Stellantis has operations in over 30 countries and sells cars in over 130. It is a company decade in the making, ultimately managing to assemble 14 of the most powerful and respected car brands under one umbrella.
The company has recently put forth a plan to spend $36 billion dollars on building out electric vehicle manufacturers around Europe. This includes three "Gigafactories" to facilitate the production of batteries. This plan also includes billions set aside for the development of infrastructures like charging stations and individual chargers across Europe.
In addition to their EV plan, Stellantis has stated that they have given each of their 14 brands a "10 Year Runway." This is to say each company has 10 years of funding to rebrand and refocus on the ultimate objective, 98% electrification of their production cars.
Some brands may have a harder time than others, companies like Chrysler, Lancia, and Alfa Romeo have struggled heavily over the last few years. Hopefully, this will give them the chance they need to really shine like they once did.

I think this stock looks attractive. You are paying 0.7x balance sheet for 10% plus ROE. Thats a return of 14%+ on cash invested. The integration of citroen/ peugot is important. The dividend is also attractive. Citroen sells in china. Jeep is a great brand too. The peugot family is one of frances richest families. Dont underestimate them

Lancia has been essentially a dead brand for a while. The fact they have only one active model shows that

Quality and dependability will determine the outcome. It takes a few years with a new product to see how well it's going to perform. So far I'm not impressed with the Fiat platform used for Jeep. Hopefully it will improve with electric vehicles. Time will tell.

Yeah it seems the first rollout of the rebrand is pretty rough. Some good stuff but we will see.

5:47 Graph shows US EV registrations in 2020 at 250k, but @Tesla alone sold 293k units in the US.

Yes, those cars we're sold, not all of them we're registered. Most of the ones not registered we're because they weren't delivered. Tesla still counts sales even if the car has not been delivered.

No one had a good year in 2020. Except tech and pharma. Boy did those pharma boys clean up this year and last. And those ev numbers are why china and europe are now facing an energy crisis. They didn't bother building the infrastructure before forging ahead with sales. On the other hand here in NA we haven't bothered to build the infrastructure as government forges ahead either so.....

How come you say that they don’t have a dividend? I’m getting a dollar per share over on Robinhood for my Stellantis holding? I’m new to investing. I’ve tried researching this online without luck. This was the biggest dividend I’ve ever received from stocks. Any info would be helpful. Thanks for making the video.

So as of the recording of this video (Oct 2010) Stellantis did not pay a dividend.
As of just a few days ago the company announced the instatement of a once-per-year dividend.
At the time they were not paying but now they are, by the looks of it a pretty sizable dividend as well, hope this trend continues in the future.
If you want to do some more research I would head over the SeekingAlpha, put in the company ticker STLA and you can find a lot more data such as Financials and dividend history.

How can you comment the recent price drop?

    • @dollars-and-sense
      @dollars-and-sense  2 года назад +1

It seems most of the big car companies dropped considerably the last few days, my guess is covid because it doesn't seem that there is any significant news.
Maybe a good time to buy more if you are already invested though.

Stellantis is going down with the ICE age. The CEO admits as much.

I forecast a Vega Pinto K Car nightmare of an EV company that could burn people alive, forever! Unreliable mfg+worse+even worse reliability+ brand new technology in EVs? Lmao 🤣 It's gonna be bad, real bad. Great investment potential for those betting against.
