Thanks for incomp. There's a reality to overmatch, though. During the near annihilation of Taffy 3 in 1944, the CVEs were mistaken Fleet CVs and DDs for Cruisers by the IJN fleet. The thin hulls saved some of those ships because BB AP wouldn't detonate before they had passed through both sides of the hull (unless it hits something else) even below the water line. 14", 16" or 18" holes through both sides of your ship below water line might be a problem🤔, but not as much as a detonation.

I feel like I wasted my steel with this ship, because I was promised a tier 10 Repulse, and that's not what I got. My faults with it ultimately lie with the guns: not only are they inconsistent (which is odd, because their dispersion is statistically identical; vertical dispersion is better on Repulse by a few metres, and apparently that's enough to make a visible difference), but they lack range. Part of the reason Repulse works so well even in tier 8 games is because it has enough base range to serve as a 2nd line ship or even play from the backline with the spotter up, and at those distances, the unwieldy nature of the ship is largely negated, at the expense of your shells taking 5-10 business days to hit their target. Incomparable also feels as unwieldy as a GK with that 1km turning radius, but with the ship being longer than my home street, I guess that comes with the territory. The superheal also doesn't really gel well with the ship and its intended playstyle; if it had Repulse's or Vanguard's heal, the ship would be a lot more comfortable to play. Subs and CVs have very little to do with the passive meta, it's all down to ship design. I say this because when T8/9 is top tier, you can push, you can brawl, the games are a lot less passive and the team playing passively tends to lose. It's why when I am playing higher tiers, I tend to prefer T8, and likely why when the MM plays nice Massa can play so well.
I do agree with you that this ship should play out like a stealth assassin. Also if you do commit on a flank the low hp and bad armour can be very punishing so it is a balance trade-off. Not to mention we still have shot-gunning :P.
I really think a Bungo style spotter is the answer for Shikashima and Incomparable. Combine that spotter with a slightly longer reload time and just slightly better dispersion, and I think that is the right balance. Gives the player a limited amount of “more reliable” shots with slightly better overall shot reliability but with slightly reduced DPM.
That’s what the Satsuma has with the funny button. But the Shiki and Incomp don’t need to be rebalanced. These are the ships, they already smack enough, the inconsistency is just part of them.
They should implement a system that boosts accuracy vs broadsides. The more broadside your target is to you the better boost you get. Then you get normal dispersion at certain angles and increased dispersion vs well angled targets. Kind of makes sense that it gets harder for the artillery plotters to get a good estimation on angled targets vs broadside in case you want a some sort of IRL reasoning for such a system. I dunno, could be one way to they to alleviate the issue of too consistent guns ruining everyone's time. I mean if you mess up and is flat broadside it should hurt. If you manage to position better you get rewarded by getting protection from said consostent guns.
With overmatch and incredible pen it makes sense that slightly angled ships would take more damage than broadside. You have more material to push through so you're far less likely to get overpens. Probably want to aim for ships that a slightly angling to you. Just like how the skinny DDs are sometimes safer broadside as everything skips through them for overpens.
I have had fun with this ship in the current brawls. 5x5 is a good size for a battle for the Incomparable. Did not have fun in random battles, but I don't have fun in random battles anyway.
Super ships will also eat your credits alive Satsuma will barely generate money in games while Shikishima will. I've had clan members send tickets about the superships to WG.
Skill issue. Superships aren’t meant to be spammed in randoms. The thought of some sweaty dude spending their time putting in tickets over this gives me great satisfaction
Patrie is such a weird ship. Against battleships you always get LESS DAMAGE when full broadside. Only thing that deals massive damage to it, are italian SAP.
when i first learnt of this ship, i'd fell in love with it, but over time... well, nah, it's an illusion, 508 hits hard, but well, but six guns, and well, the thing is so big but so squishy, and i'd end up going for the bourgougne than the incomparable in the end, i hate that kind of thing, it's a battleship, but it's so squishy that the conquer's side seems as hard as a russian bow armor, and well, i'm glad i'd go for the bourgougne, much better than this, maybe it's my playstyle, but i like bbs with a little more armor, not to german level, but at least 32 armour so you can somewhat tank a little for the team
In one of my first matches with the ship, I got to oneshot a full HP Petro at 17-18km.. The dispersion of that one shot was so on point that I did like 3-4 cits and I think if petro had a larger HP pool i could have landed even more cits :D
So? Incomparable is fun as hell. I play her as a fast secondary and torpedo run-up-and-smash-em-in-the-face brawler, just have to keep her out of the fray until it’s GO TIME and you get those can’t-miss shots.
@@ΔημήτριοςΠράπας dude, I don’t give a flip about “win-rate” and other “stats”. I’m not in it to “win”, I’m in it to have fun! Believe an old beta tester, it’s only worth playing this game for fun, and has no other meaning, unless you’re a “professional”, like the “King of the Sea” teams.
I'm not sure if you are taking into account the absolutely massive shells when saying you don't like doing more damage to angled than broadside ships. Given the size of the sheels won't they do more damage and have higher chance of cits etc when they have further to travel through the ship? From the edge they have say 20 meter width of ship, for arguments sake, but angled that distance becomes 50 to 100 meters so have longer to arm and more length of cit to hit. I'm just curious is all.
No idea why but i just prefer the Montana she just works for me as far as consistency on the guns and yeah they been flooding the game with either 457's and larger caliber guns so armor becoming more meaningless and you can't really push in due to subs so yeah its not as fun as it used to be

It's also fast as f*ck and has troll armour. Plus reload booster if you need to shoot something before it comes out of broadside.
I feel like WG's accuracy cone really needs to make close range ~10km deadly accurate, with things at extreme range taking random potshots as is. I suppose fuse timing is a big issue as well with these huge guns, maybe that's the thign they were going for. Positioning should trump everything. If you drop in on a broadside ship at 5-10km you deserve to get your damage in.
In-COMP-rah-bull. Are you right about the weaknesses of this ship? HELL YES, IN SPADES. But she's a delight in co-op; all her weaknesses are mitigated and the power of the gimmicks is magnified. It's what I got her for.
the thing is, when wows was new, it had some ships and a new game mechanic. those were the selling points and the ships were designed around those game mechanics. Its the same with all games. let it be video games or board games. once the core mechanics are fully exploited, the gimmicks arise and thats when the game declines rapidly. for boardgames (or better: tabletop games) new rulesets (or: a new edition) will be released so the overall game is more streamlined, organized and balanced. this ist what wows needs imho. a wows 2.0 where all core mechanics are reworked, all tech tree ships are rebalanced to each other and all premium ships are rebalanced as well.
I bought Incomparable as soon as it was released, but I have mixed feelings about it. She was built on the idea of stealth, but the never-ending spotting we have makes it difficult to pull off plays with this ship. Also, only the first charge of superheal adds value to your ship, the rest are just normal heals or that's what they feel like. St. Vincent is straight up significantly better.
6 gun Battleship: Exists. Potat: Why are my shells not converging into a single pixel? Yes, I am still mad, that you count my beloved Georgia among those "inconsistent" 6 gun ships. And if Incomp was really accurate with that size of shell and alpha damage you would also loose your mind because it´s so OP. No pleasing this man.
He acknowledges that. His point is if overmuch wasn't a thing then these 6 gun ships could be made more accurate. I swear some of you hate on the few players actively trying to make the game better.
Imagine you are sitting in your yami and get pushed by a desmoines with much higher dpm he angels and you have no chance..without overmatch bb will more likely sit in the back and never push up
Love the reviews. Don't let the RUclips comments make you feel bad about having opinions based on your personal experience with these ships! If you really hate the ships, feel free to not play them in the future!
I found it much more accurate by using only the front guns. When using all of her guns at the same time, the rear turret dispersion is disgusting. 9:20 perfect example
Have you played the Munchen? I got it from a random crate and I've found it's pretty good at it's tier. Good range and refire rate, fast, maneuverable.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that Zao didn't really turn out much (if at all) and you just shot too high. Not saying that the Incomparable is not inconsistent, but I think that one volley was on you...
Incomparable is not for me either but it doesn't get much more accurate than this, at least on paper. Third best horizontal dispersion, ninth best vertical dispersion of all T10 BB's at 20 kms, and 2.0 sigma. You really can't ask for more.
He overmatch every nosing cruiser with this caliber. So if the citadel is behind, it’s a easy devstrike. And yes, if a cruiser is too thin (like Smolensk), AP shells can just go threw and do over pen damages. It would even be more useful to use HE (because it will do citadel damage with this caliber) but you need to think about it, have time to reload and your teammates will think you’re a potato by using HE
Too much overmatch now, if they want this ship to still be feasible it'll need more armor. Also, agreed the guns are too inconsistent, especially for only 6 guns at tier 10. But adjusting old ships to balance new ones isn't Wargamings thing.
BBs in general have gotten rough to use in this game. The boring campy snipe fest playstyle in higher tiers is pretty much why I stick to tiers 6-8 for randoms. I actually have fun in the mid tiers, brawling multiple ships happens frequently, or at least it does for me. Now that you can just launch right into the next battle when you die, just send it, and have fun!
Those type of games are exactly why I played way more Tier VIII than anything, now I just get double uptiered and absolutely ruined before my guns are within range
@@loganamurray64 T8 is the best tier for me. I like the credit income of a T8 premium, getting up tiered helps that. 1 million + credits sailing a Mass is pretty nice. My highest xp round (5K+) was in a Dirpitz.
It is pretty strong in rank and cw, dont play it in random. In short, incomp is hard to deal ss and cv, but other than that, incomp is actually pretty good
It’s definitely hindsight bias I remember a time where if you caught a Japanese cruiser within 10 km in an American battleship you deleted them every time now it’s hit or miss
I don't think 6 gun battleships are the most rewarding. At least with 9 guns or more the likelihood that you dev strike a broadside cruiser is far higher, thanks to more shells canceling out the bad RnG.
This is like the Izumo gameplay for me. I come through the line being unicom and with the izumo i land as a bad player, then get great again for Yamato. I just hate Izumo D:
I love it although I agree it is inconsistent and squishy. The rng in general in the game is a pain. It feels worst on these ships but I get these weird shots all the time, whatever the boat. This game is too much rng based. I have stopped playing wows consistently recntly because of this. I feel it has been getting worst these last years.
I wish the game allowed this ship to be as accurate as it should be. Also, the amount of people who see you *and go out of their way to shoot you* is truly cancer. Edit: do you not understand armour schemes at all? Incomparable is made to 1 v 1. She doesn't take citadels through the bow and her sides are impossible to overmatch. There are hidden plates in the bow and extra cheek armour providing an almost-icebreaker. And you have torps and hydro!
This game has become all RNG, it is not only incomparable that suffers, even leg petro suffers from RNG a lot. Don't believe me? Watch Daniel rusef latest highlights if you don't have leg petro , which supposed to be consistent. It has happened to me so much in leg petro (shooting full broadsides and not getting anything) that I don't think it is worth it anymore.
Consider these points to compare both ships: Incomp - very low hp for a t10 (70k), very poor armor for a bb, highly vulnerable raised citadel, 6 508mm guns, slightly better than average reload (28 sec base), very short range (17.6km), above average accuracy (1.9 sigma), great dispersion (195m), good turret traverse (30 sec 180), has torps, great speed (33kts), poor maneuverability (1160m), decent handling (16 sec rudder), amazing concealment (13km base) Lauria - pretty low hp for a t10 (79.2k), great armor, oddly shaped citadel (good in some places, bad in others) 8 457mm guns, below average range (19.3km), standard reload (30 sec), has SAP, decent accuracy (1.8 sigma), great dispersion (209m), good turret traverse (30 sec 180), average reload (30 sec base), great speed (35kts), poor maneuverability (1000m), decent handling (17 sec rudder), standard concealment (15.2km base) Overall I'd say Lauria is better purely due to its greater gun volume, having access to SAP, and great armor despite its low hp pool
I mean I feel like if you wanted consistently accurate guns you wouldn’t play a battlecruiser with some of the biggest guns in game, but no one likes rng of course
Any battleship suffers from over pen. Just notice it more when you have less guns. Hell even heavy cruisers see it, ive learned to just laugh it off and move on
Your negativity in this video is annoying. Say what you have to say about the ship and call it good. If you want to be negative about Wargaming's balancing of the game, make another video solely about that for people who are interested in the topic.
I believe R. Di Lauria is next? I hope so. Nice video and good feedback. Still I have it, and its good for me. Mecklemburg thou... so little calibre for a tier 10. I don't like it, I never will get it.
I stopped watching Flamu because of the never ending complaining. We get your reasons for being unhappy with RNG, no reason to say it 15 or 20 times in the same vid. I watch you for your good game play because I learn so much about positioning and aiming etc., but you are getting harder to watch. Take care.
WG’s habit of correcting their mistakes in introducing bullshit ships by fudging dispersion and sigma is really irritating. Add to this the aiming system actually working against you and my will to play BBs goes to nil
I Don't understand how you say inconsistency when your one shell from incomp pens you to give 7k with heavy ap built I still don't understand people that you can't give consistency to a bc with this big gun and alpha and ovm it would be really unfair to see one whole bunch of pixel devastating everything
i am so with you on this one,,, this game has changed so much for the worse. you no longer have to learn how to play a certain style of shit the right way. there is no punishment or reward for doing the right or wrong thing. broadside ships do not take the damage there suppose to take anymore. I dont know how many times im in a battleship 8k away from a ship and its broadside and i get zero damage or all my rounds just dont even hit, then i get killed... the game has changed way to much for the worse.

Super ships will also eat your credits alive Satsuma will barely generate money in games while Shikishima will. I've had clan members send tickets about the superships to WG.
Then they should stop buying things they can't afford.
Incomparable... more like Inconsistantable...
So? Incomparable is fun as hell. I play her as a fast secondary and torpedo run-up-and-smash-em-in-the-face brawler, just have to keep her out of the fray until it’s GO TIME and you get those can’t-miss shots.
@@michaelray3865 Let's have a guess. Your winrate with that build is like 30% or so? Got it.
@@ΔημήτριοςΠράπας dude, I don’t give a flip about “win-rate” and other “stats”. I’m not in it to “win”, I’m in it to have fun! Granted, you need to play any given match to the best of ability and according to the development of the bout so as not to screw everyone else.
It still doesn't make up for having 6 shells with mediocre accuracy.
No idea why but i just prefer the Montana she just works for me as far as consistency on the guns and yeah they been flooding the game with either 457's and larger caliber guns so armor becoming more meaningless and you can't really push in due to subs so yeah its not as fun as it used to be
Montana and Bourgogne are hands down the most consistent battleships in the game, in my opinion
@@Skerra-kk6sm Honestly i think its funny even with all the downside's the old Monty still has it don't own a Bourgogne yet not enough self control on my part been wasting my steel on coal ships if she's like the jean bart im sure id love her
@@reftouswarships6731 Bourgogne is phenomenal. It has issues with bow in cruisers because it has such a wide dispersion but the AP smashes broadsides and the HE seems to burn things better than my Thinderer. It's also fast as f*ck and has troll armour. Plus reload booster if you need to shoot something before it comes out of broadside.
@@reftouswarships6731 Do not waste Steel on coal ships; it's too rare for that.
Congrats for 50k
I found it much more accurate by using only the front guns. When using all of her guns at the same time, the rear turret dispersion is disgusting. 9:20 perfect example
Have you played the Munchen? I got it from a random crate and I've found it's pretty good at it's tier. Good range and refire rate, fast, maneuverable.
Rng based bb's are the worst and usually really disappointing besides the rare lucky volley.
Ship Request: Carnot
Thanks for video but it's still fun ship I love playing her giving surprises attack on ships
Incomp in Asymmetric Battles was the most fun I’ve ever had in WoWS. So naturally, they took it away…
Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a buffed version on the drawing board so they can resell it.
Nice to see the insanity coming to an end.
What’s your setup your pc
Don't you overpen the citadel on Cruisers when there broadside to you and that why you shoot them when angled because the shells have time to arm?
Having Incomparable on your account is an invitation to be haunted by the ghost of Jackie Fisher
No Desks, Keyboards or monitors were harmed in the filming of this video.
the aiming bug is real. lots of weird shell landings these days. one salvo can miss and overpen and torp protect and ricochet. durrrr
thanks PQ. i don't play anymore but get a semi-fix from watching your content.
It is pretty strong in rank and cw, dont play it in random. In short, incomp is hard to deal ss and cv, but other than that, incomp is actually pretty good
No armour the best armour! Yea, its a thing on this game
so its
1. Bourgone
2. Meck
3. Lauria
4. Incomp
5. Shiki
Have the first three, and all are good. The difference is the nation, they can help you to level up commanders for three nations.
@@EvoraGT430 they are not battleships....
The Shikishima/St Louis rivalry is peak 2024
Cries in tsurugi
Man complains about bow-in cruisers not taking damage and overmatch in the same video... never change PQ!
It’s definitely hindsight bias I remember a time where if you caught a Japanese cruiser within 10 km in an American battleship you deleted them every time now it’s hit or miss
I just got incomparabled two salvos on my Rhode Island and poof!
Can't wait for Super Hood that'll have more guns than this one.
I don't think 6 gun battleships are the most rewarding. At least with 9 guns or more the likelihood that you dev strike a broadside cruiser is far higher, thanks to more shells canceling out the bad RnG.
What mods do you use?
Click on his channel, he has a video going through the ones he uses.
I get the frustration with the inconsistency, but when I am seeing damage totals of 150K+ for everyone of these matches I feel like I can get over it.
i have about 10% of the steel needed
Well, imo, incomp is quite good since a friend of mine did 400k with IT in one game
How does this compare to Lauria?
it doesn't, it's incomparable (lmao)
Nice one 😂@@TheDeathReincarnate
Consider these points to compare both ships:
Incomp - very low hp for a t10 (70k), very poor armor for a bb, highly vulnerable raised citadel, 6 508mm guns, slightly better than average reload (28 sec base), very short range (17.6km), above average accuracy (1.9 sigma), great dispersion (195m), good turret traverse (30 sec 180), has torps, great speed (33kts), poor maneuverability (1160m), decent handling (16 sec rudder), amazing concealment (13km base)
Lauria - pretty low hp for a t10 (79.2k), great armor, oddly shaped citadel (good in some places, bad in others) 8 457mm guns, below average range (19.3km), standard reload (30 sec), has SAP, decent accuracy (1.8 sigma), great dispersion (209m), good turret traverse (30 sec 180), average reload (30 sec base), great speed (35kts), poor maneuverability (1000m), decent handling (17 sec rudder), standard concealment (15.2km base)
Overall I'd say Lauria is better purely due to its greater gun volume, having access to SAP, and great armor despite its low hp pool
Best steel ship
Can ya do Salem please? Salem in 2024!!!
It's just like DM
@@EvoraGT430 weaker radar and no sonar (if you play radar) with a super heal makes the gameplay slightly different
some pairs of shells look like lazer beams ... others laughably not so much ..... great examples of inconsistency
Surely you cant compare it so you well never know how good it is
The Incomparable is not a battleship nor is it a battlecruiser. The Incomparable is a very large gunboat destroyer.
2nd attempt on PQ taking out Tier 8 Baltimore
A lot better than Bongo You think you could figure that out on your own..
I mean I feel like if you wanted consistently accurate guns you wouldn’t play a battlecruiser with some of the biggest guns in game, but no one likes rng of course
TLDR: PQ still hates 6 gun battleships
Any battleship suffers from over pen. Just notice it more when you have less guns. Hell even heavy cruisers see it, ive learned to just laugh it off and move on
She is Incomparable
Inconceivable, more like.
One of my clan members has this ship and they do very well with it. Me not interested in it.
Your negativity in this video is annoying. Say what you have to say about the ship and call it good. If you want to be negative about Wargaming's balancing of the game, make another video solely about that for people who are interested in the topic.
It's not a good bb but it sure looks cool
I believe R. Di Lauria is next?
I hope so.
Nice video and good feedback.
Still I have it, and its good for me.
Mecklemburg thou... so little calibre for a tier 10.
I don't like it, I never will get it.
I stopped watching Flamu because of the never ending complaining. We get your reasons for being unhappy with RNG, no reason to say it 15 or 20 times in the same vid. I watch you for your good game play because I learn so much about positioning and aiming etc., but you are getting harder to watch. Take care.
Wisconsin spoiled you....
WG’s habit of correcting their mistakes in introducing bullshit ships by fudging dispersion and sigma is really irritating. Add to this the aiming system actually working against you and my will to play BBs goes to nil
There are no degrees of uniqueness. It is a binary.
Wasting points on AA as usual. AA is a joke even when fully spec'd
You should just not play this game if this much RNG displeases you
HMS inconsistency. 😂
I Don't understand how you say inconsistency when your one shell from incomp pens you to give 7k with heavy ap built
I still don't understand people that you can't give consistency to a bc with this big gun and alpha and ovm it would be really unfair to see one whole bunch of pixel devastating everything
i am so with you on this one,,, this game has changed so much for the worse. you no longer have to learn how to play a certain style of shit the right way. there is no punishment or reward for doing the right or wrong thing. broadside ships do not take the damage there suppose to take anymore. I dont know how many times im in a battleship 8k away from a ship and its broadside and i get zero damage or all my rounds just dont even hit, then i get killed... the game has changed way to much for the worse.
Just came to hear the word incomparable mispronounced 17 times.
The RNG rigging continues. Why matches are either crushing defeats or absolute victories. What a joke this game is now.
