      Right?! It’s amazing! How many days out of the month do you give of availability?

    I might consider per diem once I'm married and can get benefits through my husband....flexible schedule AND more pay?! Not having guaranteed hours would make me uncomfortable though.
    I could totally relate when you were eating cookies while contemplating what you wanted to eat...that's like me everyday, eating while trying to figure out what the heck I want to eat!!

      Yea, you’d have to have money saved just in case you don’t get enough hours to pay off bills.
      And about the eating LOL I am always thinking about my next meal 😌

      My job offered me a fixed schedule per diem because I’m going back to school and child care problems. Happy to have a job that like working full time but can change anytime I want off ❤

    PACU PRN is amazing, looove it, wanna do it forever! I’m also working Acute Dialysis just On Call 3-4 times a week which I like as well just not as much as PACU.

      PACU seems very interesting! Did you have ICU experience prior to PACU?

    • @jesse021891
      @jesse021891 3 года назад +1

      @@LifeAsWendyRN no I had IMU(Intermmediate Care Unit) expirience 3:1 ratio and that counted as critical care like ER/ ICU prior to applying for PACU.

    Is there a difference between per diem and PRN?

    • @LifeAsWendyRN
      @LifeAsWendyRN  3 года назад +1

      No, it’s used interchangeably. Per diem, prn, casual... same thing

    Are new grad nurses able to take per-diem jobs? Thank you very much.

      From what I’ve seen, per diem nurses are usually experienced but that doesn’t mean there aren’t exceptions.

      I am a new grad and was offered a per diem position. But orientation will be full time

      @@rosanellesblessedlife1786 I had to do orientation full time too. That’s awesome that you got a per diem! The flexibility is sooo nice
