      Where is this Trailblazer made ?

  • @braetonwilson4296
    @braetonwilson4296 7 месяцев назад +55

    This 2024 Chevy Trailblazer is packed with value! Keep in mind that the 2024 Trailblazer is around the same price as the 2024 Toyota Corolla sedan/hatchback and yet the Trailblazer has significantly more cargo space, more passenger space, more ground clearance, and bigger & nicer infotainment screens and driver's information display! Plus because it's turbocharged, it feels faster & more fun to drive than the Corolla! Finally, the Chevy dealership will definitely give a bigger discount on the Trailblazer than you can possibly get on the Corolla so the Trailblazer will actually be cheaper! Great review Hardesty Bros!

    Rented one last time I went to Pittsburgh with some pretty negative preconceived notions. That said I really enjoyed driving that thing around the city and up and down Mt. Washington. Was really fun to drive, convenient handy and zippy for getting around downtown. It actually felt surprisingly sporty. I own an Acadia and it had many of the same features I love about my vehicle. I would not buy a trailblazer for where I live out in rural Florida, but for city life where there's tight streets, corners, and some elevation and snow, this little awd is pretty perfect. If i moved to the city I would absolutely consider trading in for one of these. Plenty of room for my two sons and all our baggage.

  • @stupid8911

    I have a little soft-spot for this generation of the Trailblazer, and this refresh doesn't change that. From the side, the front end looks like the Kia Seltos, and head-on, it gives a little Hyundai Santa Cruz, and those aren't criticisms, 👍

    I just picked up this Trailblazer RS in red. Got all the packages: sunroof, dual-pane, panaramic; Convenience package; adaptive cruise and soumd package; driver confidence package. Really like this vehicle. I also have the fully loaded 2024 Trax 2RS and love that one as well. The difference, other than appearance, I think, are the Trailblazer is a little smoother ride, larger on the inside, the center console and door arm rests are slighltly softer (but not much), power drivers seat in the RS model, but a negative is that the Trailblazer is louder with road noise than the Trax. Really love both of these, of course I got the AWD version of the Trailblazer.

    • @na2305
      @na2305 Месяц назад

      We almost went with a 2024 AWD RS but after having a 2021 FWD RS for the past 3 years its rough ride from the low profile tires and RS "sport" suspension became annoying to us (looks wise, the RS is amazibg). We went with a fully loaded AWD LT which drives a lotttt smoother and softer than our RS. Having AWD this time will come in handy for Ohio winter weather

  • @dw8555
    @dw8555 Месяц назад +1

    To me, the big advantage of the Trailblazer over the Trax is the availability of the 1.3L engine. The 1.3L utilizes chains to drive the cams and the oil pump/balance shaft versus the "wet" belts that are in the 1.2L engine. The use of chains should yield a more durable, longer lasting engine with less maintenance cost. It's a big deal to change the belts in the 1.2L engine because they are INTERNAL to the engine, requiring much more disassembly than more common "dry" belts. Chains typically last the entire life of the engine whereas belts need to be changed at regular (long) intervals.

    We just picked up a loaded AWD 2024 LT trim. The ACTIV trim in my opinion is a waste (you're just paying allllll that extra $ for a white roof, rough terrain tires and a goofy skid plate.). We had a 2021 RS but it drove like a tank with it's low profile tires and "sport" suspension. (Pointless for a daily driver on pot hole Ohio roads). The LT rides a lot softer/smoother with it's bigger sidewall tires. We also picked up some really high quality NAPA leather front seat covers.

  • @JMC1992
    @JMC1992 21 час назад

    I've had one for more than a year and the worst things are: driver's seating area discomfort (esp. the door armrest height and width), the lack of overall body and interior width (your left shoulder is too close to the pillar between the doors), the lower headroom (compared to Equinox or other models), the overall interior quality including the narrow A/C tubing/vents and poor speakers), unimpressive mpg for the downsized engine compared to Equinox, and lack of engine power in the upper gears (for passing). Positives: relatively smooth drive, very effective low gear torque for ON-ROAD snow/ice/wet, an OK price point for the AWD and other features.
    Summary, not a great car, but OK and it feels and looks like it should be about $2000-2600 cheaper than it is.

    All this is great and good, but the ONLY question that matters (to me at least) is this: just how disposable is the tiny 3 cylinder turbo and transmission? I have no doubt the majority of these things will be fine during the powertrain warranty period...but GM (like all car companies these days with the possible exception of Toyota and Mazda) wants people to get into a new car every 4-5 years. Financially good for the large corporation selling these things, financially ruinous for ordinary people with a modest salary. So yeah, let's revisit the Trailblazer/Trax/Buick Envision and anything else using the same powertrain in 5-6 years. In fact the only 3 cylinder engine I'd touch is the Toyota engineered one that's currently only in the GR Corolla...and hopefully some different models down the line. Those things are built stout straight from the factory..and tuners are only seeing problems when they increase the boost to get above 325hp...and that problem is valve float. Top end stuff is much easier to remedy than bottom end, but it also shows that little 3cylinder if left in stock form will likely do over 100k miles without issue. Of course like all non-naturally aspirated engines the turbo will be a weak link...but hopefully Toyota puts a non-turbo version with something around 180-190hp in one of their smaller vehicles...like the non GR Corolla hatchback.
