you can't blame john b for that reaction he had. they are both going through a lot in that scene because we know ward is a crappy guy but he is still sarah's dad and she cares for him and it is sad to see her go through that. john b in that moment was in shock and he felt peace as well, because to himself is that he found justice for his dad and of course he is going through so many different emotions in that situation and so is sarah. he can't really focus on sarah's emotion when there is alot of emotions in him in that moment as well.
