    Best explanation I’ve found on RUclips for someone wanting to do routine DIY maintenance on their car. You have a deep understanding of cars and that comes across in how well and concisely you explain everything. Thank you!!

    Wow
    .. they steering wheel indicator lit up on my dashboard and i looked online for the power steering reservoir on kia optima 2018 and i went to the store and bought 2 bottles...
    When i got home i popped the hood and could not find it for the life of me... i am not a mechanic nor am i handy.
    I will be returned the bottles asap.
    I did further digging and i discovered that a battery may cause certain problems so... i purchased a battery (i also experienced trouble starting the vehicle) and replaced the battery.. afterwards, all is well.
    Thank you for this video though, it is very informational.😊👍👍👍👍

    You completely skipped over where the transmission fluid goes. I have a 2013 kia rio manual. Where is the add fluid plug? Just want to top off not drain completely.

    Can you water inplace of the coolant

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  Месяц назад

      Not really no. But if its just get a little bit (100-200ml) and if you are in an emergency, its okay. But again, not recommended.

    Add like a hair above max, kia oil pump sucks and it will burn oil and it will burn less if you keep it JUST a hair over

    That car has NOT oil in the transmission...awesome🎉

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  9 месяцев назад +3

      The car has oil in the transmission. Just that there is no easy way to check it. No dipstick or view port. You can just drain and refill it if you like and you need a jack and other tools for that.

    What if you over fill the expansion tank with coolant? How to remove?

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  8 месяцев назад

      Well you can get a turkey baster to suck the fluid out, but realistically you can just leave it in. There is a relief hole at the top of the expansion tank in the event that there is too much fluid in it and no more room to expand, it will just spill the excess fluid out of there.
