Great review! I really like how well the film picks up reds and brings out somewhat of a cream hue in whites. Your ferris wheel shot REALLY showcases what it can do. Can't wait to run a few rolls through my camera.

It's funny because I didn't consider it to be a good shot when I took it but now a couple months later I also find it to be the best representation of the whole trip 😀 as is the spilled popcorn photo by Anthony from the focalmatter video

8:31 Blackpool is a chaotic place, so I think those shots capture that feel well
Ahhhhhh this is my favourite video as of yet - was such a good day and despite me NOT thriving I actually loved the experience we had. I am still waiting for my photos to get Dev'd and cant wait to share with you. This was a great video and some of the most AMAZING photographs I have seen - i'm so happy obviously my faves are not the ones of me... but the ones of the ferris wheel is outstanding and totally one I would like a print of... and I love the melted ice cream as well

You said some of your shots were "over crowded and chaotic”? Consider holding camera horizontal to give a more natural look and space in your composition. Your eyes are horizontal and used to seeing the world around you in that orientation. Portrait orientation, can often give a crowded look with more sky and less space for the actual subject. Just a friendly tip.
Thank you for the tip and I completely agree with you! I think you hit the nail on the head! Since I've made this video I have started shooting horizontal much more often, I got that tip at a workshop I took, and it has really changed everything. I rarely shoot vertical nowadays, it makes all the difference when there is a lot going on in the frame!
These are so fun! I’ve shot this film as Luminar (?) 100 and got similar results - very sharp with good shadows and nice color. Definitely not a modern look
Thank you for your comment!! 🤗 yep the colors are wonderful! it's the first aerocolor film I shot, and it hasn't disappointed. I'm in the process of finishing a Washi X roll which should be very similar. Such a great film for summer days ☀

I’m dying to shoot that film at the TWA hotel in NYC’s Kennedy Airport
had to look up the TWA hotel and oh my gosh! looks like a perfect spot for this film! would love to see your photos if you go for it. Plus, if you're at the airport you can do some aerial spying as per the intended use 😄

This is a negative film. It is not magenta, but your settings for scanning it may be off. Some of the programs have difficulties interpreting negatives with no orange mask. No scanning or even RA-4 optical printing is ever done with zero filtration.
Yup I did notice that there is a big difference depending on which lab I. have it developed and scanned in. I really have to get into scanning my own film because that could help me really personalise the results over time
