Funny thing is, Joker sorta reminds me of High Noon. Hyperliberal Hollywood tried to guide that film into being a cautionary tale about allowing incels to exists, but it ends up being highly popular among the very people it tried to be a screed against. It ended up being interpreted as a cautionary tale about the dangers of abandoning and marginalizing the people they hate.

virtue signalers are disingenuous social climbers that would throw you under the bus for some dopamine social points
Virtue signalers have something eating them alive morally, so they have to find a cause to justify themselves, and since they know they're rotten on the inside, they need others to believe and tell them they're virtuous

@@kevintanza6968 "You go girl."
Harley is somehow "inspiring", and "empowering" now. Y'know, I've always wanted to know; How so?
She's a weak-willed ditz, who, despite ostensibly being a well-trained shrink in the employ of Arkham Asylum (who you 'd think would want people accustomed to dealing with sociopaths and psychos), forgot the cardinal rule of dealing with a violent, psychotic sociopath, and *known liar* , and got suckered in by a fat, steaming load of bullshit. She is at least complicit in any atrocities the Joker has committed since then, and is no doubt responsible for a helluva lot more than that.
And y'know what? She got out of a toxic relationship with him. Fucking-And?! She's still a villain. She still kills people (now on behalf of the government, because..huminahuminahumina "plausible deniability" suicide squads eats 80 tons of barnyard dick, fite me irl m8). She's still a complete ditz dressed up like whore on sabbatical from a Barnum and Bailey's-style brothel. About her only saving grace is that she is, somehow, *skilled enough to lie to Batman AND Superman without getting caught* and even then, it's only because DC, as much as they've strayed away from the political trappings that Marvel has entangled themselves in, STILL has a huge problem with complete hacks shilling a character to ridiculous levels when they don't deserve it. On that note, I wonder how long it'll be before she gets her own variant of the "muh prep-time" argument.
She sucks.

"Joker" is a joke of a movie, an entire film insincerely deep and trolling it's audience into outrage and outrageous box office success for all the wrong reasons. It is an overlong Oscar-baity origin story/ character study of the most over-used character in the Batman cannon. It is cliched, predicable, and transparently pandering to pretentious peacocks successfully by parroting far better movies, which (SURPRISE!) most of them have not seen, even as it erases essential elements from the DNA of it's titular character. Joker," is like its namesake in that it is s a calculatedly combustible, mostly competent cocktail, a poisonous potion provided to stir up toxically political polemics on both sides and ride the wave of controversy to the top of the Box Office-a chaos driven scheme as worthy of the Joker moniker as Arthur Fleck is not. Instead of this trite, Nolan/Scorsese-esque crimeshit, smart potential viewers should re-watch Taxi Driver instead, because if backstage political drama is enough to make you flock to this flick and flood it with critical praise, you just might be as disappointingly relevant but as unrecognizably dumb as the the Joker in 2019.

As for the left/right struggle in Hollywood, I don't see it as so much as one side vs. another. It's more like some people at the top were fighting for control of the narrative while a bunch of middlemen may or may not be part of that fight and care only about making their movies. There were people who emerged not too long after the collapse of the old Hollywood such as George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. Both men have known to be left-leaning in their political views but with their films, they always focused on film as an art rather than a platform to promote political ideology. So they're not really part of that left/right battle. Their movies would be made no matter who was in charge. Then you have people like Rian Johnson and Spike Lee who's work is more about the politics than the art form itself. While there is nothing wrong with having politics in a film, when the politics overshadows the film itself and becomes the main priority, the film almost always suffers as a result.
We're seeing this in the gaming industry. Just look at Nintendo and their approach to games vs. the crap David Cage shits out. One cares more about crafting a product whereas the other cares more about the message of the product rather than the product itself.

Been doing a Duke movie night for the better part of a year now, the films never get old, & they’re a moral palate cleanser for the drivel coming out of theaters today. I think Rio Bravo just got pushed onto the plate for this week.
The most important point you make in this video is that the reason gamergate/comicsgate is happening is due to an attempt at social engineering through the entertainment people consume. It’s not an accident these “themes” are being squeezed into every sort medium being produced today, & it sure as hell isn’t organically being produced by the culture. It is, at it’s core, an attempt to mindworm these communist ideals into the populace. Luckily their muses have abandoned them & everything they produce is about as subtle as an icepick lobotomy.
People need to explicitly connect these dots & call this kind insidious manipulation out more directly, as you just did, because they’re feeding this shit to our kids in school. It’s harder for them to palm our children’s brains if the kids know that there’s a con being run on them.

He wasn't a high level guy, but was very much a team player in a good position. He was repeating what the word was around that very tiny town.
All I was thinking, piracy isn't your problem, content is. But then I was seeing the left wing writing on the wall, back in the STNG days.
This is why I subbed to Razorfist. I do not refer to these videos as rants, I refer to to them as truth pills.
7:50 I didn't know Bernie would be appearing in this rant.
"SoyWalker...........Rrrrriiiiiiiisssseeeee!!!!"
I can count on one hand the number of movies I've gone to see over the last five years. I don't bother with them anymore. I also don't bother with buying them on Bluray. I pirate, and without guilt.
I saw Joker last night- it was ok. Prior to that, in early September I saw Hobbs & Shaw 🖓. .. Hobbs and Shaw was the first film I saw at theaters in years and the propoganda was so bad, I almost walked out. Once you see it, you can't un see it.
"Hollywood hates you. It's okay to hate them back".
I think you've found your next t-shirt.
You mentioned Rio Bravo, one of my favorite films of all time and even spoke about how it was a counter to high noon! Truly a man of culture!
How the hell does the guy come up with so many one liners so quickly
I've been going back and finding a lot of old films to enjoy. Their are a lot of public domain movies that are worth a good laugh and watch.
I do appreciate McGregor's warning US not to waste our money on this crap.
I've never been this early I feel special
Movies are going through a weird transitional phase right now. With the rise of the streaming services, a lot of people aren't going to the movies to see documentaries, romance films, comedies or anything like that. They're going to see the big spectacle films because it fits better with the moviegoing experience. Take Dr. Strange for example. It was not by any means a film that deserved to win any awards, but I could not imagine not going to the theaters to see that. I think that's how the future paradigm will be. Big budget films will be in the theaters. Lower budget films will be streamed at home. I think that actually might be better since there is a lot more room for competition online than there is in the theaters. I think this was going to happen no matter what, but since Hollywood is destroying itself, it's happening much faster than what they might have been anticipating.
Is it me, or has Razor been cranking out a lot of vids lately?
Sex and race relations were going well toward the end of the 90s and mid 2000s just before social media gave a voice to the most well-off yet whiniest people in the world. It wasn't just black people and women who were fans of Michael Jordan, Ripley, The Fresh Prince or The Bride in Kill Bill. It's time to start ignoring the fringe idiots again.
social media has done far more damage to humanity than benefit it.
These are the golden days of daily content from this awesome dude
Absolutely awesome! I think this is the best rant I have heard in all of 2019! So good I have saved it to my local hard drive. It deserves some kind of award.
Razor how do you not think Joker is Oscar worthy? Like, have you actually seen it? The way it handles class divide, society's treatment of the mentally ill, and the disconnect of the media from everyday people is really nuanced and well done. Especially with the absolute trite that comes out today I don't know what you think would be more deserving of an Oscar than Joker.
You just have to remember its not actually a joker movie. They just slapped the brand on it to get it funded
@@clockworklemon9243 it does have many Joker elements. But I partially agree with you.
And yeah, Razor should be more fair with his assesment of a movie. I am also tired of the Joker, but this movie was really really good.
He's just being a reactionary cunt. What else is new.
@@Sgt.Dornan117 I do agree with Razorfist that the Joker is over saturated. The same case can be made for Batman. Which is why I am happy Aquaman grossed a billion. I just wanted something different in between the batman offerings. I am not saying don't make any more Batman media; I just want something else in between.
A real look at toxic masculinity huh? Worked really good with Gillette
