interesting (or maybe not) that you can only control the lights in groups of three, but the built in chase can change the color in the LEDs individually... hopefully you will be able to control the LEDs singularly in the future.
Totally, they have their own feature each other, Govee’s software, Lumary’s quality and size, ASAHOM’s price, it depends on what kind of consumer you are.
Exactly. It can be confusing seeing so many contenders but I was trying to highlight the differences they each manufacturer brings. You really can't go wrong with any of them at the end of the day.
You need to finish the peaks. The preset scenes look like stuff in the tuya app. These appear to be not individually addressable. They are in groups of 3
Great review! Is it possible to use these lights as just downlights and not have them all on at the same time? Meaning I just want to use the light around my peeks during non-holiday times. I understand they work as 3 together but if I can space them correctly, I could maybe just turn the 3 near the top of my peeks. Can you also tell me if the Govee are capable of what I am asking since you can control them 1 light at a time.
@@dontburnthehousedownvideos Sorry, one last question, I promise. Do both the Pro and regular Govee lights have the option of turning certain lights off one at a time?
The Govees do what you're describing very well, and fairly easy (I have the regular, not the pro). I have it set for the corners to light like everyday landscape lighting when not in holiday mode.
Kinda curious on how these are working for you, I bought 3 sets for my house and within a month 8 out of 15 strands had flickering issues, like it mainly did it during foggy or real muggy days, maybe I just was the lucky one that got 3 bad sets, or maybe it’s the Oklahoma climate. I honestly don’t think mine was sealed well as the clear plastic tops was falling off of these.
I really wish I had better luck with mine, maybe that was a defective lot, but either way I got my refund and got the Govee pro 200 ft and they are awesome!
They look nice, but only being able to address 3 lights at a time really sucks.. I like the lights themselves on this one but I really like the programmability of the Govee better.
Great video but BOO that ypu can only change 3 lights at a time and not individually and have a solid run such as red, green, red, green or even red, white, blue. Thanks for helping me save my money and not be disappointed. I think Govee allows individual bulb colors??
The prices seem to fluctuate dramatically day to day with coupons, savings, etc. Check out my other videos for Asahom and Govee Lights. I know the Asahom ones are currently on sale for $199 for 100 feet. They're almost identical to Govee. amzn.to/3tzTQyf
And another video and more confusion :(. Your Govee installation was first video I saw of yours , then watched Asahom , NOW Lumary. I agree these Lumary look like nicer lights, etc. but the Govee has more features app. So ugh I’m stifled as to what to get :(. Again after 3 of your install videos and tryouts of 3 systems , which would you put on YOUR home knowing all you know now ? Just want to know that if I come to an end of a string, I can use another strand of any size they sell and they will work perfectly together ? Lastly , if I have an outlet in my attic, I can plug in power there, will I need to run the switch down within reach inside the house ?
My personal preference is Govee. They have the best ecosystem and if you want to add different lights in the future (like the standard bulbs or flood lights) they seem to interact more fluidly together. Each brand has their perks which is what I was trying to highlight. But for me, it's Govee.
I like Lumary but they drop the ball when they went with 3 individual LED, it should be every single individual LED like govee.. Also Lumary software need a lot of work…
Lumary's software is behind Govee with regards to features but it has less of a learning curve. Fewer features are sometimes welcome for folks not looking to be overwhelmed.
@@dontburnthehousedownvideosI could disagree more. Most users are looking for tones of presets and Govee has that. This is limited and more complex at the same time
No recommended at all after one 1 of purchase lights start flickering and change color by itself and you he able to change again which makes it look unsynchronized.
It's almost like, when I test a new product, I compare it to the previous products I've tested, and comment on how they compare to each other. Strange concept, isn't it?

so if you have a 100' strand what if you only have 30' of soffit before you move to an unconnected piece of the house?
How long is the extension cord? Also can you purchase another one if needed?
Any idea how you "assign" a scene to the timer function?
I am having troubles with this, too.

The answer is yes to both. However, it's much easier on the Govee's as they allow you to control individual lights in their "advanced DIY" settings.

I'm not sure about the pro as I've never played with them. But I can't imagine they would remove the feature.

Lumary ftw

So far so good! They're working well, even now when it's -15.

Govee does allow you to select individual bulbs in their advanced settings. It's not a simple process but it is possible.
how can i get a program like this i want free toys
$200 for 65ft is super expensive... there was a $250 for 100ft for govee (normally $300).

Tbh this is a cash grab probably costs the no more then $20, govee is pricey but at least you get what you paid for in product and software

@@dontburnthehousedownvideosif you're putting lights up like this you don't want basic. If you were basic you wouldn't be doing this
