Thanks for the videos very informative. I've been tossing around the idea of putting my own saw together vs buying one already built. Today I realized that I've been watching your saws on marketplace as well, as I'm kind of local (2hrs away). Keep doing what you do.

Small world.... I have a few new videos to post. Just have to go to town to post them. Bad country internet. If you like to tinker, and can temper frustration with missing or wrong parts, these are a blast to put together. If your in a rush and the goofy issues will get your blood pressure up, then you won't like it. I post stuff on facebook too under bulletproof saws. Stop by and say Hi!

So if someone was going to buy a pre-built 660 clone...would the Farmertec/Holzfforma be a better bet.....or the Neotec NS892?

@@iqraceworks9707 we're a few years past this video.. I dropped neotech about 2 years ago. There was more than a few quality control issues on the 660 kits and I couldn't tolerate it.. I very much wish this was not the case.. competition would be a very good thing, but as of now it's really not there. I hope that changes..

I appreciate your work. I’m undecided yet. Looks like the NEOTECH is better made fit finish durability etc. looking forward to your conclusion. Like to see them in the cut with the same bar and chain. I know it’s a pain to swap. Maybe five cuts each in the same log. Then swap bar/ and chain. Same gas etc. Also do you have a port work video?

I have a hard time saying the Neotech is better and this is why... There are certainly some parts I find better... But I am just getting the Neotec saws out into the wild...I have Farmertec out there for going on four years... So for me to say a new kit with less of a track record is better is hard... It certainly seems a bit better in some very important ways... But time will prove that out. I have a real good feeling on them... And interestingly we have been using Neotec parts for a few years, just not the complete kit. As we do this my buddy Greg pointed out that one of the strongest pulling P&C builds he has is a Neotec from a few years back... So maybe I am being too conservative in my praise for Neotec.. They do have to sort out the chain adjusters. I wound up tossing the one that came in the kit.

@@bulletproofsaws all great points brother. I ran 64/66s 288/394s for years. Found advantages in both. (Obviously). I’m knocking on 60 now so weight and vibration make a big difference to me now. Does one absorb vibration better than the others. Have you got a saw stuck and damaged it. I have out of heat fatigue and frustration. Just wanting to make a good decision. Thanks brother

I'll have to come back n comment after I finally put my neotec kit together, but I have yet to replace a failed neotec part on any of my 660s,...gonna put it together stock as I wanna compare it to some of the hot rod 66s, ,,i was surprised the neotec intake was at 90 like every farmertec cylinder as I have 2 neotec cylinders rivaling oem timing numbers...i almost prefer them now as they're perfect for epoxy..

Did you mean 80 not 90? I have to go look at my notes. I swear I was at 82 on intake... But maybe I just have numbers jumbled in my memory....And 80 vs. 82 can just be how we are seeing/reading the wheel....
