BMW F30 Tech & Cosmetic Mods

The modification story first started when I took my car to a local so called "BMW Mod Expert" asking 100s of pounds for even a small mod on my car. I took my time watching videos and researching online to gain knowledge, and finally I can show you all my mods that are DIY by myself over the past three years.

Thanks for the video. I drive a 2014 335i and I have been debating whether to retrofit NBT EVO ID5/6 or just add an MMI BOX. I am leaning towards the MMI (cost and simplicity of installation). I have a backup camera but I definitely want a front camera. The PDC isn’t enough, great to see it installed. Cheers!

Hi 👋 you have a nice model of BMW, so I understand you want to get more out of it. I suggest you stay away from changing your headunit for ID5/6 since it is going to be more expensive and lots of coding will be needed. Also I've seen some cases where it clashes with other ECU's communication and gives constant errors. Also if in the future, every time you take your car for a repair you'll have to re-code the retrofit headunit.
On the other hand, you have MMI box that can be installed easily, requires no coding, reasonable price (around £150-200) and will give you many more options than any Evo ID, such as two camera connections, usb media playback, phone mirroring on both ios and android.
