Thanks for the heads up and test. These have been on the shelf for a while here. Now I own one and like it a lot. At work and everywhere. Fits comfortably in your pocket. Peeps here dont know yet I guess. Ill be curiously watching to see if people start buying them over the others
Yeah I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma, and I looked for sometime for orange knife,no where to be found, one day went to Walmart was looking at other knifes under a pile of cheaper knife's the orange one was on bottom,so got it, have no clue how many they actually got in that time. But will check again to see if they restock sometime. Thanks 8:25 am Monday 11-11-24 CST.
They just finished a drop of the orange ones online, I went on the app and they were in stock and I managed to snag one. I’m not sure if that means they are done, but it will be cool to get both and test them out together.
Thanks, I like the cheap, but good knives as I tend to lose them. I'll head to Walmart tomorrow to see if I can get a couple of these. Thanks for the info and review.
@@daveb8457 "cheap" implys low quality, for people like you. "Inexpensive" would mean sophisticated cost reduction programs by professionals resulting in an improved product, but manufactured at a lower cost. You need to work on your vocabulary!
A couple of these Ozark Trail knives offer pretty good components and build quality for a very affordable price. The now famous $10 orange knife with D2 steel, ball bearings, and an axis lock is a good performer for everyday carry. The new white $5 version doesn’t have D2 steel or full metal liners, but it is light weight, the stainless steel blade is setting on bearings, and it includes an axis lock. Both knives can be sharpened easily to a razor sharp, paper slicing edge. Neither are a Benchmade, but that knife company could learn a thing or two from these Ozark Trail knives. So, these new Ozark Trail knives are a pretty good value at a common man price. Thanks to Cumberland Outdoorsman for his review. -Tennessee Smoky
The Ozark Trail knife selection at my local Walmart is slim to none. At one time they had a whole display case full of them. Now there might be one or two of them in the case.
@@CumberlandOutdoorsman Yes just saw them restocking ours yesterday while I was grabbing a few. They had a little multi tool in there as well. I grabbed the green one you showed. I'll be watching for the video on that one.
The second run of the access lock D2 Ozark Trail that the Benchmade guys are getting a hardon over Hit the store here in southern Wisconsin November 22nd the white stainless steel bladed version we're the only knives missing out of the Christmas display in my local store they are totally cleaned out
Guys just stopped by Walmart on the way home from work and got this knife and the black tanto folder. Both nice and paper cutting sharp, I'd say get the tanto as well it is slick in person even if tour not a tanto fan just get it. Alot of people pay more than $5 for coffee. I'm gonna get more to give as gifts as well and get another for myself to keep in the car
Hey Cumberland Outdoorsman…. Moving into hunting season so how about a video on the essentials that every outdoorsman should carry with them anytime the venture into the woods? I have several friends who pretty much go out on a day hunt and do not really take any essential items with them. When I ask about their preparedness for an outdoors emergency, most say they just never thought about it. They are basically carry whatever is in their pockets and depending on that to get them through whatever comes up. I’d be curious about your recommendations on what to include in a hunting pack or haversack. Enjoying the content on your channel greatly. - Tennessee Smoky
I have the Tanto OzT in Green. I got it like 3 weeks ago When i was frantically searching for the Orange Wugout its a Damn good knife for 7 bucks. And i Did get the Orange Ozt I Edc the Tanto Flick on it is Crazy. Now i Must got get that White Storm Trooper Knife. Hitting the app and hitting my 3 local walmarts 😅😅
Have you checked out the $3 Mora clone at Walmart? It isn’t an OT. They have a black handle with a black sheath and you can find them in a box on the shelf where the filet knives are. Pretty good knife for $3.
OK, That's great news. Like I said I wasn't sure if they'd bring it back. I'll be on the lookout for it. Would be cool to see the ranger green version.
Not at my local Walmart. They maybe have one or two Ozark Trail knives. And if you go to the Walmart website, you will see that some of the better Ozark Trail knives you can't get because it says 'pick-up not available or shipping not available and not in stock.'.
Does anyone have a Walmart link to this knife? I previously found the link to the D2 steel Orange version but not this white stainless version. Thanks.
It’s not on the website, I was in a Walmart that didn’t have the display and even the employees couldn’t find it on the website. I could not find it on the website. It’s an in store only.
Good question. If you take a small flashlight and look between the blade and liner where it pivots you can see the bearings. Washers or bushings look very different.
I said I thought they would discontinue it, but I just posted a video in which I updated my opinion because right after that I was able to buy some on the Walmart website. I still cannot find them in any stores, and I noticed that the newest version in white is currently sold out.
Try doing the sharpness test from the edge of the paper- I think most knives can cut their way out of the middle of a sheet of paper-good informative vid tho!
I'll keep that in mind in the next knife video. After reading your comment I grabbed the same Ozark Trail knife that's in the video and proceeded to cut ribbon after ribbon from the edge of the paper as you stated. No problem.😊
Didn't realize that China had an Ozark Trail. They are on ebay for 6x the original price. People would be absolute fools to pay that for one. I recommend paying good money for truly American made knife with proven steels, even if it's expensive. Support the small businesses.
I used to respect Walmart and identify with it, as an American company. Then they put thousands of small people out of business, sent our money off shore, replaced their employees with robots, and get paid by customers checking themselves out while their registers collect cobwebs.
In my opinion, the D2 Classic is waaaaaay more knife than many others that cost much more. Some of the features include a D2 blade, pivot bearings (not washers like in my Bugout), full length steel liners, dual spring axis lock, and a much more comfortable handful when using it for most tasks.
@CumberlandOutdoorsman your right it's a great knife for 10$. I guess all the hype about them had my expectations to high when I finally got my hands on one I was expecting to much. I don't think Benchmade has anything to worry about tho.
Ok so Is the orange knife good, yes but only because its $10. On ebay they are about $25. Worth it? NO! You can find better knives for $25. As for the "stormtrooper" model yes they are on ebay for about $20. I would also pass on it for that price. And unfortunately the white one is just about as hard to find as the orange one was. So good luck finding one for $5.
I guess if you really want something then you can justify buying it, but if you can find it much cheaper go for it. If your Walmart doesn't have them, and you want one, I would check other Walmart locations. They should be there within a few days.
Not on shelves in 5 local suburban Philadelphia stores. I still hate the policies at Walmart that excludes knives and guns from their local stores. MAGA
The white one is too small. Have it. Dont love it. Fhe green liner lock is much better. Slightly heavier due to full steel liners and more ergonomic with the flipper which should be on the axis lock one. The fixed blade blue handle one is a total win other than the belt clip. Its trash. Glue it in place or use it as a neck knife.
Thanks for the heads up and test.

Bought all 5 at my local Walmart when they came out. Saving a few for my grandsons when they're a bit older

The Ozark Trail knife selection at my local Walmart is slim to none. At one time they had a whole display case full of them. Now there might be one or two of them in the case.
