Oh you were correct - the red-suited image of Santa that has been observed for the last100+ years IS attributed to Coca-Cola. :)

My mother had a nifty wee device- a sort of spoon that had two perforated bowls on a spring ,that could be snapped together with some tea inside and used to infuse a cup of tea ie basically a reusable metal tea bag !

One thing Laurence gets wrong in this video is “Almond Joy’s got nuts. Mound’s don’t “

Not sure how to interpret your comment. Almond Joy does have nuts (coated w/chocolate, but sitting on top of the coconut filling); and Mounds just coconut. But wait a minute: cocoNUT. Am I missing something?

The "Almond joy's got nut, Mounds don't" comes from a tv commercial... it's a slogan

@@lilahmoffett4367 Right. I wasn't referring to this slogan. Just it's the fact of what Almold Joy and Mounds are comprised of.

Because "some times you feel like a nut, some times you don't".

Almond Joy dark chocolate has almonds. Its twin candy, Bounty, has coconut. Mars is the 4th largest privately held company in the US. Owned by the Mars family. It started in 1911 when Ethel Mars started selling candy wholesale. In 1923 they intruduced the Milky Way bar and later the Snickers and Three Musketers bars. Forrest Mars started Mars Limited in the UK in 1932. It is now known as Mars Food UK Limited. Some brands were first sold in the UK such as Starburst (Opal Fruits) and Skittles and later introduced in the US.

The poppy makes sense in both regions. Memorial Day came in alittle later and its a day to remember our Veterans and Fallen or nissing soilders. Which is why we switched to wearing them for Memorial day. I usually wear one on Veterans day too.

I love my Irish breakfast tea. Pure black tea, no fufu crap in it.

I'm not sure about Texas, but Heinz baked beans are the only ones I eat. They certainly have them here in the states. I hope they sell them in Texas, although I don't know why they wouldn't. Also, you do your videos your way. I've loved lost in the pond for many years, but I am enjoying your content because of your own personality. The same with the Beasleys ☺

Don't be surprised if you change your views on tea once you are in Texas... iced sweet tea is a staple here :)
