LOL, I'm already getting this in ID.4 I just assume responsibility if something goes wrong but in such conditions on such speed it's unlikely to crash.

    • @ngiovas
      @ngiovas 11 месяцев назад +2

The ID.4 only has level 2 autonomous driving. It is not the same thing since you are supposed to still be watching the road with the ID.4. Most brands offer level 2. Mercedes is the only consumer vehicle that I am aware of that offers level 3 driving in the US.

@@ngiovas my point is that the difference is in legal perspective, the car still drives the same way.

@@privettoli i heard in a talk that the EQS has more redundancy (example: steering motor is separated to the servo motor and some other parts) that is required next to the certification process to get L3. software wise not much difference but hardware wise there are differences.

This guy saying that ping-ponging is solved by map data nearly made me spit out my coffee. Ouch. FSD/Autopilot works completely offline and doesn't ping-pong in the slightest. If you need maps for your self-driving to work, you are going to fail.

What!? No it doesn't! You're talking about Tesla's adas? It wonders all over. I've had it attempt to wander to the right, under a semi trailer twice.

So how far away is the car in front of you? It feels like it's driving rather slowly versus the cars around it. Granted this may not be a bad thing but doesn't seem like the most appealing experience.

Crazy how many "free" Tesla defending trolls are everywhere.
Maybe they still wait for Roadster-2 as a gift for their efforts? Elon, where is the free cheese... car for influencers?
And MB top manager was right when he said that Semi truck was impossible with the tech Tesla had. It's why it is not mass-produced yet - Tesla needed years of tech improvement.
BUT the main point is: Level 5 is years from now. Even Level 4 could be problematic to get authorization for - and driver's control is still needed, anyway.
So Level 3 is the safe bet now.
Total Tesla domination, using Robotaxi service with Level 5 FSD FAILED.
When - and if Tesla will get to reliable Level 5, other leading brands will get to Level 4.
And then Tesla will wait several years to get driverless model approved.

So you one of those who tries to compare Mercedes joke system which ONLY works on highways with 50'ish limitations to a system which is being developed to work on any road?... Seriously?... Mercedes shills are sad...
If you want to have reasonable comparison then do it with Tesla free autopilot or atleast with Tesla enhanced autopilot which are made to work on highways. Which one performs better?

@@Zripas Autopilot term is a marketing trick from Tesla. You need to control everything, anytime. Tesla or MB or other car.
So... no Robotaxi in many years to come. The rest is just little bit more comfort at most.

Its cool that you completely ignored everything I said and went to talk about different topic here...
I would have more trust in Tesla autopilot than I would in this joke system which only works in extremely specific conditions, which only means that it's really easy to scare it of. Its a joke system, a thing made to give Mercedes free advertisement and to have that claim that hey did it first... Nothing more.

This is laughable.😂 It is absolutely useless. No faster than 40 mph, must have a vehicle in front to follow, road conditions must be dry and clear, lane marking limited, route must be pre-mapped- geofencing and daytime only. (Hopefully MB paid you to recite their marketing script) 9:25

So, to summarize, Mercedes' Drive Pilot works only when the road conditions are perfect and you're moving at the pace of a turtle. Mercedes should be embarrassed.
