I tried my best to not include a lot of the samples that were used in EATEOT in this playlist as I could, and spent a lot of time searching through other 1920s/30s songs to use instead. But those specific 3 songs just fit in this playlist so well and I just love "Was it a dream?" way too much xD

Nifty is from the 1950s, not the 1850s, to clear up some the false comments, though I doubt "Nifty" is her ACTUAL name, but a mere nickname gifted by Alastor, so it COULD be that he got the name from that song, though it is unlikely for Nifty is called "Nifty" for her cleaning specialties, she keeps the place clean, put together, NIFTY though I also wouldn't put down this head canon, it's an interesting one to look at and is defiantly much more intriguing than many I've seen on nifty, so I'll be remembering this one, thank you for pointing it out!

@@Coco_1958 Judging from Rosie's attire, the general aesthetic of Cannibal Town (her audition sheet mentions that Cannibal Town "seems locked in the early 1910's"), and the fact her audition sheet talks about her being "the Dolly Levi of Hell" to the point that her audition song is "I Put My Hand In" from Hello, Dolly!, which is notably set in the 1890s, I personally think Rosie's meant to look very generally from the 1890-1914 period, which spans both the very late Victorian era and the whole Edwardian era. but again, that's Viv only using the VERY most general aesthetics and details of the eras these characters come from to give her what she wants in each character, and even that's not being as fully utilized as I personally think it could be-like, to use other examples, Sir Pentious's from 1888 but the only ways you can really tell he MIGHT be from 1888 are his wearing a top hat and being a steampunk inventor, wary of modern technology, and a bit uncomfortable with Angel Dust being as sexually casual as he is, while Valentino being from the 1970s is really only reflected in his closed wings and hat looking like a 1970s pimp suit and his being the porn Overlord because he died when porn films/videos were starting to explode in popularity in the US. I can DEFINITELY tell that neither Viv or anyone else with a lot of say in the IP is really into history as a subject, especially as someone who actually got both an Associates and their Bachelors in History because they've been that into it for most of their life.
If you like this kind of aesthetic, I would really recommend Lackadaisy, a webcomic that is being turned into an indie animated series like Hazbin Hotel was. It’s very good, with very good characters and a very “Alastor” aesthetic. (Jazz, radio static, showmanship, and sharp smiles)

i made my own alastor playlist and it was always the ones from the 20s to the 30s (some that were released after 1933). some jack hylton songs, al bowlly, bing crosby, benny goodman's music, american quartet's moonlight bay (my most favorite), five foot two, and doin the uptown london this playlist is making me discover more music!

Well, that wasn't my intention, the drawing was based on a image from 1930s, this was my best attempt at recreating it with Alastor xD But to be fair it isn't inaccurate, as smoking weed was pretty common in 1930s xD

Cannabis was outlawed in 1937 (Marihuana tax act). So, in the 20s, opium, morphine, heroin and cocaine were not as easy to buy legally as prior to 1915 but were enormously widespread. Marijuana and all other drugs you can think of were still totally legal, just regulated for selling

So, if we are going to assume he was in his 30s or early 40s that would put his birth date around that time. I didn't want to just make up some arbitrary number so I put the 1890s/1900s there because it just isn't officially known
