaks, etc to no known avail. Finally I had to move it so put tires back on and drove it a little. Suddenly, brakes were working normally. Be damned if I know WTF happened but it works right now so I'll take it. Happy wheel'n.

This thing is awesome! I have a 2001 4.3 2wd s10 with only 88k on it. but when my motor finally blows i will be doing something like this! I will probably go with the 2.8 cummins with dana 60s! i love your visions man! awesome rig
Nice! I've got a 2000 s10 blazer, has jeep axles. Thinking of small blocking it. You might try a cheap dirt track carb. They can take beaten and still perform. Speed way motors has cheap carbs. Thanks for the info. Enjoy your toy!

That s10 is cool. Great job, I’m impressed. Maybe a tbi injection off a late 80s early 90s Silverado might work better than a carb.
i use a Holly Truck Avenger on my rig, works pretty good, has the cross over tube that at extreme angles it allows either the front or back bowl to be able to breath and feed while the other is blocked from float angle. even at a 45-50 degree pitch it never stalled

You should try a TBI setup from a later model 350. There is a few companies that rebuild the ECM to run just the TBI. All stock, easy to find parts. A buddy of mine did it with a 250 I6 Chevy and Tb from a 2003 S10 4.3. He had a sissel 4bbl intake. It was an awesome setup. He pissed off a lot of dodge boys when he yanked the 4.0 jeep engine to put it in a 98 XJ.
I'm thinking of doing a straight axle swap on my s10 blazer and I think your truck is cool. I think to start out I'm gonna stick to suspension and steering to keep it as simple as possible.

Alot of guys like the lunch box locker. I had one in the front of my old k20. I was driving in the snow doing about 30 mph when it broke. Cracked the differential case and ripped the upper ball joint out on the passenger side. Idk what brand it was? It was in there when I bought the truck. After replacing the front axle and getting new gears because I had a rare 3:23 ratio and i couldn't find any used ones in the wrecking yard. If you put one in the rear differential and it decides to break. You're not going anywhere. I just won't use one after all that.

FAST EFI 1.0 system will give you throttle body, electronics, (it’s not a lot )-, you use the factory fuel pump. Or you can add the pump, it’s pulse modulated so no need to run a return line. That’s an extra 300ishbi think..and you should already have the square bolt intake so..and you don’t have to have the trans controller.
please do some trail videos over it and after some time, a Q&A would be good when you get it more figured out. I'd looked to build one much lower with a little bigger tires and maybe stretching the wheelbase. Do you have any suggestions for someone building a similar truck?
Bad luck with holly and edelbrock on 4x4s I'd go with a older 4 barrel Rochester found in square body chevys cheap... find them pretty easy and work wonders off-road

For off reading I go holly EFI it works great 👍😎
Get a 4 barrel carb with a center hung fuel bowl in combination with a electric fuel pump. Spend a few bucks and get some proper wire connectors, heat shrink and wire loom before you have some serious electrical problems. Wire nuts have no place on a vehicle.
I have a 96 s-10 manual 4x4 & 5 speed 4.3 would love to do this to my truck.

For those talking about the FiTech system, yes it's cheap but that's because there is no customer support no warranty. If you get it and it doesn't work or breaks easy they won't back up their product. So ya it's $1000 or less but it's a gamble.

Just get a factory TBI setup for that truck with an external fuel regulator. Any parts can be bought at the store.

Any updates on the S-10? Really like the build. I've been thinking about doing something like this and came across your videos after a search while looking into it to see if anyone has done one up like this.
