    Thank you for all the help. We figured it out. It was a wire.

    I am having really hard time to find a signal wire ( middle wire) for my Reebok treadmill jet model RVJF-10721BK-120

    The video is great. Unfortunately, the instructions on removing the grommets did not work for me at all. The one in the upright fell to pieces and then I realized removing it would do no good because it goes all the way up the upright. The one in the board I tried to get out with pliers and everything else i could find. Maybe the grommet release is underneath and i need to try pliers beneath. I am not replacing the wire. I just want to disconnect the uprights from the bottom of the treadmill to transport the treadmill to another room. Much harder than expected. That's for sure with these damn grommets.
    Update - I bought strain relief pliers. Tried and tried to pull up from near the electronics board. It wasn't working. Then I pushed it the other way and it popped out. My grommet was not facing the same way as this video led me to believe. What a headache, but glad I finally got the wire free.

    I am hoping this solves the issue on my brand new 14i treadmill. It will not incline and I have the harness and ground wire replacement being sent sometime

      UPDATE: I’ll comment back on here in case anyone runs into the same issue, this did NOT solve my issue. Unfortunately.. was told now that it is the incline motor that needs replaced. Again will update here in case anyone else in the future runs into same issue

    Any idea how I can do this when the treadmill wont't incline? I am changing the wire harness to supposedly fix the incline problem but since it won't incline, I cannot access the lower wire harness and ground wire since the machine won't lift and is blocking the way.

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  7 лет назад

      This does make it a bit more difficult. i would tip the treadmill on to its side. remove the storage latch tube and then remove the incline motor bolt from one end of the incline motor. this will allow the deck to pivot out of the way.

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  3 года назад

      @@rpatel2395 I don't have a video on this. An alternative method would also be to remove the upright From the base. This is usually step 2 or three of assembly. the upright is usually held by 4 bolts and with the console assembly removed should come off easily.

    My treadmill console does not match the speed of my belt. For example; when I press the 3 (mph) on my console the screen reads 4.8mph but the belt only goes about 2mph. It’s the same if I use the manual up and down speed buttons. Or when I want to run at about 5.5mph I will have to set the speed on the console at about 8.2mph to get the belt to go about 5.5mph. My question is will replacing this wire like in the video fix this problem? I do not want to spend the money to replace the wire if it will not actually fix this problem. I also want to add that I do not move my treadmill. I do not have a pet that chewed the wire nor have I done anything with the wire to damage it. It started when I was walking on it one day and wondered what the “settings” button does and pushed it. Immediately after I pushed it the treadmill stopped and when I took the key out and put it back in to start again that is when the belt/console/display problems started. Can anyone help?

      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  2 года назад +1

      It sounds to me like you may have changed the settings of the treadmill to operate in metric units (Kilometers per hour) instead of Imperial (miles per hour). 3 MPH is 4.8 KPH. Check your units of measurement settings first. Good luck.

    What if you need to replace a damaged connector of the CONSOLE wire harness. Seems that the console wire harness is soldered on the other end so you can buy a replacement console wire harness. I would like to replace just the connector and punch the wires in place. Any chance you know where I can find the right connector (male connector I believe). I see its an AMP connector but I don't have the part #.

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  5 лет назад

      The manufacturer does not service the connectors parts separately. If the warranty or extended warranty is in effect you can get a replacement console sent under warranty if it was a manufacturer defect. If not under warranty you would need to purchase the console to get these parts from the manufacturer. You may find the connectors and punch down tools from electronics supply stores if you want to try to repair the unit yourself.

    Thank you. So now we have another issue. There's a red light turned on in the motor. So I think it's works. But is there anything else I can check to c why it's not running. Its cuz the panel came off as we were moving

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  7 лет назад +1

      Does the console light up when the led is on in the motor area and the key is on the console? If not you are still likely dealing with a wire harness issue (RED wire). If the console works but the belt just does not operate. see what the led does when you push the start button. The led should begin blinking. If it does not then there still may be an issue with the wire harness (BLUE wire)

    It appears as if the "short" is in the wire harness. If I wiggle it, the treadmill goes off then on. Can I eliminate the harness and connect each wire from the motor side to the corresponding wire on the monitor side?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  2 года назад

      Unfortunately, no. The motor is not directly driven through the console. The console sends a PWM signal to the lower control board(controller) through the blue wire in the harness. The controller then interprets the signal and sends the appropriate voltage to the motor for the indicated speed. You may be able to repair the wire harness instead of replacing it, if you find damage to the wire.

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp

      We will be making fewer new assembly videos. Instead we will be encouraging assemblers to take advantage of the Built app. That being said the assembly for the larger screen version is the same and can be viewed here: ruclips.net/video/RJWaiXVg9NM/видео.html

    Do you have a video on how to put the wires back on harness. Or do u need to buy new?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  7 лет назад +1

      It is difficult to put the wires back into the connectors on the harness and have them hold properly. The harnesses are initially made with a special punch down tool. You can try to reattach the wires by pushing them into the connectors with a small flat screwdriver or you can get the proper tool. In most cases it is probably easier and more cost effective to replace the wire.

    What does purple wire do in the upright wire on a Proform 505 cst?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  5 лет назад

      The purple wire relays the signal from the incline sensor to the console.

    How do you get that grommet out of the bottom of the support beam?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  4 года назад

      The grommet has little tabs that can be pushed in to release it. Unfortunately these tabs are not accessible because they are on the inside of the upright. Therefore when trying to dislodge the grommet from the upright, it requires a lot of prying and force. Usually it ends up destroying the grommet.

    How can I trouble shoot?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  7 лет назад

      Visually Inspect the wires for damage. if the wires pass a visual inspection then you can use a voltage multimeter to check for continuity along the wire. you can also look for the power to the console you should measure 9-12 VDC between the red and black wires in the harness. If no voltage is present replace the wire. If you have voltage to the console and it does not light replace the console.

  • @poonchis04
    @poonchis04 7 лет назад

    No it don't do nothing. Just a little red light on in the motor.

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  7 лет назад

      you likely are not getting power to the console. If the control panel was separated from the treadmill you likely have some damaged wires in that wire harness and possibly in the console itself.
