@@Koko3op That may be but he has never been mentioned by BTS members. Not even the dancers. MJ? Sure. Chris Brown? No. J-Hope gets his influence from original Hiphop dancers and Jimin would rather name Taeyang and Rain as influence (besides the street dance he learned by looking at other streetdancers). Other influences are for example Brian Puspos and probably Taemin. Was there influence by Brown? IDK. But if so only second hand influence.
@@Koko3op Dude, so-so in Kpop but definitely not that much of an influence to BTS. Jimin literally states that Brian Puspos was his influence, and then had Brian choreography serendipity for Jimin, not even realizing that was whose song it was. Then Brian Puspos is legit one of the main dancers for 'Standing Next to You' and "Seven'. If any of this looks like Chris Brown it would be because Brian Puspos has choreographed for Chris Brown and others as well... so, I'd say that the boys go straight to the source and not the middleman in between. The middleman being Chris Brown, and the source being Brian Puspos.
She keeps talking about how now she can see the details well coz of the angle but most of the time the choreography is playing and girlie is just busy looking at the camera and talking about the most irrelevant stuff rather than reacting to the dance or the details .
BTS will always be my favourite dancers in kpop! 💜 I watched a performance video of Kim Woojin - What U Say. It's so good imo but I would like to know what a real dancer thinks! 😄💕
maybe it's because I'm not a regular viewers of this channel but I don't get why there's so much hate for this reaction😭 Yea it's not absolutely perfect but they rarely are when it's a first time reaction to something you aren't very familiar with. So what if she comments on things other than how good it is lol, she just wants to have conversations that the video reminds her of and there's no harm in that to me
Always love your reactions! Just letting you know that Studio Choom just dropped Sung Hanbin's Artist of the Month studio and it's absolutely insane! I'm excited to see how you would react to it and I'm curious of how dancers think of his performance. Thank you❤
They practice for custom malfunctions, dropping live mic's and retrieving them, shoe laces coming untied, removing things that have fallen on the floor so they don't slip. They even throw water battles across stage and catch them one handed V's very good are doing that.
You also mis a heck of lot as you're not watching properly you also don't pause but let it run while chatting I find it very frustrating so I'm giving up as it's all seems far too rushed trying to do 3 practices in one when you aren't really watching any of them properly.
Ok, hold up cause I have more thoughts! 6:40 lmao my dance teacher's didn't want us to wear foot thongs either for modern or contemporary, bc it ruins the process of developing calluses 😅Honestly, for this video, I think the boys were in bare feet for aesthetic purposes. They could've been rehearsing in bare feet, but I don't think the choreography really calls for it cause they don't really pointe their feet and their not jumping or turning like that, and they actually didn't perform this choreo in bare feet for every performance. 9:40 Sometimes I do worry that the "use of contemporary dance aesthetics in kpop" can feel gimmicky. Maybe similarly to the way kpop producers sometimes re-approriate a phrase, or less than a phrase, of a classical music piece for a hook in a song. I think execs do think about what types of dance are approchable, and in-house choreographers at major kpop labels probably mainly have a background in hip-hop and street dance styles (generalizing), so they're going to be taking elements and incorporating them. Which is fine, as long as ppl aren't doing so just bc certian movements look pretty, or bc another kpop artist did something that looked good on them they just want to copy that movement. ya know. At times, I've felt like when an artist has contem., modern, or ballet experience, and the label wants to do a performance to use it, using a choreographer that doesn't have experience in that has come at a detriment.
Ooooo this is an interesting discussion and not one I had thought of before re: feeling gimmicky cos sometimes it can feel that way without proper technique.
This is s a re-post right? I like hearing her talk for longer! I love getting into the nitty gritty, but I get that makes a longer video for people to sit down and watch.
Hi, i am back, Micah. Good reaction, ty. I adore them all. And i am a Jimin ult, Suga wrecker, OT7. But Jimin's vocals calm me he is an angel. All of them nailed it for me. So glad she liked all these songs too. During ON both Jimin and JK wore barefoot. Most likely because of the BS practice earlier. I love all the choreo's. =0] They slay every time for me. Can you react to Sung Hanbin Artist Of The Month with his own song called Bad Boy.. it's on studio choom youtube channel he perform amazing dance specifically TUTTING. thank you ❤
Is it really a reaction video if she’s just telling stories, not looking at the dance and also not pausing? A bit disappointing ngl, she is missing a lot of stuff.
@@Koko3op Oof.. no need to be sarcastic, I don’t usually watch your videos. There was more focus/comments on other dancers than the boys, hence I asked.
Entertaining reaction, but she’s never going to be a choreographer. Her attention to detail is weak, and she’s unable to see things outside her personal identity frames. Just within the first minute, she was making irrelevant references to gender differences and hilarious comparisons to that UK group so famous for their dancing, One Direction! So many attempts at reductive categorization instead of honest appreciation. 😂 She thinks BTS copied, when Bey herself is limited as a dancer (and I love her) and could never pull off anything this complex or stunning 😂 So many passive aggressive critical notes for a choreo that dancers and choreographers better than her have declared perfect 😂

She should watch the actual Black Swan video where Jimin does more contemporary dance moves.
Jimin's moves❤

The contemporary part of the dance it not really in this practice and that's jimin solo dance within the MV.
