I always had fun making variations on this deck. Tauros was great because it gave more use to double colorless and could use any energy. And I also had a lot of fun running Aerodactyl on my bench with Haymaker. Once that Aerodactyl hits the feild, your opponent can't play evolution cards anymore... so it will completely stunt any non haymaker deck. And a big plus is that incase Aerodactyl does get pulled onto the feild, it can use any type of energy even though its a fighting type.
To switch from this build to the Mewtwo build, it makes sense that you could just swap out Hitmonchan for the promo Mewtwo, the Fighting Energy for Psychic Energy, and like three of the Lightning Energy for Energy Search to dig for your Psychic Energy to discard them. Or with Computer Search or something
I made an anti-haymaker deck that really seems to work well. This deck only works against haymaker, but I would love to see an analysis on this. Basically this deck makes it's really challenging for haymaker to work efficiently. The low retreat cost and energy requirement really seems to slow down haymaker and most of the time, haymaker ends up running out of cards and loosing. I use 4 base set Machops, 4 Fossil magmar, 4 fossil gastly, 6 psychic, 6 fighting, 9 fire, 4 scoop up, 1 super energy removal, 4 energy retrieval, 4 pokecenter, 2 bills, 4 energy removal, 4 gust of wind, 4 energy search.
Nice video and deck. I made a Haymaker deck with Team Rocket Machop instead of Hitmonchan. It's a bit weeker and has no holos, but I only need electro energy.
Bob Op You could play with 4 prizes instead for quicker games. But most competitive play just used Prof Oak conservatively after the first few turns to avoid decking.
Would you say that this is the best or one of the best all-around haymaker decks? I'm currently building one and they're all a bit different. Thanks for the great content!
Scottemon G. I prefer Magmar over Hitmonchan, but Base-Fossil has way too many big normals to ignore Hitmonchan. My favorite build is Scyther, Magmar, Electabuzz, Wigglytuff.
Do a video covering DAMAGE SWAP DECK

Thank you for video:) i would probably remove some energies and add some trainers:)
I've heard deck outs are really common in this format. Do people ever play with fewer prize cards in order to mitigate this?

This was my jam till Neo Genesis came out then I switched to a Sneasel deck with baby Pokémon

Big basics were super op. Kanghaskan from Jungle seems incredible, too yeah?
