I consider this to be the perfect sculpt for batman. Not my favorite suit as well I much prefer black and gray with flat bat suit. I hope they use this sculpt for that suit as well
This is the best action figure sold for $20 or less in the last 2 years. I love the gray and blue with yellow oval. This is what Batman is supposed to look like. I really would like to add the SDCC release of this figure. I did order a few more to keep in box in case mine breaks or damaged in anyway. I wanted to always be able to have a new one.
For me... blue and gray Batman all day, and this figure really hits it home. It replaced my DC Essentials Knightfall Batman. It's still a good figure, but this McFarlane version just does it for me and yes... it is my definitive Batman figure. I was lucky enough to get both this and the SDCC version. I will be upgrading the retail version by shading the gray body suit a bit and replacing the cape with a soft goods cape.
The head on mine has the same issue, so it's the actual mold. I'm OK with the blue tone, but I'd definitely prefer a darker shade of gray. And you're right, the plastic quality is better. No more imperfections., cracks, shinny spots, etc. The only significant gripe I have is the size of the feet.
I'd prefer to combine elements of this and the HUSH Blue Batman. When I see each I go: That's the perfect Batman. I'm going to do some dark blue and dark grey shading to see if I can make this perfect. His body looks smaller than the Hush but when I put them together it isn't. Same goes with the arms. Time for a "Bat Off" between all the comic versions and to a larger extent all the non-else world figures. He was originally black a d grey back in 1939 but growing up in the 70's up through 89' This WAS batman.
I ordered mine from the McFarlane toy store and they took care of the figure. Definitely going order from their store for now, I can't trust Amazon anymore. Love the videos👍👍
I just grab on Knighfall at my local store, It reminds me of the current run of the World Finest by Waid and Mora, one question outside the box... I still have it in the original package, should I open it and show it on the shelve without ut?...
Really good figure. I dunno why I'm not buying this. I guess it's the colors and the lack of paint detail on the belt. Yellow oval bat emblem looks immaculate, though. If McF makes another one and repainted it in darker grey with black, that's the one I would get for sure.
I'd have preferred longer ears aswell, #492 was the first Batman comic I ever bought so I have a very fond memories of this design. However I do prefer the Jim Lee style batman and in terms of colors I definitely prefer gray/Black rather than blue. It is a great figure, but when it comes to the definitive Batman figure, my money is on the MAFEX Black & Gray Batman Hush figure.
Just came across your video. Great work, like it a lot. I totally agree with you on the jawline defect. I purchase 4 knight fall figures online through GameStop, was going to give it to some of my friends, I opened one and closely inspect all 4 figures, they all have that unevenness on the jaw. The left jaw seems thicker…and on one of the figure it was really obvious on the defect which I would probably swap out the head. Do not buy a second one….well that’s up to you lol. But I think this is a sculpt issue, whoever sculpt the head made it not perfect….I mean if you think about it it’s a rare thing that our features in real life is even such as our eyes, ears, arms legs…etc. it’s a great Batman figure though, still one of my favorite.
At first I was no way but as soon he star looking at supposedly imperfections on the jaw. I said yeap he comes the hate. 😂😂😂 now is a regular review from him.
Yeah. Nothing but obscure Batmen with some comic figure thrown in every once in a while. It's gotten a bit better lately but the horrible articulation and 7 in scale that's still all over the place don't help.
Good review. I'm not familiar with your RUclips catalogue, so I need to ask. Is there a McFarlane figure that has ever merited a perfect ten in your reviews?
this was a pain to find for a reasonable price from where I'm from. My girlfriend surprised me with one and I kinda felt bad that she paid way more to get this for me but I'm grateful that she supports me with my hobby.
I own this figure and it's alright, I don't like the colors and the articulation is just not good. I'm getting the mafex knightfall batman and I think it's gonna be my definitive blue and gray batman
Always enjoy your in depth HD figure reviews! Also, I have an unopened Knightfall Batman. Since you're not crazy about how the face is shaped on yours, I can trade my Batman with yours. Let me know if you're interested
I get you Dave, but you're trying really hard not to like it just like me. We all have been disappointed before, but this time they got it at least 95% right. It is my justice league batman, but I still like the Hush BAT better.
You don't want Ties on your figures what about if your inbox collector senior figure slips out you never know plus who complains about something so small like a tie you
The more i watch the video, the more you sound like youre actually finding things to hate about the figure that are actually just fine and just not problems at all(elbows, wrists) because of your initial false bias (nonexistent jaw problem) so i already feel this review is compromised and not of unbiased opinion.. im fine for honest reviews but im not a fan of positively or negatively biased reviews..
You're insane for seeing to many minute details weirdo, in the definitive battyman's that's ever been produced. Not saying it's the best action figure dolly of all time, but as far as McFartlane's weirdo scale and flowing statue crap, this one is a remarkable achievement from this company.😂❤

Like Arkham or hush?

This looks more like a Neal Adams batman than Knightfall
Bane and this Batman 2 pack coming in the future…. Wait and see
i mean ur not wrong

The gold lable should come with a crooked spine.
I want them to make this come in a two pack with Bane with some of the modifications needed to each figure
That’s an Arthur adams batman! Love it!!!
This is a good looking sculp. I don’t see the jawline problem. The blue is a bit bright for me, but it is comic accurate.
*This is the Batman of mid-eighties comic book, best Batman figure so far*
Definitely one of the best. Now imagine it in black with dark grey and black bat symbol with alternate head
Tbh I really believe the DC license is going nowhere with mcfarlane
The only thing I think the figure could use is some shading in the grey and blue but it's a nice one overall.
I don't see what you're seeing with the jaw, but I do wear glasses so there's that.
Must be yours, mine is fine😳
I always squeeze the cape together before removing it so I dont damage cape while removing it

This is my favorite Batman. So nice I bought it twice... one to customize.
I pre-orderd this when it first went up on Amazon, and I must say I'm happy to have it.

Homie goes from there being no issues with the figure to complaining about legs and jaws.

The San Diego comic con exclusive version may change your opinion on this figure

With regards to the jaw, yes - my Batman appears to have an abscess in his lower right jaw, I have booked him into see the dentist to get it sorted 😅
Wondering what’s your favorite McFarlane Batman to date?
Yeah. Nothing but obscure Batmen with some comic figure thrown in every once in a while. It's gotten a bit better lately but the horrible articulation and 7 in scale that's still all over the place don't help.

It’s Neal Adams-y, mannn…..vibes of ‘71-73….. yeah get on the Adams train and you will pick up on the grooove 🦤🧘♂️🚂 🚂🚂 ✌🏻 ☮️
ive ordered a cloth cape for mine off ebay
I just wish the gray was a darker shade

lengthy joint as alwaya
His body looks way too misshaped and clunky to be considered a GREAT Batman

Yea. I literally never heard anyone complain about his jaw. Not even Anthony Customs. This feels like nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking.
Yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
