They never called for resistor plugs until the FCC got into it for tv signals and radio being interfered with. Coils last longer when the secondary resistance is as low as possible, otherwise the coil drives up the voltage higher and higher and this is what causes wear on the coil or coil drivers. Do NOT use resistor spark plugs on a magneto or points and condenser ignition systems
I now own a 2015 Cub Cadet that never came with the manual. It came with the Kawasaki FR651V 21.5 Gross HP engine. (Note: It never came with its manual and it's not the Honda you speak of). If you could be so kind or anyone reading this, give me the plug types and #'s that is recommended for my application. Thank you so much you all!
So what if you are working on a mower that does not have a spark plug installed (i know, i know) and nor do i have the owners manual, AND searching online for the manual OR correct plug doesn't help me get closer to an answer either?
Do you have a model number to look up on the manufacturer website? Generally Briggsmotors take a Champion Rj19lm, or Rc12yc for OHV engines. Honda's use Ngk Bpr-5es most commonly.
I was curious does a NGK R/BR6HS work on a Powersmart 21 inch 3 in 1 mower like the Torch K7RTC one that I took out and need to replace because it won’t crank up
@@berardia4 how do I know what engine it is. Also I know the NGKR/BR6HS has “Made in Japan” on it and the shape on it compared to the original Torch K7RTC is different. Do you have an email so I can send you a pic of both of them. It seems a little shorter which is probably why it’s not getting any spark to it
1:05 "if you look in the owner's manual"
Me: The.... what......?
Thanks for the shoutout Al, hope all is going well.
Good video. I did reuse an E3 once and I was not happy with that decision.
thanks for the video..i took your advice and never checked gap i put them in my zero turn and its running great
If we all had the owners manual why would we be watching this video?
Thanks for your comment. Intent is to show that the proper spark plug should be used and how to determine which plug to use.
Be great if I had a manual
Good video, thanks

Simple question you don't have an owner's manual that's why you're asking the question have you had it owner's manual you could read it and find out

What plug should I use on Briggs and Stratton 125cc, don’t have manual
robert sparaney find the model number on the engine and go to Briggs and Stratton.com to look up the manual.

If it is a honda cone engine I would think it would. Just check that it looks the same.
Thanks for subscribing 👍
