I agree Flossy, a must have! Trust Flossy when he says "a must have" gives so much more value if you own any of the new samsung phones. For $99 sitting in your own movie theater or watching Netflix in a virtual cabin it's a GO!

I got one for Christmas and used it off and on all day with a Note 5. It never shut down from heat. The picture quality is not HD and is a little blurry in some cases, but over all it is crazy and well worth the $. Things will get better as we move forward. The new Assassins Creed 3D demo is freakin mind blowing!
rocking this out in town is crazy so many people asking so many questions sometimes it's hard to enjoy what I've got it there for and then you get the hottie coming over and it's all worth it

My Gear VR arrived today and was presented to "B" for my S6. It took about 10 mins tops to load all the apps and it was simple. First impressions were amazing and although you can see a slight grain due to the pixel count, it was money well spent. If you own a galaxy not or s6 / s6 edge, the Gear VR is exceptional fun and value.

Had the one for the S6 and it was dope. Except everything was practically a demo. I hope they have more full games and stuff now. Ill most likely be getting this for my Note 5. Its really cool that you can download 3D movie files and then play actual 3D movies in the theater. It looks like its popping out of the screen in the already 3D virtual environment.

hi, I just bought one today and have been struggling to find the plastic covers on my lenses. Could it be that the cheaper version doesn't have these covers? You're demoing the cheaper version..do you remember taking plastic covers off them? thanks.
got the note 5 since august just picked me up the head set though I had the original pc oculus rift since dk1 but decided to try out a mobile platform!
I got mine today and I downloaded Temple run just to see. Those dam apes scared the hell out of me. I snatched that thing off quick! Some of these games/apps creap me out, but it's so cool. You literally have to put it on to get the real feel of this thing. Netflix was a win. They need a roller coaster on it. Sick it is!

I see you have reviewed the GearVR and the Note 5 cases. Which case would you recommend for good day to day protection while still being easily removable for use in the GearVR? I am torn between my favorite (UAG) or one of the Spigens. My only concern with the UAG is the constant on and off hurting the phone.

My gear VR arrives tomorrow - I am so excited about Oculus Cinema. Bought mine on Amazon of £90 (always expensive UK). I'll let you know what I think. Samsung is so next right now. Love my Galaxy S6 too - so much better than my iPhone 5. I skipped 6s - it was time to change.

Is the experience any different if you use the S6 compared to the two bigger phones, Note 5 and S6 edge plus? I mean, the S6's screen have a higher PPI. Or is the difference minimal or undetectable?

will this work with a Note Edge or have you tried fitting it in?
using this with the note 5 for about 3 days and it's mad dope! there should be a button to bring up the VR menu instead of auto starting when inserting the phone. one more thing is, in the theater mode, there should be an option to make the screen more bigger and wide instead of the size of a TV.

I am contemplating about buying an NOTE EDGE or NOTE 4 tomorrow and trying to decide which one to buy since, they are exactly the same. A year later which one would you buy? I also am curious if a Note 4 case will work for a Note Edge since, they are pretty much the same phone except the curve.
