    Love the way you teach --I have been thru 4 videos --yours is the best -- your intro uses the open top e string --brilliant !

    Just came across your channel and love the way you teach the note for note style with plenty of repeats. I'm subscribed and working through "honkey tonk woman" 👍

    I thought that Richards was in open G tuning on this. I am assuming that you are in standard tuning, since you did not start with explaining the tuning.

    If you are gonna do it you might as well have it right. Repetition is the only way you'll get to the point where the riff becomes instinctive and you can play it easily without thinking. It takes some people longer than others. So what? A good lesson

    As to the “state” Mr. Richards was in I can attest that he was in fact sober.
    What I can not attest to is the degree to which he might have been sober...

    You don't need 6 strings in this song . Keef always play Honky Tonk with 5 strings guitar . Much easier . Anyway perfect lesson

    • @donnymas1405
      @donnymas1405 2 года назад

      It's much easier to leave all the strings on the guitar and tune the lowest string accordingly. Sounds better too.

      Okay now I understand, I think. I must have missed the part where the tuning was mentioned.
      Love this guy's persistence. But it was the tuning that threw me. I'll now go back and watch it again and hopefully it will sink in.
