One of the unique things with a 6,000 is the nitrogen powered hydraulic system. You can turn the engine off and pick up a plow at least three times with the engine off. When we was young man. we was given special instructions to cycle it until it was depleted .in case some of the younger kids came around messing with the tractor
When I was growing up. We had two of the Ford 6000 Diesel engine. My brother blew the engine on one of them. Don’t remember what happened to the other one.
Very nice 6000! They are a fun tractor to run and show.
Great looking Tractor,, wish I own one the select transamiston is great. I owned a 4000 / 1964 that had it enjoyed it.
I'd rather hear the sound of the tractor than some music.

Wish he had a nice ford rake to go along with tractor. Maybe a 515
Thank you
Would have been awesome with tractor sound.
Does anyone know someone who specializes on the 6000? I have one I would like to restore but am having some issues.
I'd rather hear the tractor instead of the typical Kermit the frog sounding country music singer.
How do you change the belts on these?
