Especially when he's honestly hungry and really needs the fish. I respect his way. But I would shoot the 1st nice fish I saw. One if those permit would have gotten a hole poked in it immediately. Because sometimes you don't see anything else after passing up something good. And I love to eat permit. I grew up catching and eating saltwater fish in Florida. Permit are definitely fishy-er than snapper but I like it. It's good breaded and fried or grilled. I bet it would make great ceviche too. Pardon the unintended pun ..but BREATHTAKING footage ! 😲🥰 Pluck, you're seriously gourmet, I wish I had your imagination for cooking, I'm starting to doubt my ability to feed myself while cruising. 🙄
Great footage especially liked the long approach shot. Fin table & cooking lessons were brilliant. Cannt wait for the humour too, with u & Mardgarita back again soon.😀👍
I swam in a lake at summer camp and every time we got out of the water we used a baby bottle with alcohol and peroxide mixed. Nobody got ear aches if they used the bottle, those who didn't learned quick.
i remember my grandmother making small sacks of cloth sewn shut and filled with salt to place over my ear when i had ear infection...she said it drew the moisture out...i remember it working...it should be effective before infection as well...alcohol works well because it has high evaporation rate...
Lol Love your spearfishing rules of engagement, they deserve their own special plaque in the boat. 😁 Good tip about the rice vermicelli, I should also use more of that, and that fish recipe looked Flippin fantastic 🔥👍🏻 With regard to your ear, that’s a good tip about the olive oil for sure. I had ear infection problems for years when I dived or swam, then found my solution which has worked for the past 30 years and that’s to create my own ear drying solution using 50% rubbing alcohol (doesn’t really matter which strength you use, I typically use the 50% or higher) +50% pure white vinegar mix. I put it in those ear dropper bottles that you buy ‘swimmers ear’ in, it takes about 20 mL of each ingredient to fill the bottle, so it’s dirt cheap and if you can’t find rubbing alcohol then just use good old high strength vodka. Then after every swim without fail, I put three or four drops in each ear and then drain it out, and I give my right ear a double dose because it has some weird thing going on inside which causes it to trap water and get more infected than usual. Use toilet paper just like you did to dry it out afterwards, and never put anything in your ear bigger than your little finger, certainly never use Q-tips, which usually only serve to shove any debris further into your ear. I’ve never had an ear infection since I started doing this 35+ years ago. My ear nose & throat Doc back in South Africa said bacteria can start growing in the ear canal within an hour after getting out of warm water, especially salt water, so it needs to be done reasonably soon after you get out of the water. Of course if you are diving again and again during the day one after the other like you often do, then you would just do the drops at the end of all your dives for the day. If you do that my man, I doubt you’ll ever need to even use the olive oil trick, because this also stops buildup of wax in your ear canal. Just an idea from an old surfer-diver dude, cheers 💥👍🏻😁 PS: The only commercial ear medication that ever worked for me after an ear infection had started, was Hyland's Earache Drops, and they literally work like magic if used soon after an infection starts, most times it clears it up overnight. Hyland’s has a super long shelf life too, lasts for years.
You spear fishing and living off the sea pretty epic. No other sailing channel come close. Love the sailing as much as parking and spending enough time in an area to warrent leaving. Your not checking the box, Click Clack Kodiak, post agram then on to the next box to check off.

From a person who had swim ear alot until a doctor told me ear wax is your friend it's acidic and bacteria hates acid ( vinegar) alcohol ( hydrophobic) to is the best alternative until enough wax has build up to protect you . All the water is washing away the acid from the wax leaving your ear vulnerable
Peroxide ear soak, you can handle the fizz, clears up ear wax in a few minutes. I have allergies that cause a wax buildup so I dose me ears with peroxide about once a week.
