Knew you'd be fiending this game, couldn't wait until you started putting videos out again. Can't wait to see what else you come up with man, and I'm glad to see you're back!
Great video. Probably my favorite of all I've seen for this game. What I like about this build is that it's support oriented towards the rider. If you have a monstie that you like but is not very strong or rare, you can still effectively use this build and give them a niche for your team.
It's completely different than mainline Monster Hunters, but I find it really enjoyable. If you're not sure if that's for you, there is a demo you can try out on PC or Switch :)
@@LyonOlivier69 oooh ill probably try that out then. Since your last stream ive also been playing the witcher too and its been a blast. Thanks for the reccomendation and stay safe!
This is awesome, I definitely gotta try this! What are your opinions on the different weapons for this build? I see you're using S&S and Bow. How do they compare to the other 4 weapons? What kind of coatings/weapon skills have you found to be effective?
I like sns and bow because they require no setup. I find it easier to abuse bleed spam on weapons that can use their skill every turn, rather than trying to coordinate hammer charges and bleed. I mean it’s possible, just not as practicable imo. As far as coatings go, power coatings all the way. They’re a 1.5x modifier while rapid fire is 1.8 but you have to spend a turn charging, so in most cases I would use power coating only
@@LyonOlivier69 That makes a lot of sense, thank you! I also didn't know the damage modifiers for power coating and rapid fire, so I appreciate you listing those. I've been feeling the same about weapons. With the whole part-breaking aspect that makes me frequently switch weapons, and the fact that sometimes the monster falls over and you get one turn to pump out damage, I've been very much appreciating the S&S and bow's (w/power coating) abilities to instantly pump out damage. TLDR: I agree and hearing your thoughts make me feel even better about my thoughts 😅
Hello, I have a question please. How did you manage to survive with 1 HP several times after getting hit by Tigrex? I couldn't see any passive that could make it possible regarding your gear setup. Thank you in advance!
Ohh that is nice. If you play with Reverto, I assume he will consume all your bleed effects? So is it better to just play solo? Also what do you think about Synchronize XL? I heard it stacks if it is both a gene on the monster, and a talisman on the rider. That sounds crazy as well! What are all the weapons you are using? Mostly SnS? Do you swap for each monsters?
It depends, Narga is pretty fast, and so is your rider, so a lot of the time, narga will apply bleed first and you will go second. But it can happen that reverto takes the bleed out before you. If he does, hopefully it's on his big hit and not on a tackle. I've had him hit for 6-7-8k damage on bleed when he pulls his bigger attacks so it's not so bad either. Cocnerning Synchronize XL I haven't tried to stack monster and Rider skill, I was actually planning on tryign out a build on that next. I think It can be fun, I don't know exactly how good it is because synchronise adds 80 dmg but you only attack once (Since it's a combined attack) and you can't use all out on your rider since you can't double attack with weapon skills. So you lose on the 60 attack from all out. I will try it out, seems like it can be a very viable and fun build as well :) I mostly use sns and bow yes, it does very good consistant damage and needs no setup. Chaser on hammer does insane damage but it requires a lot of setup and I found it to be less consistant.
@@LyonOlivier69 the HH is amazing with the evasion riff song that gives dodge to everybody! Better than hammer to me! Bow is cool but I am not sure if I should use the charge feature. Synchronize (double attack) stacks from what I read. So 80 for you and 80 for the monster in one attack, that cancel the opponent attack, and can still apply statuses. But yeah, a bleed would be for reverto after though...
@@Polopollo75 yea I really like HH as well. As for bow, I tend to very rarely use the charge. Usually I use charge if a mons is about to fly and have a wing hitzone so I can do a rapid shot on it and drop it instantly or things like that. Damage wise I think spamming power coating is better.
Nice! I will try this out later, Ive only been playing the game for 2 days now so I take my time and finish the story first, but from your intro I see you use the SnS, Bow and Hammer, are these in ur opinion the better weapon combo? or what do you think about GS, HH and GL?

i will really help on the future [barely defeat oltura and unlocked deviants on my playthrought]
@@darkwin1977 hell yea man that’s where the fun begins imo
Hey Tidus, im a bit confused. I made the same build and at level 66 im doing 200-300 per hit with the SnS attack on Grim Tigrex head. Roar, Poison and Bleed all applied. Am i missing something :O
What sns do you use? Is it maxed out? Did you use might charm at the pot? Is it on crit?
@@LyonOlivier69 i am using the same as you, kirin sns and its maxed out. might charm and prayer. im testing atm, i guess it wasnt on crit. but is it realistic that its 3 digits normal and 4 digits on crit?
on dreadqueen i have 4k in total, so it seems to work. i guess it wasnt crit before. i had no idea that crit makes so much difference
@@alexz5153 yea crit depending on your setup adds anywhere between 50% and 100% dmg
@@alexz5153 Yes especially if you use speed slash as it's more numbers. As you can see in the vid there is a moment where i don't crit on a speed slash and it's a lot of 200-300. (I just saw your other comment)
Big pp damage
Bellow Gene is not passive
I know, I just put it there cause it’s a buff not an attack. Just a detail
The game is name monster hunter story 2 ok I have 4 elder dragon
