when I started listening to Weezer, Holiday, half of Green, and Fake Smiles were my first impression of the band. I could tell Holiday was from a different album, but it took me like 1~2 years to realize that this song wasn't off of Green and that it was actually a White bonus song with a more raw, Pinkerton-ish sound. I still can't figure out what happened or what went through my head to group 'em together as from the same album.
Everything about this comment is wack. _Holiday_ was the Blue Album song you heard first? You listened to half of green before anything else? You thought this sounded like a Green Album track? For potentially 2 years?
@@TheRenegade... @Renegade yeah, pretty much. idk what made me choose those songs in particular. Holiday might have been cause it has the same name as that one Green Day song, but idk about the Green tracks and the White bonus track. and as to them sounding from the same album, think this might have happened cause i had put them in a playlist that i would just let it play with shuffle on (cause free spotify only lets you play in shuffle) whenever i was playing a game. so i never really got to listen to them back to back to notice the difference, nor was i paying attention to do it so in the first place, hence them sounding alike, i guess. i have all these sort of wack memories with songs during that period of time, since i was getting more into music, but not enough to actually get enganged in them, and notice all the quirks. strangely enough, they were most about weezer.
I think Friend of a friend was a stronger track and should have been the choice for the split vinyl single with Wavves over this tune. These bonus songs seem to have been outtakes recorded during their white album sessions. To me though if this particular song had more of a raw/recorded live demo feel to it, I can hear it in that context fitting right in amongst all those Maladroit and Make believe era demos that didn't make the cut for those releases. And as much as I dig the off the wall for Weezer piano based sound of the original Jacked up, the bonus remix edition has totally grown on me. I'm still partial to the original Lp version but the remix version somehow puts me in the mind set of being younger again and trying to Mac with a girl at a club. Especially when the female vocals kick in! It truly makes me feel like I wish I'd be grinding up on some dance floor with a Paris Hilton type in some trendy Vegas dance club! Overall the bonus tracks are great though!
Friend of a Friend to me was White album worthy :( Wish they had included it. It sounds like a Pinkerton meets Green tune. Great song. This track is ok. The others are decent but FOAF is great Weezer.
I keep on seeing the annoying comment on every non-album track "They should've replaced Thank God For Girls with this one," well in this case I agree (and I love TGFG)
Thanks! Love it! You've been writing the songs in my head, only with better melodies. Thanks for doing that for many of us, as I'm too busy with 22 other projects (finishing books, poems, a sci do novel, supervising broken chairs, vetting the room better for gf, dos for stud. loans etc. ). Great song!
Hah , Sorry, you had me fooled for a few seconds, but I did really figure it could be either real, or not, and it wouldn't matter much, as we all get to say our thoughts. Still, I like celebrating such a well written song. Take care!
"I would rather see you flip me off than give me fake smiles" true
I love this more raw sounding music, it's why Pinkerton is my favoruite album. White is in my top three Weezer albums
im guessing along with blue and Pinkerton
I mean, we all know it's true but it feels bad to say it over and over.
FSANL is an unreleased Pinkerton song
i don't think the song is from Pinkerton, I think it's just the cover
It is but it's rerecorded
This has to be one of their most underrated songs
You have no idea
That crunchy guitar is heavenly
This really reminds me of some of the older weezer stuff, like the blue album or pinkerton
I hope they release Helter Skelter. I can't believe that didn't make it to the White Album.
Wrong White Album...
Really like this song. It captures very well Weezer's classic bittersweet sound
This is beautiful... I have no words...
The White Album was great, but it would have been even better with this and Friend of a Friend on it.
Trueeeeeeeeee
I'm literally complaining rn about the exact thing
How about Prom Night and Last Days of Summer
@@TheRenegade... The Last Days of Summer is too good, it would have been one of the best on the album.
@@BillyCobbOfficial I was not expecting Billy Cobb to reply to me
I like this way more than Thank God For Girls. Shame this didn't end up on the album. :/
it is on the album for the deluxe edition
Yea I really like this one more than thank god for girls I mean it's good but I like this one more.
The fact it was the first single made me think like "Weezer what did you do?"
Another classic
Weezer makes my day
wish it was on the album, is awesome
This actually sounds like old weezer!
now this is the weezer i know and love
THANKS AGAIN WEEZER!
I’m currently writing a story using Weezer songs to help tell the story and this song is the intro/chapter 1.
Well this is awesome
Man Weezer still kills it years later

Nervous laughter excellent weezer toon

Brandon Lopez its originally from pinkerton . re recorded for the white album . then once again cut😂
+Jacob Bastian

Long live Weezer! Awesome song!
simply awesome
Amazing yet again! Sounds sorta like the rentals old stuff ;P
i love it!!!!
Weezer最高
should've been on the normal edition tbh, one of the better songs on the record
i cant believe song from pinkerton are still coming out!
Jacob Bastian Nah, they just used some pinkerton inspired artwork for the single. This was recorded during white
warriorservant they said it was an unrecorded song wrote durring pinkerton?
warriorservant that they brought back for white but ended up being a bside
Jacob Bastian oh cool
Pretty Good!
I keep on seeing the annoying comment on every non-album track "They should've replaced Thank God For Girls with this one," well in this case I agree (and I love TGFG)
I think this song is better than wind in our sail
They should have replaced Jacked Up with this.
Oh yes my body is ready
What……?
ooooo, its good!
no matter who you are you can identify with this song
How have I never seen this
The title is me at any social gathering.

You do realize I'm not the real Rivers, right?

Thanks =w=
I hear the pinkerton, but the last chorus honestly reminds me of Pork and Beans
My favorite of the 3, friend of a friend is #2... I love the original jacked up so much I can't like the remix lol
thats why its on the deluxe tho haha
yeah i mean its okay, im fine with it on the deluxe.. wasn't expecting it but it fits
This song is so true. Probably because it's from the Pinkerton era. I like Friend of a Friend more though.
Nerdvana you got proof on that?
Maybe they think that because the picture used for the release of this b-side is the pinkerton cover with a skeleton dude drawn in the sky.
ayeeeee
the good kinda aye
I love Weezer
god damn...
Alyers you half japanese girls
why didnt i see that coming??
alyers oh the redhead said you shred the celo
Supreme West and I’m jello
the vocals on these two new songs are a bit off, they seem a bit demo quality, other than that, good bsides.
This one is probably the highest form of demo. Potentially intended for mastering, but never done.
nice pun! 😄 thats what i love bout them!! 👐
Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter is an unreleased Pinkerton song. look up their instagram
Wrong, Joshey The single cover is a riff on pinkerton, but that isnt related to the song
They're going for their old Blue and Pinkterton sound
Authoritah!
This song sounds like a mix between the green ablum and Pinkerton
Id rather you tell me the world is flat than
to place me on my back
running me in spheres
Has a Pinkerton vibe
I love it! =w=
Will there be a Black Album? :D
Yes! But hopefully along the lines of Maladroit and not Raditude :/
@@monstermash7465 I have some bad news...
@@billiegrame6136 :(
Shouldve been on the album.
👐🏻👐🏼👐🏽👐🏾👐🏿
What beach did they take that picture at?
Bearhands Joe probably the one next to santa monica to the left
"Tacos..."
If the blue album and Pinkerton had a baby.
özlemişim müziğinizi..........
Sounds like Rivers got out his EML 101 again :)
Three words, Pavement Beach Boys.
Make Weezer Great Again
dis song is gud :(
They are great again. Did you listen to EWBAITE and the white album!?
Eli W People are really hating on the new song lol
the title sounds very FOB-like
ew no
It does!
Unkn0wnZ I don't know if you heard the news, but Weezer's lawyers told them to change the title of the song to avoid being sued by FOB
if your going there then I could argue that it sounds more like the name of a Panic at the Disco song.
More panic! Not wordy enough for fob
Ini baru =w=
VanWeezer coming soon :D
Guess what, it’s January 2021 and Ok Human comes out this month
crunchy girls and pop rock boys
FUNKe
I like the vocals and the raw sound, but the lyrics, god no :D
