I have been using Photo Mechanic as my goto browser since the beginning of digital photography. I will teach you how to master this amazing browser.
In this video tutorial I will cover the settings. I know the settings are not that exciting, but they will enhance the program.
I will give you a general overview of the Photo Mechanic 6 contact sheet. We will take a look at the power of variables. Variables can be used to auto fill just about any text field. Variables simplifies the folder, renaming and iptc fields.
Next I will show you Photo Mechanics 6 IPTC, and metadata templates. If you are are an editorial photographer or Photojournalist, this is the goto program. Your statement at 1:49 is incorrect when you said sticking a card in the camera will open up the ingest dialog. Inserting the camera's memory card into the PC USB card reader, not the camera, will automatically show the ingest panel for that selected setting. Just clarifying for understanding.
If I did you are correct I meant computer not camera
I enjoyed the video, thank you. Question. On my Windows 11 computer, I have to hold Ctl + 1 to get a Red lable. Just clicking 1 gives me one star. Is there a workaround to get red without holding Ctl and just typing 1? Thanks
Ok on a mac it is just 1. You might be able to change that in the preferences. I know you can in other applications. I have never used windows. Actually i i think PM uses settings.
