- This my first upload of a Whitney Houston video since her passing out... Miss her voice a Lot! I know this performance is already on RUclips, but I found only videos with Lower quality and others with many speaking parts, so I decided to select Just Whitney singing, even if it was a Rehearsal, this sounds so perfect and delicate to me... On the actual performance she did put more strenght to it, but I still love this one anyway! - 1987.

I think Whitney’s voice is stunning. Hold me is one of my favourite Whitney’s song and this performance is so “natural”. What a terribile lost... Miss her so much!

I want you to know you keep my beloved WHITNEY alive... when you and all the others up-loaders add videos of her SHEER BRILLIANCE!!! The racy controversial stuff is okay ... but this is what will last forever ! Her voice TRUMPS ALL HER SHORTCOMINGS!! So thank you I’m so grateful to had seen this and beyond blessed to hear it!
There are some great american singers that are Legendary in the US in their own right, but here in Europe, at least in the country where I live, people just don't happen listen to them that much, and many others don't even know about (for exemple I've never ever heard an Aretha Franklin song on the radio in my country, and most of the young population doesn't even know who she was, even though her musical legacy is huge as well as her influence in American music, which of course I recognize and value).
However, Whitney Houston's singing is on another scale, its Legendary beyond the american culture, I may guess on a Worldwide level, at least here, even younger people recognize her voice, some her memorable hit songs still pass on the radios as on a regular basis, young people on talent shows still name Whitney as a ultimate vocal reference...
So it is my pleasure to keep on listening and sharing videos from great music, including Whitney's singing, of course, I always praised the sheer beauty of her vocal tone and the imense creativy of her singing, and she will always be one of my favourite singers ever!

"Hold Me" was originally recorded by Diana Ross with the title "In Your Arms" for her album " Silk Electric " ( 1982) .
In the choirs of Diana Ross versione, there was Cissy Houston, the mother of Whitney .
"Hold Me" , was written by Michael Masser and Linda Creed, while the production was overseen by Masser who used one of his earlier arrangements that he had produced for "In Your Arms", on the duet.
"Hold Me" is a ballad duet performed by American singers Teddy Pendergrass and Whitney Houston from the former's eight studio album Love Language (1984).
"Hold Me" was Houston's first ever single of her career and was later included in Houston's 1985 self-titled debut album.
