  • Elias Pettersson hasn't played up the level that's been expected of him through two games in Vancouver's opening-round series against Nashville and signs of frustration are evident. TSN Canucks reporter Farhan Lalji has more on the responsibility Pettersson is taking on for his play and how Rick Tocchet is managing his centre.

    It's a 1-1 series, it's not like they need a monumental bounce back they just need to hit the net. They dominated that game but weren't using their opportunities. I mean, Petey basically was given a free goal and then fumbled it so...

      2 free goals lol. Suiter also missed on a breakaway

      @BonnieDoon84I mean his entire career he’s been pretty good in the playoffs in any league he’s been in and was a point per game in his last showing. Not saying he doesn’t need to be better. But playoff dud is just crazy😂

    Petey two missed open nets, Suter two glorious chances, Joshua post, Garland(ish) post, Lafferty breakaway, 80+ shot attempts. I think we'll be fine- that was one of the unluckiest games I've seen a team play.

    can produce good scoring chances with sharp transition offense passing from effective team defense in own zone?

    What is this narrative everyone’s pushing? It’s a tied series at 1-1. Vancouver has been the better team in both games. What “bounce back” do we need?

      How were they better in a 4-1 loss? Preds executed their game plan.Canucks did not. Even ex-Canuck Kevin Bieksa was saying Preds were the better team in Game 2.

      @@danielmaloney946 According to moneypuck, Vancouver wins game 2 80% of the time. Nashville had barely any good looks but they converted, whereas Vancouver couldn't hit an empty net that night. That's why I say they were the "better team" even though they lost.

    • @danielmaloney946
      @danielmaloney946 Месяц назад

      @@jonsnoff5369 Moneypuck does not factor in that some teams actually TRY to play a style where they are heavily outchanced, and then score on the counterattack. This is the playoffs and there are different strategies for a series than a regular season game.

    The path to the Canucks success is to put pucks on the net and HIT THE NET!!!!
    These guys have been hearing their coaches screaming that from the bench ever since PeeWees. You would think it would have sunk in by now.
