Feeding bees in a dearth

- A dearth can really damage a honeybee colony if you don't do anything about it. Especially in the hot and dry southern states, bees need to be fed sugar water to survive. Without blooming flowers, bees can quickly starve if the beekeeper isn't paying attention and feeding their hives.

Great video! I'm enjoying watching your journey into beekeeping. Here in the Northeast, assuming our colonies have plenty of food (70lbs or 7-8 deeps up here) and the mites were sufficiently knocked down with a decent cluster size going into winter, moisture would be the biggest killer of a colony, so ventilation is key.
Interesting! What do you do about ventilation?
I'm taking off my Apivar next week, I hope the mite counts are low 😬
